Canadians make better Mexican food. Nothing tastes as bad as in difference… My husband has nachos(chips onions tomatoes and melted cheese— no lettuce meat sour cream or salsa). My taco salad looked like sour cream and guac topped Alpo(barley warm beans and grayish ground beef). We won’t be back.

Ah-mazing, chorizo burrito! The smothered burrito was amazing and spicy. The chips and salsa was also delicious.

Food was decent but I ordered the two chimichangas and when I got home(after walking) I had only received one. Not to mention half the beans were out of the box from someone not securing the box and/or tipping it. Was a great surprise.

Just not that good. Very pedestrian Mexican food. Beans were horrible, you get better out of a can. Watery and bland. REst of the food just so-so. Boring and bland. With all of the Mexican restaurants in Denver, you don’t need to waste your money on this one.

Truly a gem. Definitely my favorite Westside taqueria. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The large selection of tasty salsas is a major plus. Definitely consider this spot if you seek an unassuming yet quality dining experience.

Went here by recommendation of our Über driver, but it was very disappointing. My husband and I both ordered the Combination plate A, which came with a cheese enchilada, smothered bean burrito, beef taco, and rice and beans. We asked to substitute the beef taco with another cheese enchilada because we’re both vegetarians. The waitress repeated it back and seemed to understand. When we got our food, one of the enchiladas was beef and the other was cheese, although it could hardly qualify as cheese since there was basically none inside. I am 98% sure the enchilada sauce came out of a can. It was bland, and had a very metallic aftertaste. It tasted exactly like a canned enchilada sauce I bought once and hated. The burrito was smothered in a very spicy sauce, so although it was decent(nothing special), the menu did not indicate it was spicy at all and I would have liked to know beforehand. My husband doesn’t handle spice well, so he didn’t end up eating more than two bites. Overall: good prices(pretty much standard for most Mexican places, our plates were $ 8), friendly service, it was clean, but we’re going to continue our search for the best Mexican restaurant in Denver.

Old time authentic Mexican food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Chips are fresh and salsa has just the right amount of heat. I will be back soon!

This has become my wife and I’s Friday night favorite. We’ve never had a bad meal. The chile’ Relleno burrito is awesome and at $ 4.95 you can’t go wrong.

Holy yum! To-go order is always correct. Lots of food for the price and the wait is not bad. Two things though, they need a bar — I would so have a drink while waiting and they need a full to-go/takeout menu printed up for those who would rather call ahead since they don’t have a website.

This restaurant is ok. The food was good but the building was cold. It was a cold night but it felt like there was no heater on. The food filled me and I would eat it again. The floor was sticky but I assume it was because it was made of carpet. There was modern televisions which helped with décor.

Pretty solid. Delicious, spicy salsa & sauces, fast service… they do charge 50¢ for extra sour cream so if you’re slightly wussy with spice(like me) just be aware. I’m a big fan of their refried beans. Haven’t tried the margs but they looked very tempting tonight… perhaps I was just looking to drink away the memory of the Broncos loss… If you’re indecisive they have a three enchilada plate with cheese, chicken, and beef. I wish more places offered this option. My man’s a fan of their Mexican hamburger or the smothered burritos.

The food was okay. I got the barbacoa tacos plate which comes with 4 small tacos, lettuce, a tomato slice, lime, chopped jalapeños and a side of refried beans for $ 9.95. I left full. I did not prefer the dryness of the tortilla. The meat was a little over done. They have EXCELLENT chips and salsa which comes for free. Also have a full bar(can’t sit at bar but can order from a wide range of liquors) I would eat here again but would not go out of my way.(I also came at a slow time on a Wednesday at 1:30 pm) Service was fine

Taqueria Mexico… we eat Mexican a lot can you tell?! This place is a nice little gem on West Colfax and though I usually only stop to eat here during football season as it is conveniently located to Mile High Stadium(I am a bit old school with certain things and will not call it anything but Mile High ;-)) I would definitely recommend the restaurant for just about any type of Mexican food craving you may have. The menu is overwhelming as they must have about 200 items to choose from but though I’ve tried just a handful of their offerings everything I’ve had is delicious. I would definitely have to say the salsa is pretty fantastic and has just the right amount of kick… and depending on when you go, their green chili can be pretty hot as well, but not in a miserable way… it definitely adds and does not detract from the dish in which it is served. Low prices and friendly staff, this place can not be beat for your Mexican food cravings.

