I was lucky enough to score VIP tickets to this event and I am so thankful. It seems as though this year’s festival was much larger in size than last year. There were many different booths set up selling everything from hula hoops to jewelry to hats and clothing as well as a booth for Denver Human Services foster care program. There were many areas for children to run around and play as well as bounce houses and even a little big wheel track. There were two stages set up with music alternating between the two and plenty of room in the park to lay your blanket down and enjoy the day. There were also many vendors selling food as well as not so much a beer garden but an alcohol garden. My only complaint was not being able to bring my libations outside of the gated area. Now on to the VIP area… in here there was shade, chairs, tables and two port-a-potties. Also, a bar. Let’s not forget to mention the bar. :-) The bar was serving Lucky-U IPA and Agave Wheat from Breckenridge Brewery as well as Eddy’s Sweet Tea Vodka and regular vodka mixed with your choice of lemonade, cranberry juice, ginger beer, other various mixers. The food table was amazing as well. It seemed as though every hour or so a new vendor would come by and drop off food. We tasted NY Pizza Pub pizza, Happy Cakes mini cupcakes(delicous!), Garbanzo’s pita and hummus, Pig and Block sausages(best sausage EVA!), Seafood Landing’s smoked whitefish, grilled shrimp w/Bruce’s famous cocktail sauce(Bruce should really sell this outside of Seafood Landing), Paxia, and more. The more I can’t describe b/c I was so full from everything else. Also, upon arriving inside the VIP area, we were given a schwag bag full of little interesting trinkets. Thank you Unilocal for the VIP tickets and thank you to Sunnyside Music Festival for making my Saturday a great day!

Lots of music. Good music. Very mellow atmosphere. 10 years old for numerous reasons. Today was perfect weather and everyone was having a good time.
