Schwan Food Company

I give two stars. This company is ok but good luck trying to cancel your service. I have sent 3 emails and I have called their service number 3 times asking to cancel. The last time they came AFTER I had cancelled twice by phone. The delivery driver rang pur doorbell at 8:30pm. We had just got home from the hospital with a newborn baby that week and she was just getting to sleep. I called again in the morning and requested a supervisor asking to cancel, take my name out of your database, don’t ever come to my house again or I will call the police. What do I get in my email today? «Your next delivery has been scheduled for January, 6^th 2016! I don’t know what you have to do to get them to stop harrassing you… move I guess.

As any hipster can attest, anything vintage is cool. Schwan’s began home delivery in the fifties. My grandmother used to order from them. So that means if I want to be retro-​cool I have to order food like my grandma and most importantly I have to do it before you. So… with that aspiration in mind I curl up in the Eames lounge chair once every other week, wield my Park 51 fountain pen and fill out my Schwan’s Home Delivery order sheet. Ahhh how awesome it is to be me.
… And I am just KIDDING.
In all seriousness Schwan’s is pretty good. Good quality for frozen.
Favorite thing is definitely the chopped steak. Grab yourself some of Jimmy John’s day old bread, some provolone (or some Cheez Whiz if you swing that way), and you got a nice little meal there.
Second favorite thing is the popcorn shrimp ’cause it is Po’ Boy time! Again grab yourself some of Jimmy John’s day old bread and put your shrimpies in there. Man that is good.
If you’re into frozen pizzas… and hey I go slumming every now and again… theirs are pretty champ.
TL;DR — You should try it.

Received my Schwan’s order. The steaks were GREAT! Upped them to 4 stars. I will definitely order from them again. What more could a person want, order online and have your food delivered to your door.
