I WAS A FAN If I could give zero storages today I would! My favorite plane each time I’ve come through DIA but doubt I’ll come back ever Bread was not good, meat and veggies(peppers and onions) + cheese NOT hot and poorly grilled. Got the Diet Coke right… Quiznos is better than this place now. Employees aren’t even pleasant. Not sure who’s minding the store or quality. Disappointed.

When the airport first opened, this was my favorite eatery. Lately though it is staffed by people who don’t understand English well enough to carry on a simple conversation with their customers. The only English they understand is what’s on the menu. If you need to ask a question, or special order something, they haven’t a clue. Additionally, the quality has gone down significantly. The bread is always under cooked, the meat is full of gristle, and there’s not enough of it to fill the sandwich. I understand that chick-fil-a is going to replace steak escape and though I hate chick-fil-a, it can’t happen soon enough. Steak escape is a business That clearly nobody cares about any longer and as such, should go away. Bad service, bad food, buh — bye.

Food is okay, nothing out of the ordinary but they do charge for everything even for a side of banana peppers! Can’t expect any less from the airport.

This is the most disgusting Steak Escape. The bread is chewy and undercooked. The grill was very dirty and not being wiped between sandwiches. The portions of meat in relation to the bread is about 15%. Don’t waste your money on a disgusting meal.

Do not eat here! I got the Ragin Cajun Chicken. Good meat but there was so little of it, I was basically eating a cheese and bread sandwich. Then their fountain machine broke so I ended up drinking a warm Pepsi instead of a cold unsweet iced tea.

Bought a philly steak sandwich and fries to eat and the combo cost $ 12.41. Staff was decent and food was hot. Nothing super special but it’s airport food.

Just ordered some fries to eat before our flight. These are the natural-cut fries with the skins on. They were ready quick and were definitely hot out of the fryer. They were good, but they didn’t taste salted. Would’ve been even better with some salt.

I’m giving two stars for the friendly people working here. The cheesesteak was abysmal. Tasteless meat, doughy bread, and the sandwich was watery! I can only assume that was because they actually sprayed the meat and cheese with water while it was on the grill. I will not be back. Neither here, nor any of their other locations.

What happened to this place? I travel a lot for work and try to book a layover at DIA to break up the east/west trips and grab a quick sandwich at Steak Escape. I was there yesterday and wow, has it ever gotten bad! None of the staff spoke English, the menu board was literally falling apart, the sandwich selection has been reduced to a few basic sandwiches, the fries were cold and the sandwich had hardly any meat or cheese in it, not to mention being flavorless. I wish I was exaggerating but I literally had to choke it down with water since it was like eating a dry loaf of bread. Needless to say, I won’t be back, way to ruin a pretty decent thing.

12 inches of bun, 6 inches of meat. Simply falls short of other options in the airport. Food and fries are decent, but they are cheap. Will only give you two to three napkins and ketchup packets per order.

Should have checked reviews… I’d say it was awful, but that would indicate that the food had any taste at all. The fries were edible, but fries are pretty difficult to botch. 7″ Philly may have had 3oz of meat on it and was absolutely flavorless aside from the spicy mustard I added. Would give less than one star if possible.

Friendly staff, below average food, and pricey would sum this place up. Concourse B didn’t have much to choose from so this was what I went with and well… I have made better decisions in my life. Look elsewhere unless you’re craving something mediocre.

Steak Escape is not as good as a remembered. Lots of bun and very little steak. I wouldn’t mind a smaller roll so there’s a better/steak to bun ratio. The food choices at DEN are definitely are sub par compared to other airport. Maybe this only applies to the United Airlines concourse.

Worst of the worst here at DIA. For the price I would think that it at least taste half way decent.

Ripoff. For as much as they charge, they really short you on fries and the philly is pathetic. Couldn’t get the order right as well.

Geeeeez! I’m stuck at the Denver International Airport! The plane is broken, and it is currently being repaired. Thanks United Airlines for always being NOT on time! Upon walking around, I find this little sandwich shop called — the«Steak Escape»…kind of a catchy name. When I walked up to the place, I noticed they mostly sold sub sandwiches, & wraps. I saw a Philly Cheese Steak, a Chicken Cheese Philly type sandwich, & a Turkey Cheese Philly type sandwich. The turkey sandwich sounded pretty good to me, after all the steaks I had eaten this past week in Watertown, WI.,. some kind of chicken or turkey was sounding good to me. To top it off, last night’s meal mostly consisted of Alligator, a few chicken wings, & lots of beer… so I wasn’t feeling the beef today. What can I say about the grub… expensive(but that was expected for airport food?). As I bit into the sandwich I thought to myself…“where’s the turkey?” I mostly saw lettuces & tomato, there was some melted Swiss cheese and a little mushroom, but definitely I did not see too much turkey meat. Hummmmm must be the«Diet» turkey sandwich! Oh well, I gotta reduce my food intake when I get home anyways, as I had eaten way more than I normally do while I was away on the road.

1 star is for service, food is decent, but expensive and to add insult they charge for extra condiments and get my order wrong almost every time I go in. I work at the airport, so usually eat here quite often, but no more due to today’s experience, which I’m not happy about because DEN doesn’t have very many good food options

Got a Philly Cheesesteak here on a 2-hour layover on the way home. Had I reviewed this place two months ago when I went, I’d have given it a solid 3 stars. But now that I’ve experienced much better(and more authentic) cheesesteaks, it’s hard to give it more than 2 stars. The meat wasn’t fresh and there wasn’t enough sauce to compensate. Nothing to come back for = 2 stars in my book.

2 words: Surprisingly good. Terminal B of Denver International Airport is nicely done on the inside, but the food selection is a bit lacking. I saw a lineup at this ghetto-steak joint and decided to check it out after seeing a lineup. I ordered a 12″ Wild West BBQ cheese steak.(7″ for $ 6.11, 12″ for 7.99). It was definitely ghetto. The cheese steak came wrapped in a blank sheet of paper that looks like something you’d find inside a photocopy shop. Oh well, saving ink is good. They had some other interesting sides such as a $ 6 stuffed potato, but I really didn’t feel like killing myself today. The sandwich also looked super-ghetto. The bun looked like something that came out of a perfectly cylindrical mold, and also looked pasty and undercooked. There were bits of cheddar everywhere too. Then I bit into it. Wow, they did this one right. Most other places make ‘em saturated with oil, such that your hands and the wrapper both get soaked. This is not the case at all. The steak was sauteed just right, mixed in with onions. Seating is plentiful, since you are in a food court after all. It was a bit pricey(what airport food isn’t), but I definitely left happy.

This Steak Escape is located on the B Concourse Center Core of Denver International Airport — right in between a Domino’s Pizza and a TCBY. Ordered a 7″ Steak & Cheese sub with french fries. The sub comes with fried onions and mushrooms. By itself, the sub would rate as 3 stars. But the fries were so damn good that I have to give an overall rating of four stars!
