Ahhh, my favorite spot! I’ve tried the popsters, biscotti, cupcakes, blondies and more. They posted the most beautiful flower cupcakes on their Instagram for Mother’s Day. I obsessed over them for several days before calling and ordering half a dozen for myself for my birthday. I went with chocolate hazelnut, and they came out perfect! Their staff is always incredibly helpful, and their treats never disappoint. I’m a lifer.

Great little café to just hang out. I got some iced chai for the warm spring day, and a turkey bacon burrito!

Cozy coffee shop and bakery tucked away off Broadway and 3rd in Baker Commons. I had s perfect pairing of a lemon bar and latte. Lots of unique baked options for anyone with a sweet tooth. Adult pop tarts a plenty!

After hearing great things about sugar bakeshop I was excited to give it a try! Going there with a group of people was key so that I could taste a few of their delicious treats! Our group shared a pineapple shortbread bar, a pb&j poptart, and a Samoa brownie. The brownie surprised me the most by how fudgy the brownie part was! The top layer of coconut and caramel was perfect, but I think I wold have preferred for the bottom to be a little less dense. The pineapple shortbread was great and perfect for sharing! Our groups favorite turned out to be the peanut butter and jelly pop-tart! Not only was it adorable, but it was SO yummy! The pastry dough was perfectly flaky and the filling was awesome!

Items Selected: Chocolatey Salted Caramel and Pretzel Cupcake Cream Cheese Red Velvet Square Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffin Monster Cookie — Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, M&Ms Black n’ White Chip Cookie Nutter Butter Located within a small shopping complex, parking tucked away in back, Sugar Bakeshop figured into Sunday morning plans before meeting friends for brunch later, the cutesy décor and freshly baked goods offering plenty of impetus to stick around lstening to Silversun Pickups while perusing E-mail via free WiFi. Owned and operated by a baking team that hardly seems old enough to drink, three young ladies working the register, boxing up items and mixing dough, respectively, it was with three parties already present that the café was entered and with guys from the local fire department sitting and enjoying breakfast burritos as others sipped a six-part order was constructed, a «some for now, some for later» plan eventually giving way to tasting everything in-house with only a few halves or quarters making way to the car. Not fooling for French or European, the goods offered clearly sourced straight from American Classics, tasting began with a lightly warmed Muffin seemingly made of at least 25% peanut butter with a substantial studding of chocolate chips, the lightly melting pockets of cocoa adding as much to the creamy texture as they did to the rich flavor. No less rich, and perhaps even moreso, bites taken of the red velvet brownie quickly followed the muffin and with cream cheese adding a tangy topnote the cupcake unfortunately took a far more bold approach by offering only a light drizzle of salty Caramel and crushed Pretzels, the dark ganache and moist cake perhaps better suited to those also enjoying a glass of milk… or at least a cup of coffee. Rounding out the tasting with three cookies, two fresh from the oven while the nutter-butter solved Devil’s Food’s conundrum of dryness by adding a creamy layer between two buttery biscuits, those looking for something truly decadent are encouraged to invest in the complex Monster Cookie while chocolate lovers may wish to consider the atypical«Black and White» with a soft-set cocoa cookie besieged in mellow white chocolate chips.

I stopped at the Sugar Bakeshop with some friends in between two breweries. We didn’t grab any drinks, but instead raided their cabinet of baked goods from heaven. I got a smores cookie, which I recommend if you ever have the chance. It was the perfect combination of chocolate, marshmallow and cookie with a little graham cracker flavor. One of my friends got the chocolate cupcake with strawberry. The icing was a strawberry crème, but the inside of the cupcake was filled with a smooth strawberry pure. I’ll definitely be back again to try some more of their treats.

We came here for some pie. We didn’t get any pie, but we did get a few delicious desserts! We got the blueberry pop tarts, lemon pastry, s’mores cookie, and the nutter better. I loved the pop tart. it tasted like a pie(crust) with blueberry filling inside. One thing i was excited about was that they had a lot of gluten free/paleo options! I didn’t get to try any(the company i was with shy away from anything with ‘gluten free’, ‘paleo’, ‘could be potentially semi healthy’), but i love any bakery that has those options and those options look just as good as the normal options.

I went to try the cinnamon roll, which I would not recommend. I doesn’t have any cinnamon flavor at all, and was dry and yeasty. However the pop tarts were a nice surprise. The counter staff seemed busy and impatient. Although it appears to be a neat little bakery on Broadway, with some pretty good stuff, I probably won’t make the trip back.

We ordered a Gluten-Free, Vegan Pumpkin pie from here for Christmas and it was glorious. I was glad I could actually eat a dessert. Very good place if you have food allergies.

Sugar bakeshop is a great little shop in the Baker neighborhood. All baked goods are made daily and some are even exported to local restaurants to be out on their menus. Homemade pop tarts seem popular as well as an assortment of paleo and gluten free options. Hand pies are homemade by a local cook only known by his first name but don’t seem to last long. Seating could be a bit more comfy, but wifi is good, music not too loud, shop quiet overall, and drink selection vast. Iced drinks seem a bit expensive.

