I rarely give out FIVESTARS but this place is worthy of it. I frequent this place often. They have the best Mexican pastries in Town. I have tried all kinds in the Denver metro area. They have the traditional Mexican pastries and also have American type, like doughnuts and Banana Bread. You will not be disappointed making a stop here.

Love this place! This is my third time here and its been delicious so far. Its hard to reel it in and not buy 10 different things. Today was no exception. Everything is always fresh and different. Today I tried some kind of cheese cake or baked custard. It was eggy and creamy and dense and oh so good. Ive had the raspberry coconut roll 3 times now and it’s like a dream wrapped in a cloud in my mouth. I like that nothing is overly sweet and the textures are always just right. Did I mention the price? I only spent $ 3.40 for four large items. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place, drop $ 5 on some goodies and grab a jug of milk on the way home. You be happy you did.

One of the few things I miss about San Antonio. However, I try my best to stay away from this bakery because it is way too awesome and way to inexpensive(pastries as low as 4/$ 1). One of the few places where you can still buy baked goods at these prices and they are authentic baked goods. I love all of it which wasn’t much of an issue when I was a teen but is definitely a major issue now. The staff is friendly and allows me to practice my broken Spanish without making me feel like an idiot or, more importantly, like a disgrace(can you tell I have issues?). Te amo, Hojarascas!!!

Saturday January 26th2013VISIT Time: 13:20hrs ish What??? New Mexican Bakery in town… Err, I think its more like Sweet Pastry Goodness calling my name. So since we are in the neighborhood, I decide to stop by at this Mexican Bakery. If I am not mistaken this bakery is located in the Brentwood Plaza Shopping Center. YES, its A BRANDNEW In Town Bakery. The space is kept clean and as when I entered this Bakery, ALL the Sweet Smelling, Goodness, Bakery Goods«swhished» my scensory, making my tummy rumbling and grumbling for more and more… Err, what to decide, what to choose? DECISIONs? DECISIONs? So many Mexican breads, cakes, cookies, pastries GALORE! Thankfully some of the pastries are labelled so I know what it was and which is which. But still I think I need all the MEXICAN Bakery Pastry catalogue or lingo ambedded in my brain… so I can remember what is what… Anyhoos, from my sweet tooth loot, the total cost of Mexican Bakery Pastry Goodness, cost me $ 5! SCORE!!! * Apple Empanada * Cherry/Strawberry«Log Things» Sugared Turnovers * Cherry/Strawberry«Danish» * Cream Cheese«Bear Paw» * BIG Sugar Donuts * 4 Pieces of Mexican Shortbread Cookies Each baked goods cost $ 0.80. The 4 Pieces of Mexican Shortbread Cookies is $ 1.00. So what’s the deal with 3 stars… well since Unilocal did not offer 3.5 stars as yet… *bummer*… 4STARS for Value. 4STARS for Service from the lovely hispanic ladies behind the counter. Coz at least when I ask them what is what, they are willing to converse. Furthermore, I do not speak Spanish. 3 STARs for taste. coz everything tasted the same. The pastry dough is not as flaky as I want it to be. Is this COMMON for all Mexican Bakery Goods in general? Portion of dough seems to be more than portion of fillings. Did not managed to get the upclose photograph shot of the Cherry/Strawberry«Log Things» Sugared Turnovers coz Hubs devoured it before I could. Nothing stellar as yet, though I wish someone could«steer» me to the right directions to what to expect from a Mexican Bakery. But I still crave for more and DEFINITELY many returns to this San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery & Juice Bar in the future when in the neighborhood. Thank you San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery & Juice Bar. @34/2013

While on the hunt for the perfect bread to make Pambazos(amazing torta-like sandwiches dipped in guajillo pepper sauce filled with potatoes/chorizo mixture, Mexican string cheese, crema, and shredded lettuce then fried like a grilled cheese sandwich), we stumbled upon the best new bakery in Denver! After trying all the other Mexican bakeries and markets over the years and not being fully satisfied, we’re always willing to try a new one. When we saw a steady stream of customers heading into San Antonio Fresh Bakery in a neighborhood with much competition, we had to check it out. To our surprise, not only did San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery have this specific bread, which is a special white bread that lacks crispy crust to hold the guajillo pepper sauce and not get too soggy, but they had an AMAZING array of freshly made breads, pastries, and other treats that blew away all the other bakeries in the Denver Metro area. The owner and his wife also shared their Pambazo sandwich tips and recipes(and other favorites) with us as well. The bakery is immaculate and it’s easy to see the owners take tremendous pride in making sure their customers get the freshest possible product. Our bread was pulled straight from the hot racks and the fresh baked smell of the pastries filled our car on the drive home(several didn’t make it all the way home). Amazing panaderia, bakery — quality, selection, price, friendly family owners, taste, and freshness make this our new GOTO Mexican bakery! Please check them out and be amazed like us. Cheers, Coolsville Colorado Blogger(as we quest for the best in Colorado)
