Best service ever — really. After multiple trips (and paint samples and dollars) to another paint store, where the color match was not even close (despite an actual chip of our stucco), Ponderosa matched our color exactly on the first trip. Then, they worked with us to review and make choices on trim and shutter colors, providing multiple samples that met our needs, just the right size and cost.
A really rare experience these days — to work with people who know their craft and really ask, what can we do to help you. They turned what was becoming a super annoying project into something we are now looking forward to completing — and were super pleasant to work with as well. THANKS!

First off I’ll start by saying I’m not a professional painter. So my experience here is based on my previous experiences with customer service more than anything else. I was tasked with purchasing a specific color of paint that, as far as I know, only Benjamin Moore carries… No issue there. The problem came from my desire to have a color and sheen matched from an actual sample cut out from the wall in a remodel project. I have done so many times before at Home Depot and the like with incredible results. Well it was just before close that I came in and made my request, so I knew I was pressing it with regard to time. When they brought out my two gallons of paint, I looked at the sample that I had brought in with the newly mixed paint that they applied to it. The color matched was good but the sheen was way off. It was much glossier than the original. Matt, the store manager, told me that it looked that way because it was freshly applied on top of the original paint and that they couldn’t do an exact match anyway. I was hesitant, but against my better judgement, I paid for and accepted it. When I got to the site, I realized that if I did use the new paint, I would have to have it applied to the entire area. I decided against using it and thought I’d be able to return it. Wrong! Matt told me that they wouldn’t accept returns on tinted paint. Lesson learned! I should have went across the street to Sherwin-​Williams after refusing to accept that gross miss-​match.

These guys are the best! So much better than Sherwin Williams (across the street). We ended buying paint from both while trying to figure out our bathroom remodel, both paint colors were totally not what we had seen online (our fault, looking online for paint is silly) but when we came back to Ponderosa they were super helpful. Customer service oriented! Said what color do you like, lets try tinting the paint and got it super close to what we wanted. Didn’t give us any attitude or grief, I can not say that about Sherwin Williams. I do not know the employees name, but we’ve been there three times since and he is always smiling and ready to help.

learned something interesting today — there are NO Benjamin Moore paint stores, as everyone is independently owned and operated, and is encouraged to place the Benjamin Moore branded signage on their business as a reseller. DO NOT GIVE ANY BUSINESS TO «Ponderosa Paint Center» at 5335 e colfax in Denver. Gary, the owner is unconcerned with his customers perception of their service. They lied to me about creating an account for my business, and were just putting my sales under random accounts. When I needed to re-​order a specific paint, they had no history of my purchases (thousands of dollars btw) and didn’t care at all that this frustrated me, nor did they see it as an issue. Please share so that this business learns that service counts.

I have always used Benjamin Moore paints and love them. I now live near the Colfax store, so went there for my paint. WOW! A small place, but customer service is tops. They mixed my paint, price was the best in town, and carried it out to my car. Nice little area to wait and have a coffee while they mix the paint. This place is the best.

Very good service and paint selection. It’s a little pricey but they will do a heck of a job paint matching and they have a really nice area for you to wait in.