I popped in while waiting for my car across the street… What a sweet little spot! One of those coffee shops you walk in and part of the charm is the fun and whimsical décor — chalkboard lettering, customer notes walk, and funky chairs and accents. But it’s not all about the ambiance… delicious breakfast burrito and a great vanilla latte hit the spot. They really pack those burritos full — yum. Friendly quick service too. And for the Denver paleo crossfit crowd… They have paleo sweets and treats :) I’ll be back anytime I’m down in this area…

There are few places in Denver that I would go to on a daily basis, and if I could afford it(money and calorie wise!), Sugar Bakeshop would be one of those places. Popping in here on my way to work for a coffee and a treat is a fabulous start to the day. It starts with the staff: a few other reviews have mentioned cashiers with attitude and an air of unfriendliness. I couldn’t disagree more. Sure, a few times, I’ve had to wait for the barista to finish someone else’s order right in front of me… or they are working on baking their yummy treats early in the morning when I swing by. But I always receive what I ordered, exactly as requested, in a fairly prompt manner. My thoughts: if you’re going local, you can understand a little wait time every now and then. And Sugar hardly ever makes me wait. The coffee is nothing spectacular. Sure, I can get a hot/iced almond milk latte(and they won’t burn the milk while steaming…), a drip coffee, or an Americano and be pleased. But the real winners are the pastries. My personal favorites are the paleo muffins. They make a few varieties – I dig the version with blueberries but there was another carrot/nut version a while back. Both are serendipitous. The gluten free coffee cake melts in your mouth, in a good way. And when I really want to splurge, I grab some cinnamon rolls and popstars(as mentioned in other reviews, their version of a pop tart). All have been incredibly popular when I bring them to work in the mornings. Sugar, you have my love and affection.

This has to be the cutest bakery in Denver. I called yesterday in a panic looking for a strawberry rhubarb pie. I called 7 grocery stores looking for Rhubarb and no one carries it. I looked on Unilocal and Sugar Bakeshop came up. I called right away and it was close to closing time. I spoke with Karen and she was so sweet. She went above and beyond to help me. She said they would be able to make me my pie for the next day. I was so thankful. As I walked into the shop they said hello right away. I also bought a slice of banana bread, s’mores cookie and an ice coffee(which right after I took a sip I said Ohhhhhh) its the best coffee I’ve ever had. My pie looks beautiful and I can’t wait to serve it tonight at my dinner party! Thank you Karen for the great customer service. I will be back and refer my friends!

This is such a delightful little spot. I was made aware of this place by a local food blogger showing their delicious gluten free treats. This is exactly why I came here. I am always on the quest for GF baked goods. I’ve been here a few times, each time they have a small selection of baked goods, and usually 3 things are gluten free or paleo. The GF items I have had here are chocolate chip cookie, coffee cake and a muffin. They were awesome. Their lattes and coffee are also great. Plenty of seating inside and out. Will be back.

I had heard about Sugar Bakeshop from a local Blogger and was excited to hear they make their own Paleo goodies! Did a stop in on a Friday morning after leaving the car wash and picked up a Paleo blueberry almond muffin. Can you say delicioso? Wow, so moist, not too sweet and just the right amount of blueberries. Heaven in a bag. I gobbled this delight in my car and didn’t think twice, well maybe once, about eating the whole thing myself. I will re-review after I go back another time as they only had one Paleo treat available when I stopped in. They may just get another star…

Cute little SoBo bakery! I tried one blueberry and one cinnamon«poptart.» The blueberry was really good but I thought the cinnamon was too sweet. The staff are friendly and you can see the baking process as it happens. They have a handful of tables inside and a few outside as well. I’m knocking them one star for their prices. I ordered two medium coffees, one black and one with a flavor shot, and two«poptarts» and the total was nearly $ 15. I like supporting small, local shops like this but think you often pay more for it.

This is possibly my favorite bakery in Colorado. My sorority has used them for years to fulfill large quantities for numerous occasions and they have always given me a great deal and the cupcakes are always a huge hit. The cupcakes here are always fresh and delicious. My personal favorites are definitely the blush cupcake, they add real strawberries to the mix and you can actually taste them! My other favorite is easily the red velvet cupcake, the frosting on these is so perfect. They also have tons of other tasty treats like their homemade pop tarts, I definitely recommend the raspberry(it’s heavenly). I’ve also had a breakfast burritos on numerous occasions, they are quick and filling. Don’t skip out on the cupcakes here though, they truly are some of the best I’ve ever had.

If there is one quality this bakery and coffee shop possesses, it’s politeness and originality; however, there is an abundance of other redeeming qualities that make this little bakeshop on Broadway one of my faves. They have such unique baked creations, like their version of the pop-tart(you remember those, right? I mean how could you forget them?), but they call it the Popstar. Get this — it’s not only their homemade version of the baked breakfast pastry, but they actually make their own cherry filling. Although, I seem to have poor taste in breakfast goods and the Sugar Bakeshop is very bold, brave, and creative — I just wasn’t digging the filling. The icing, the dough, the sprinkles, and everything else about the popstar was divine. They are so cutely adorned with colored sprinkles, it looks as if you’ve had fun with a five year old in your kitchen. They also offer savory, gluten free, and paleo options, too! Though I didn’t have the opportunity to try one of the very delicious-looking paleo blueberry muffins, they looked buoyant and tasty. I did, however, enjoy a homemade empanada with swiss and chard. It was a pocket of potent flavors of which I inhaled in 2 seconds. Plus, the interior is cozy and the wifi is free. There’s really not much to like about this spot.
