In general, I love Spicy Pickle. Not this location though. It is dark, scary, and smelled like something has died and been burned when I walked in. The food was OK, but not enough to make up for the creepy atmosphere.

Came in today for the 1st time and had the wiseguy. You can’t beat the food at this price. The bread was fresh, the sandwich was well prepared, and the pickle was good and spicy. If you are in the area and need a quick inexpensive place to grab a decent quick lunch. Stop here.

The menu has a lot to offer, so it was hard to make a decision. I guess that means I’ll have to go back again. I have to say the name of a place generally draws me in so since I enjoy spicy pickles I could not resist.

I love spicy pickle. There are tons of things on the menu that I want to try but every time I go I’m drawn to the Turkey sandwich with goat cheese and roasted red peppers paired with a greek salad. Fantastic.

There is one thing that the Spicy Pickle has that I really, really enjoy: corn relish. And pretty much every time I’m here I’ll get the Adobe panini which is made with roasted turkey, fresh mozzarella, chipotle mayo, green peppers and corn relish, and grilled on rosemary foccacia. Yeah, it’s pretty dang tasty. Generally the folks at this particular location are really friendly, but the location doesn’t really make me want to stick around and eat there(it’s kind of dark and a little dingy) so I often will just get my sandwich to go. But, if you are looking for a fast, warm sandwich experience this one is pretty good I have to say. And as a bonus they also do breakfast sandwiches.

I have been to a couple different spicy pickles and it is usually very good. However, I went to this one(10th and Lincoln) and not only did I have to wait 25 minutes for my order(when I was the second person in the restaurant), but when I opened my salad, half the spinach was wilted to the point of being completely inedible. It seemed like the two boys who were working by themselves had no idea what they were doing and no regard for serving fresh food.

I don’t care for the tomato spread crap they put on everything. Not really for me.

I have yet to visit a 5 star sandwich shop in Denver, but this place has always done me right! I put Spicy Pickle and DeliZone in the same catagory. They always provide me with fast friendly service and a great meal when I’m on the go.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Spicy Pickle. I was meeting a friend for a picnic in the park and I wanted a yummy sandwich and thought I go back to Spicy Pickle. I always get the gobler and wanted to try something else. I went with the Roma, which is your basic mozzerella and tomatoe with basil mayo. This is a classic sandwich that I would think would be difficult to do poorly, but that is exaclty what I got. I was not impressed at all as it had zero flavor. If I return to Spicy Pickle, I guess I’ll just have to stick to my norm. My gut is telling me there is a reason I haven’t been here for a while and think that will continue. I really want to like and rave about Spicy Pickle, but fear it has fallen off since they opened their doors.

I thought that I liked the Spicy Pickle. That’s how I remembered it. Until I wandered in for the first time in years in search of a sandwich and got something yukky. The young woman working was very nice. She was working a double, alone, but was still upbeat and friendly. Kudos to her. Unfortunately the bread upon which my sandwich was built was like eating 3 day old, stale cardboard. The rest of the ingredients were fine, but without the bread, it’s like a cold-cut salad, and not at all a sandwich. I ended up throwing away the bread and eating a cold-cut salad. Not at all the awesome sandwich experience I was hoping for. I was filled with unfulfilled sandwich dream sadness. Hopefully I just caught them on a fluke, but I won’t be trying again to see if that’s true. There’s too many consistent sandwich joints to spend my time and money with.

Still doesn’t float my boat like it used to(but at least this time my sandwich came with all the ingredients it was supposed to). It just seems to be missing something taste-wise, that it used to have. On a good note, the staff are really nice and quick to handle your order.

Feeling bummed out about my recent take out experience from the Spicy Pickle. It almost seems like this sandwich isn’t from the spicy pickle, unfortunately I could have gone to one of the many chain sandwich shops around town and gotten a higher quality sandwich for half the price. I ordered sausalito turkey with lettuce, onions, banana peppers, cheddar, and mayo on white. I received a sandwich on hard piece of bread that seemed to be going stale and they only managed to get the lettuce, banana peppers, and cheddar part right. The receipt attached to sandwich had all the ingredients correct so there was a massive fail on the part of the person actually assembling the sandwich.

Paninis are king at this hometown sandwich shop. As the name indicates, all sandwiches are served with a pickle that appears to be marinated in red pepper flakes. The Sausalito Bandito(with guacamole) is their signature offering, and many don’t venture beyond this once they’ve tried it. Despite rapid nationwide expansion over the last five years, the quality has remained consistent.

Wow, totally over priced sandwiches, and the owner started to scold me about toppings, something about old management giving too much way. I had never been there before so I had no idea what he was talking about, but I certain wasn’t coming bak.

Bad bread = 2 stars. All of the meats and cheeses slide out of the back of the sandwich after your first couple bites. If you’re in to shoveling mayo-laced slimy cold cuts into your mouth with your bare hands, go here. The paninis avoid this problem and are OK, but the ‘wich needs to be the staple with which a sandwich shop is based… not the ‘ninis. Walk across the street to Deli Zone instead.

Pretty damn good. I have to give a shout out to the Spicy Pickle. I havent lived in Denver for nearly three years. This was definitely one of my favorites. I was back there last week and had it twice because my girlfriend loved it. They have some great«assembled» paninis and sandwiches and then they also allow you to design your own. The bread is really good and the servings are huge. The Spicy Pickle is one of the best sandwich shops in Denver. Here is something you dont normally get with your everyday sandwich shop either. I asked the girl behind the counter if she knew of a gelato place in Cherry Creek. I knew one was there but didnt know where exactly. She said she didnt and asked one of the guys making sandwiches. He didnt know either. About 5 minutes later, the guy came out to our table with a map to the gelato shop that he printed from the internet. Thats service!

Perhaps they should rename it the Pickle, as i don’t get where the spice comes from, or perhaps it’s the altitude, or attitude, affecting my taste buds. I ordered the Spicy Pickle Tuna salad which apparently should have contained spicy chipotle mayonnaise and spicy pickle relish, well it didn’t. I got a good deal through it and realized there was something missing. I spoke to a counter guy about it, who told me he was the owner and it was his recipe and then turned his back on me. Well dude you need to check your taste buds, because there was no spicy or pickle in this tuna salad. As a straightforward tuna salad it did the job. — two star — make the attitude adjustment — one star

I am one big sucka for soup in a bread bowl. Especially on a cold day, when you get a soup that has some melted cheese in it, mmm… Not that we’ve had any cold days here lately, but I did check out the Spicy Pickle in the rain this spring. The pickle that comes with the sandwiches took me back to grade school cafeterias, where I got the big pickle for forty cents from the a la carte counter… then I would wrap it up in a paper towel and spend the rest of the day nibbling it during class. I had a pretty cool teacher. Yum. Haven’t tried the sandwiches yet, but it’s on my to-eat list. The soup was great, as was the fluffy and not-too-sour, not-too-sweet bread bowl it came in.

The Spicy Pickle is one of those places I used to scoff at: I mean, ok… maybe I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, or a chain by its not-so-catchy-name, but«spicy pickle»? innane ticket to fame. Until I sucked it up and actually went there. Damn son! Forget deli, its all about tasty paninis and soups that come in bread bowls. And yes, they have their trademark spicy pickle with each sandwich, which is. you know… a pickle. I suggest the Bastille with avocado added, and for extra goodness get the corn-chili soup as well. On a diet? Get half and half for same price. Score
