Reasonably priced collection of treasures. A handful of nice mid century pieces. Very friendly service and great group running this place.

This is a great little hole in the wall. So many unique items and this business has a «family run» feel to it, which I like. I’ll be back.

Definitely worth stopping in and doing a little treasure hunting. I’ve had pretty great luck here: a pair of cute, red outdoor chairs that were a super bargain, a quirky desk chair, and a gorgeous dresser. The selections change pretty frequently, and they’ll deliver(price depends on where and what) or help you load your new-found treasures into your car.

For Colorado in general this place is sort of pricey but it is one of the only legitimate antique stores in Denver with quality pieces. To give you an idea: a Jade colored ceramic bowl(unmarked) was about $ 50. Some of the things I noticed they had a reasonable amount of right now: lightening fixtures, dressers, cast iron ceiling pot racks, and a wide selection of jewelry.

I love this place. It has an interesting selection, fair prices, and good turnover so there are always new pieces. Friendly and helpful service. Other stores I browse in seem way overpriced for old, yucky furniture, but The Red Door has nice things with style, not junk, for reasonable prices. We have bought a few things here and I will keep coming back.

I had a hard time finding real antique stores in Denver. Too many were filled with tacky reproductions. This place is the real deal. I saw some very nice things there. If I were looking for furniture and decorations I would start here. Being from out of town I was looking for photos and small things. I found some nice things and the prices were reasonable. Owner was helpful and very down to earth. I will be sure to come back. Note it is hard to see from Tennyson you have to be on 44th it is a little set back.

This place is absolutely lovely and so are the women who run it. I purchased several old wooden crates for less than half the price of all the antique stores I searched throughout Denver. The prices are VERY reasonable, even cheap in my opinion. Anyone who says this place is overpriced is nuts. I hesitate to even review this place because I really want to keep it a secret…

Good selection and overall fair prices. Almost all of the pieces appear to be in great condition, and when that isn’t the case it clearly states«as is.» I didn’t end up finding what I was looking for but I know that I’ll be back.

This place is amazing! Just happened to be driving by one day and stopped in to look around. Now, every time I’m in the Highlands I have to stop and check what they’ve got. There is artwork, furniture, lamps, jewelry, old hats, dishes, a wee little bit of clothes and shoes, all kinds of different things. So the last time I went in, I spotted this lamp that was nearly identical to another vintage glass lamp that I found at a garage sale a couple years ago. I was beyond static to have a matching pair. So I asked the lady, how much? She told me $ 45, I offered $ 35, done deal. I bring the lamp up to the counter and the lady notices(I didn’t see a thing, ha!) that lamp has been broken and someone had glued it back together. She says«I can’t sell that, you can have it» WHAWHAT??? Saweet! So I bought a lamp shade for $ 10 and took the lamp to its new home. You cannot even tell that it has been broken and the glass pattern is slightly different than my other lamp, which is better than them being identical. I’ll will keep returning to The Red Door!

You can get amazing deals here and the inventory changes often. I have a beautiful comfy stuffed armchair with matching ottoman($ 225 for both and I’m on them right now) sitting in my living room, while above my head on the wall is a fantastic antique baseball woodcut from an ancient Harper’s Weekly, framed in solid cherry with non-glare glass($ 68). I love my chair and picture! As some people have noted, some things seem oddly overpriced. My strategy for those: don’t buy them! Simple! I always want to pick up more things, but alas, lack the room at home.

I enjoy browsing this store, especially because they have a lot of mid century mod furniture at decent prices and they are usually well-refinished, but when I was here last Friday I was turned off. There are a number of young teens who work here, maybe family members but I’m not sure, and the proprietor spent the entire time we were in the store barking and yelling at them, swearing loudly and in general making us quite uncomfortable. It was a disappointing experience and didn’t make me want to purchase the classic Danish dresser I had picked out, or return to the store anytime soon.

Amazing selection… at ridiculous prices! My heart literally skipped a beat when I walked into this place… and then it skipped another beat when I saw the prices! The lady who owns the shop obviously has an eye for design, especially mid century modern, but she also knows how to price her stuff… and a little too high in my opinion. There was sooooo much I wanted to buy there, but when you price a freakin’ floral lampshade over $ 100, that’s where you lose me. I did come away with a fantastic wicker patio set from the 60’s, but only because the lady hadn’t found the time to paint it yet. She told me after she painted it she was going to double the price(it took me 20 minutes to spray-paint it… definitely not worth doubling the price over). It also took me a good amount of arguing and walking away before she would lower the price $ 20 measly bucks. She kept saying«but it cost me $ 150 at auction» which I believed until her young grandson overheard her and said«no it didn’t grandma»…BUSTED! Anywho, if you are looking for something specific or retro, she’s got a great selection, but you’ll pay for what you get and probably pay too much

I was surprised by the reviews on Unilocal after stopping in at this shop today. We were in the neighborhood and I saw they had furniture out so I popped in – seemed very over priced to me – saw several items that I’ve seen listed on Craigs or Ebay for half price, and it smelled distinctly like cigarette smoke… unimpressed. Three stars — they did have a lot of stuff.

yeah! i love this place! i stopped in yesterday to look for a few things for my new place and was pleasantly surprised that everything isn’t out of this world expensive. actually a few of the booths were super reasonable, i was kind of shocked. i didn’t get anything here, but i think i’ll be back to pick up a piece to use as a night stand. also, loving that it’s in my new hood even though it might be bad for my impulse buying problem.

I’ve walked past this place many times in the past 6 months, Friday decided to pop in. Looked like they had a really good selection of mid-century modern furniture, and some more classic pieces as well. Prices seemed reasonable, and the owner seemed very nice.
