The Blue Door Tattoo

My wife and I got tattoos on our honeymoon and 2 year’s later on our anniversary. We think they (Cami & Cory) are the absolute best! !!!

My husband & I just got our first tattoos here. The service was impeccable. Sherry did our tattos and she was amazing — very friendly, knowledgable, and a talented artist. We are sooo happy with her work and highly recommend this shop. We will definitely be back for future work.

The front desk person seemed personable and nice, but the tattoo artist Jess was very rude and curt. I have several tattoos and was very discouraged with the customer service of the tattoo rep and establishment. I wanted a quote for three letters and Jess rudely stated «I’m not up» don’t ask me. It depends on the artist the style, font etc. As I know these things, but the interaction and lack of or unwillingness to be treated as a customer was disappointing. I will stay with my original tattoo establishment (The Addiction).

For my first tattoo here today. Laura was excellent! She made it easy for this older newbie. Took great care with me and my daughter. We both got semicolon tattoos because our «story isn’t over yet»!

I wanted to get my first tattoo, and it was a memorial piece for my mother. I came to Laura with my idea, and she immediately started working on it to make it just right. During the actual session, Laura was friendly and kept up a great conversation to keep me distracted. The studio itself is very clean and comfortable; it has a great vibe to it. Everyone was super friendly and completely eased my nerves! The tattoo itself turned out beautiful — it was everything I was hoping for. I’ll definitely go back to Laura for my next tattoo!

The shop is extremely clean, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I have been going here for 3+ years, and I just love it! Cory is an exceptional artist, is professional, and has done some incredible work on my back.

I knew the tattoo I would get. Not my first and not my last, fairly intricate work, totally important image (to me). I didn’t have a current artist having been inked in Seattle (Deep Roots) the past two times. After some research I looked to The Blue Door. My reasons were mostly that they were very well-​reviewed by cogent-​seeming adult types; their fan-​base lacked pretentiousness and douchiness while, at the same time, possessed excellent grammar. After reviewing T.B.D.‘s artists’ portfolios I determined that I wanted to work with Sherry. The pictures from her work showed something I haven’t seen very often: the tattoos seem to have emanated from the body of the possessor rather than being separate… And there was no emphasis on the naughty-​bits or much blood (if you’re into naughty-​bits and blood that’s cool, but I’m dealing with black and white illustrations designed for stimulating the imaginations of children). I am greatly pleased with how prompt she was in responding to my queries and setting up an appointment. She was very communicative, asked questions that were reasonable. Sherry has a nice light touch so the time in the chair was easy, and she has a nice deft touch so the finished product is gorgeous. I intend to work with her in the future. And I would definitely recommend their other artists (who were around while I was in the chair). They were all really warm people… with style.

I have been a fan of The Blue Door for a few years now… after being referred by a friend, I have been inked by Sister Bear and Sherry but I’ve seen Corey’s work as well and all are most talented. It’s a friendly atmosphere, super clean environment, and wonderfully gifted artists work there. They will accommodate your requests, provide professional advice, and bring your inked dreams to fruition. You won’t be disappointed… Appointments are not necessary, but dependent on how much time your your artist will need to complete your individual tattoo. Prices competitive with other tattoo shops and varies according to time involved… Highly recommend.

I have been going to the blue door for about three years now and have always come away completely satisfied with my art as well as my entire experience. Sherry is an amazing artist, and the entire group there works very well together.
My friends have joined me in getting their art done there as well, and we are all so happy to have found this place. The price is right and the work is exceptional. Cannot wait to go back to begin the cover up process of an old piece. I know sherry will make it look amazing.

I am a more mature person, so when I decided to get a tattoo it was not on impulse. After another, well recommended artist had blown me off for over 6 weeks. I made an appointment with Corey at the Blue Door. He put me at ease from the beginning. He responded to my OCD and overwhelming questions by giving me a completely serious blank stare, responding with an absurd answer, and then a reassuring response, which is the correct way to handle me as it lets me know you know what you’re doing and you are not going to let me push you around! Corey knew this was my first tattoo, and while he didn’t baby me, he did reassure me every step of the way. He drew out on paper exactly what was in my mind to create the original piece that had the meaning I intended. He didn’t let me keep him from getting his job done with my chatter and nervousness and I must say handling me is not an easy task! The shop was clean and organized. As I tend to be a bit germ phobic this goes a LONG way with me. He made certain I was comfortable with the care of my new tattoo and knew how to reach him with any questions. He made me as relaxed and comfortable as a person cutting into my ankle and applying ink possibly could, and I really can’t say enough good things about this experience. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

We know friends that swear that Sister Bear is the goddess of tattoo and I have no doubt the are correct. Not only is she talented and experienced but she is genuine and nice. I am so tired of tattoo shops that are rude and all ego. Sister Bear understood we had a budget and told us what she could do instead of giving us attitude because of it. Her work was perfect and she played a «Blazing Saddles» while she worked instead of hard core metal. The shop is clean the staff is awesome and they have been around for a while.
