I went here on a Tuesday night with a group of 13 girls when I was home a few weeks back. They definitely did well with the large group, but this is a pretty small space so I would assume that that had a lot to do with the night of the week when we were there. I found the menu here to be a little disjointed – like it didn’t really know what kind of restaurant it wanted to be. There were small plates, pizzas, and entrees though which gave our group a decent amount to choose from. There was a pretty reasonably priced wine list and the staff was nice. Our waiter was cute and patient with our big group of girls who kept telling him(after a few glasses of wine) how attractive he was. Got to love anyone who can handle that kind of attention. While this is a really small thing, I have to say that the olive oil they brought out with the bread was really good – should have asked what they use. My friend and I split a mushroom pizza that was really tasty but very rich. My only complaint was that even thought the space is small and intimate it’s not particularly warm and felt a little dark or strangely lit. Perhaps not the main thing when you’re at a restaurant, but I remember it feeling pretty dark and gloomy in there.

Amazing. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this cute little place a while back. This place was nice because it was quiet, clean, and pleasant to hang out at for a couple of hours. We ordered quite a few items but my favorite was the lamb meatballs and the dried fig pizza. They have the cute little patio that I must try the next time I go. I think it would be a great date spot not just because of the atmosphere but because you can share so many dishes there.

What a great place! We ate off the tapas menu for dinner and everything was delicious. We ordered bacon wrapped dates, spanikopita, tomato mozzarella salad, greek salad, stuffed roma tomatoes and the steak gorgonzola salad. I loved everything. We ordered extra spanikopita – the pastry was so light and flaky and the filling very tasty. I can’t wait to go back to try some of the other items on the menu. Some things were a bit pricey, but you can pick and choose to make it more reasonable. I definitely recommend!

Another Restaurant Week Adventure! Great décor! Cozy and very dim. Tables are close together — don’t sit at the one farthest from the door — the server has to do the limbo to get you your food or invade the next table with her booty! But the bar looks fun and I hope to get to spend some time there in the future! The front area is nice and closed in for winter dining! Was pretty toasty when you we walked in! We chose to eat here on tuesday night. We went with the 5280 menu. The first plate was good — olives i could eat or not, almonds were ok, spinach puff pastry was yummy, the bacon wrapped date was tasty and the dolma was not bad either. Not something i would repeat but enjoyable. The salad i chose was a mozzarella and tomatoes — mmmmm! Hubby went with the prosciutto choice. He enjoyed it very much. For the main course i went with the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallop kabob — OMG — melt in your mouth yummy! Hubby had the steak medallion. He enjoyed it, but after having Vesta and all the sauces the night before, it just wasn’t fair to the steak! We were still a little hungry so we added a red pepper hummus in between. It was very tasty. Again not something i’d repeat, but very good. The cheese place was yummy and the crème brûlée had a fabulous crust and a gooey inside… Mmmm! We’d definitely think about returning to try the rest of the yummies on the menu!

Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding exactly as it should(Max Ehrman). We happened upon Soleil rather serendipitously, and I am glad we did. The atmosphere was as warm and colorful as the daisies on the wall. The menu offered creative variations on my favorites without being pretentious. I did not care for the frites, but otherwise the food, the setting, and the company were very enjoyable.

This is a great little place! The food is served in small portions, but each bite is so tasty! We had the spanikopita, kalamata olives, fig pizza, and red pepper hummus… all were delicious! We sat on the outdoor patio, which was cute and cozy. The service was friendly and overall the prices were very reasonable. I can’t wait to go again! It’s the perfect place for a first date or an outing with a fun friend… what a relaxing and tasty way to get to know someone better!

I can see this little place becoming one of my go-to hangouts. These small plates are ideal for sampling, there’s a wide variety of wines(although I embarrassed myself by ordering a mojito at a wine bar – my friend and I had plans to visit Café Brazil but earlier found out it’s closed for most of Jan. due to «vacation», so I had mojitos on the brain) and it’s comfy cozy with cute décor. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, which would have never occurred to me but are little bites of heaven on earth, and the azul fondue with chips(YUM!). Our main entrees were lamb(Erin, hi Erin!, said she wanted to take a bath in the sauce it was so delicious) and the shrimp and scallop kebabs — the shrimp was wrapped in panchetta and all drizzled in basil pesto olive oil. Our neighbors seemed to be enjoying all varieties of the wood fired pizzas. All in all, this place aims to please, and I plan to be back soon.

I honestly knew going in that«tapas» was Spanish for«incredibly tiny but tasty bites that are going to tease your tongue like that flirty girl in high school but in no way are you going to be fully satisfied by the experience.» Loose translation, I know. Those Spaniards are quite teasy! I suppose that wretched excess is the hallmark of American restaurant dining, but that’s what makes this country great! Therefore, when presented with delicate little plates of shrimp or bruschetta or empanadas, an American might be inclined to think(or say out loud), «Hey sweetheart, bring the rest of the order the next time you’re refilling my Coors Light.» When my husband said this, I thought I was going to die. I tried a paella(the lamb) and thought the rice was totally too chewy and the flavor a little bland. The kabob and skewer sampler was pretty good, although the meat was too well done for my taste. Nice wine selection, including decent ones by the glass. The décor and layout is very European, with a loft area above, a nice bar and patio seating as well. Service was friendly, although our server really had a case of the dropsies and had trouble hanging on to a couple of breakables. I was ready to knock back some ouzo and bust a few plates myself! So Soleil? So so.
