Terra Vista at the Park Apartments

I am a current resident & I’ve lived here for a year and a half. I am writing this review because I am currently dying of heat. Our apartment is 88 degrees inside. There is NO CENTRAL AIR! The wall unit doesn’t do anything & runs our bill up! I have 2 kids, both of whom are currently sweating profusely as they nap… I wish we could go cool off in our pool (that we pay for) but its STILL NOT FINISHED!!! Im pretty sure our pool was supposed to be done well before memorial day! Not to mention with the pool being under construction the gym can only be used during office hours… Not very convenient! I wouldn’t recommend moving here. Central air is a must & you’ll pay for things you cant use. Oh and theres NO Parking ever!

I have been a resident of this property for 3 years. When I first moved they were owned by Holland Residential and they had no desire to help residents. Greystar eventually replaced Holland Residential, and thankfully they got a whole new staff. The management did a great job cleaning up the mess they had to reverse. They have worked as hard as possible to renovate the complex as fast as they can. It baffles me that people don’t recognize that there is much more involved with renovations then a man and a hammer, so they are doing what they can as weather permits. Also, they had no control over a horrible complex fire that caused more delays. I was so pleased with how they went above and beyond to accomodate those families who suffered a loss. I was especially thrilled to hear that Crystal from the office went above and beyond to gather donations for those residents and their families to do what she could do to help. I had some difficulties with the prior leasing company, and with the new staff, they have made me feel much more at home. I would go straight to Dave or Crystal, and with no hesitation that would resolve any concern I had. Their maintenance is always very responsive and fast to assist. They also greet the tenants, which is rare for many properties. I would recommend this property to anyone because I’m sure when the renovations are done, it will be a great place for anyone to call home. Yes we have noise, but we live in apartments, so that is expected. Seems like residents have bashed the property with a sense of entitlement, and it appears they can’t please everyone, but I know I have loved living here and love speaking with Crystal and the rest of the staff. They have always made me feel welcomed and are so friendly with my little girl. It is a family and dog friendly complex. They have many more amenities than some other properties, so if you have certain expectations, perhaps read more about the property before moving in instead of being upset at them that you don’t live in a palace. At the end of the day, I want to say thank you to Crystal and the rest of the management there for turning things around and making it a better place.

Went there to see about leasing a unit. They had signs outside that said they had 1 bedroom/​2 bedroom available and I saw the leasing office. I decided to go in and check out the unit and inquire about pricing. Crystal was the one that «helped» me. She didn’t even introduce herself and acted like she was inconvenienced. Her entire demeanor was condescending and one that was not open or friendly. She didn’t even introduce herself and was very short when asking questions on what I was interested in. The entire conversation made me feel defensive and completely taken aback. I have never been treated that way before. I called the manager about it (Lindsey) and I am guessing nothing will be done since she defended Crystal. Judging by the numerous complaints about customer service, this isn’t a new problem for them. I would absolutely not recommend this place! They need to get their act together in that office and learn a few basic people skills.

I am a current resident! I have lived here for6 months! It’s an average apartment even though they say they are renovated! There is no central air and the wall unit sucks! The pool is still not opened as they are remodeling it but it was supposed to be done a few weeks ago! You cannot get to the work out room or hot tub unless you go through the leasing office so therefore I haven’t been able to work out after work for 6 months! Pretty horrible management and staff! Kiley sucks lied to me about several issues! Crystal has been pleasant to work with! Really wish I would have looked across the street same price nicer and a great pool! Regret moving here hope they acknowledge this and can fix it!

This place is essentially a slumlord run shit-​hole that you’ll be paying an overpriced lease and hating yourself for a year. Ah, maybe not that bad, but it’s pretty bad. Whatever they say (which will be lies, they’ll tell you everything but internet and gas/​electric are included in the rent price they show you, nope) your rent each month is going to be about 100 $ more than what they say, that’s when you include all the extra administrative fees, associative costs for utilities, 25 $ trash pickup that you can’t opt out of. The gym and pool were accessible about 3 or 4 months out of the year I was there and most of the gym equipment was broken or faulty, but they’ve probably fixed that by now… I guess. There is absolutely no parking after 5pm, unless you pay for a covered spot, street parking is the norm and running across a ditch if you’re on the lucky side of the complex. That’s really fun in winter.
Don’t expect the staff to treat like a human being either, after you move in, just steer clear of the office as much as possible. Once you’re in the lease you’ll be hearing a lot of, «I can’t do that», «that’s your responsibility», such as the case when you aren’t sent a final bill or given an amount to pay when you move out and they give you 85 $ late fee on top of whatever the rent was about a couple months later. The two most complicated days were trying to move in and trying to move out, they’ll try and charge you for anything they possibly can and will. You basically have to always watch your back there and put your expectation of a dive bar that serves food past 12am, with the attitude to come with it.
The apartment itself is fairly shitty, but you get what you pay for, a lotta space with walls that keep heat in and cool air out in the summer… unless it’s winter, then it’s opposite and you’ll be slamming on that heating to work. Honestly if you’re looking for a nice place to stay for a year or two, this isn’t it, find a privately rented place, at least then you won’t be treated like complete trash when you have a problem and you’ll have a cheaper shitty apartment with parking.

My fiancé keeps bringing up the issue about getting locked out. Apparently some tenants were never issued new keys to the outside doors. He keeps getting stuck outside. This is ridiculous. That should be grounds for early lease termination. We will write every bad review out there for them until they fix it. He just called today and was told they were still trying to determine how to fix the issue. It has been over several months of a problem now. Unacceptable.

