Rocky Mountain Aardvarks

Our son has been jamming with Janet since he was about one year old. He’s coming up on three years old now and he still loves going — singing, dancing, and playing miscellaneous instruments with a class full of other toddlers.
The class runs over «sessions» which are usually either 12 or 6 weeks long depending on the season. And Janet also offers a few different seasonal classes that are just one class at a time. You can buy a while series and go every week of the session or you can buy drop in classes if you’d prefer not to commit each week.
We have always bought the whole session and our tuition includes a CD from the Music for Aardvarks collection. I think we have like 9 of them now so there are quite a few out there and Ephraim likes all of them. As a grown-​up I don’t mind them since they aren’t traditional kids nursery rhymes/​songs and the style of music varies from song to song.
Janet is really lovely with the kids and the kids are all accompanied by a parent or guardian for the 45 minute class. Best of all, there are class locations all over Denver so you can find one fairly close to home. I’m happy that I came across Janet’s music class two years ago and I’m sure we’ll continue to see her once a week for the foreseeable future!

We’ve been taking our daughter to the drop in classes since she was 9 months old and have loved them! Now that’s she’s 2, she still loves them. We hired Miss Janet for her 2^nd bday party and the grown ups and kiddos all had a blast!

We introduced my daughter to RM Aardvark classes when she was 6 months old. She LOVES Janet and she loves to sing along… well, babble along. We bought her her own instruments for home and the classes really translate to her singing, dancing and shaking it at home. The classes are :45 minutes and the songs are fun. We leave the class and she sings all the way home.
You can also makeup classes within the same session and the website makes it easy to find and book makeup classes in case you miss one.
Highly recommended.

Our family loves these classes! The songs are great –very catchy and playful, and the teacher, Janet, is awesome. She’s down to earth, great with the kids, and (most importantly in a music teacher) has a beautiful voice! Our 21 month old daughter loved banging on the drums, shaking the different percussion instruments, strumming the guitar, and singing the songs. (She’s too shy to sing in the class, but we love singing them at home and in the car). Learning the songs has also stretched her vocabulary, which has been a fun perk. There’s also a sweet lullaby in each class… and sometimes, the song lyrics, and the beauty and authenticity of Janet’s voice while cuddling my little munchkin brings tears to my eyes.