I enjoy the food every time I come. The prices are reasonable. Our server yesterday sucked but usually they are attentive. The chile used for the green chile plate is different than the green chile used to smother burritos and other dishes. I suggest you ask for the chile used in the green chile plate.

I am torn about this establishment. When we arrived there are a few of Hispanic Families dining in here. That recent visit was on Saturday January 11th2014. Time was about 15:10 hrs ish. The lady who greeted us was friendly and she said, we can seat anywhere we want to. We opt to seat all the way, near to the Kitchen area ish. Once seated, she gave us the Menu, the Chips and Salsa. From one of the Paper Menu, their Great Specials starts at $ 4.99. The Beef and Bean Burrito is $ 1.75. The Lunch Specials is at $ 5.95. The options were Beef Enchiladas, Chicken Flautas, Tacos Al Pastor OR Red Chile Plate. Lunch Specials is from 11:30am till 2pm. While the Dinner Specials is from 5pm to 7pm, with options of Tacos Al Pastor or Chicken Fajitas that starts at $ 7.95 each and 8oz Rib-Eye Strip Steak which starts at $ 8.95. Happy Hour runs from 3pm to 6pm. Hubs opt for Coffee and I opt for water as part of beverages. Throughout our Late Lunch here, Hubs had several Coffee refills. I have some questions with regards to the Taco Order, and our lovely waitstaff answered«YES» that they can accommodate to my request. SCORE! From the Menu we opt to have : * Beef Asada Smothered Burrito * 4 Beef Asada Tacos Plate * 1 Barbacoa, 1 Beef Asada, 1 Lengua and another Taco which I forgot then name Plate.($ 10++) The service was accommodating, friendly and efficient. I like one of the«Spicy» Beef Taco, The Best, next was the Barbacoa, followed by the Beef Asada and the least favorite was Lengua. Shredded Lettuce, One Lime Wedge and A Slice of Tomatoes was on the side of my Taco Plate. Each Tacos comes only with 1 Tortilla. Raw Diced Onions, Jalapenos and Cilantro was given on a separate little plate. All orders comes with a Re-fried Beans, in which I don’t fancy Beans at all, so I give my order to Hubs. As for Hubs he is not really digging of what this establishment had to offer. First and foremost, NOW I know that Hubs PREFER his order of Smothered Burrito to come with Rice, Beans and the Meat. but for this establishment it comes ONLY with the Beef Asada and Beans in the Smothered Burrito. The Beef Asada Smothered Burritos comes with Shredded Lettuce and very little Tomatoes Dices. He said its like«Meh» to Semi-OK. As for his order of Beef Asada Tacos, he expect that the Onions, Jalapenos and Cilantro to be put on top of the Tacos but for this Late Lunch it Was NOT. From my observation this is the first time I see huge silvered of Jalapenos Slices on a Beef Asada Taco Plate. All in all its ok dining here. I like the service given to us especially from that Lovely Lady who was accommodating enough to allow me, to have 4 different types of Meats in my Taco Plate. While I was there, I did use the Ladies Washroom that was kept clean, but they ran out of Paper Towel. However, Hubs said the Mens Washroom was too tiny for his comfort and it was not that clean. Left the establishment at almost 16:30hrs ish. Our Late Lunch was $ 35 with tips and tax. Taqueria Mexico 3800 W. Colfax Avenue Denver, CO80204 Tel:(303)-595−0085 @13/2014

We’ve been here twice now, and the food is really tasty. Over the course of our visits, we’ve tried a few combo plates and some tacos al pastor. Everything was delicious and piping hot when it arrived. I feel like you can tell a lot about a mexican restaurant by their enchiladas, and I really liked both kinds I tried(cheese and chicken). The red sauce is excellent, and the green chili is quite good as well. The prices are excellent as well. You can get a damn good plate of food for well under $ 10. They also have some really good lunch specials. Check it out! We’ll definintely be back.

As Mexican places go this one was just all right. The service was fantastic(I think my drink never went more than half empty) and the atmosphere was nice(there was mariachi playing on a radio). The food itself was just okay. I had a combo plate with a taco/burrito/enchilada. The red sauce was great and had a nice heat to it, but the beef in the taco and burrito was kind of flavorless. I found myself dipping them both in the red sauce. I’ll definitely be coming back and giving them another shot, but think I’ll try something else!