I’ve lived here for 3 years. The property was recently sold and the management team changed. Recently, for the first time ever I stopped by the office (under the new management) to discuss a 25% increase on my lease renewal plus additional mandatory fees that weren’t included last year. I was vey rudely received by a blonde middle aged lady that seemed annoyed by my presence at the office. She didn’t even give me a chance to discuss the matter and categorically stated that I could either accept it or MOVE OUT! I felt humiliated. Although this apartment complex is well located for me, at a 15 minutes commute from my work place, I will be moving out and go somewhere else where they treat their residents with DIGNITY and RESPECT.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. This place is by far the worst apartment I have lived in and the prices have skyrocketed since the new management started. I lived here for a year. When I moved in I was excited because it was relatively cheap, seemed like a good neighborhood, close to a lot of things, had a washer and dryer, had a workout room (which is important for me), and had an indoor hot tub. What I did not realize is this apartment is in the middle of crime central, there is no air conditioning, the heater sucks, the kitchen is like a tight hallway, the workout room is rarely open, the pool is dirty and small, the hot tub is scorching, dog poop is rarely picked up, and some neighbors are inconsiderate.
The crime: I had my car broken into, which the office did not have a single care about (this place is supposed to have security roaming around ²⁴⁄₇).
Air conditioning: The place was advertized with air conditioning which I did not think to double check on when touring the apartment. Yes, there was air conditioning, but not central air. This meant that a small portion of the living room was freezing cold, but the rest of the apartment was muggy. Not to mention, my «air conditioner» was broken around the beginning of June and after numerous requests, maintenance replaced it after 3 weeks…3 weeks in a sweaty hot apartment in the middle of June… The heater had the same problem where it would only heat the living room and nowhere else. There were some winter nights that I would get into bed shivering.
The kitchen looks nice in theory until you use it. It is like a tight hallway and there in no way to use the washer and dryer and refrigerator at the same time, or the refrigerator and the dishwasher at the same time… or the stove and dishwasher at the same time… doesn’t seem like a big deal until you live with another person…
The workout room: this was by far my worst problem with this complex. In the lease it stated that the workout room would be open from 10am-​10pm every day. Now this is very important to me as I am big into nutrition and fitness and I usually work out 6 days a week. I have a very busy schedule between 2 jobs and school and would frequently show up around 830.9 at night for a workout. Almost every night they would close down early because the security guard felt like leaving early. There were even several times I would just begin a workout at 9pm and the security guard would kick me out… not cool. I reported this incidence to management several times, I’m talking like once a week (and I hate complaining). The apartment management always seemed sympathetic with my problems telling me they would take care of it. Did anything ever change? Nope. Not even after the new management took over. There were even entire days that it would not be open. My favorite was when I went in there around 8:55 pm and had just began my workout. Another woman was working out in there and said she had to go to her apartment and would be right back and asked me to save her bike for her. I agreed. When she returned she was at the window asking me to let her in because she forgot her keys inside the gym (to get into this workout room you have to go through the pool door and then the workout room door and both require an electronic key) I went to open the gate to the pool for her and in the meantime the workout room door had locked and our stuff was left locked inside… this was around 9:05 pm. We called security and the apartment manager and they laughed at us and said they would not come out for such an event. I left my apartment keys in there…
We attempted to use the indoor hot tub a few times just to find that every time we could only stand a few minutes because we felt like we were being boiled, that thing is way too hot and no I’m not just being pathetic, other residents agreed it was scorching.
Whereas there are several dog poop bag and trash can stations around the complex, for some reason many people refused to pick up their dog’s poop. In that case the responsibility would fall to management, but even after several requests to remove it the management would leave the dog poop all over the grass for months. This makes it hard to walk my dog when he pulls me into poop filled grass. Ew. Not to mention it attracts several flies.
I guess the neighbors situation is going to depend everywhere you go, but some of mine were exceedingly rude (sitting in their cars or apartments at 3:00 am blasting terrible music… the smell of pot drifting into my apartment while I’m trying to sleep.etc.) The walls are paper thin.
So, in my opinion, do not move there! It had some perks… being ½ a mile from a king soopers, located closely to downtown Littleton, close to a dog park, etc. In my opinion, it was not worth the small perks. I now have a much nicer apartment in a better part of town for the same price they now charge at Terra Vista.
Oh and the parking spots are tiny! Good luck fitting an SUV in one of those

I have lived at Terra Vista for almost a year. About half way through my lease, management changed
And it is like night and day now. The new management and new office staff are awesome. Not only is the new managment CO totally improving the entire apartment community with painting and renovations and beautiful landscaping, but the leasing staff is incredibly helpful, efficient, and just really nice, which seems to be rare these days with leasing offices. The price of rent is astronomical everywhere, but Terra Vista is still keeping their rates lower than most comparable. There’s a great pool, workout room with purified water, and hot tub. I’ve never had to call maintenence for any problems. All my appliances are new and everything works great. I am very happy. I don’t have one, but it’s a great place if you have a dog. Lots and lots of large grassy areas and paths. I will be renewing my lease. Plus it’s in Littleton Public School district which is the best! I definitely recommend Terra Vista to anyone looking for a new apartment.

Lily M. Is 100% correct in everything she said. For the price you pay to live there, it isn’t worth it.

Contrary to the more than visual descriptions that other tenants have provided, I have had an extremely successful experience with the staff of Terra Vista At the Park. They have (Jill especially) been extremely friendly and more than willing to work with me toward the best possible living situation available. Work tasks are completed on time, snowy walk ways are taken care of immediately.
However, rec hours are too short and allow those of us with full time jobs, not enough time to work out. The hot tub and gym are all indoors and maintained by video cameras, so hours should be extended to 24 hour use, which would be ideal for the type of tenant who works odd ours.
Pet messes are a huge concern, even with the collection of the costs for pets, nothing is done with this money. I walk by piles of animal excrement every day to and from my car. it is disgusting.
