Today I had the chicken salad for lunch, it was fantastic! A really nice twist on a traditional Greek salad and enough for two, unless you are starving, which I was, and ate the whole thing!

Lousy microwaved food from lunch for dinner with rude service and an overall lack of attention to detail I don’t know where everyone gets their ratings from but this place is a one-​star at best. #neveragain

I love this place! The tyrokafteri (Spicy Feta Dip) is the best thing ever created. Everything is always so good and you will leave stuffed. But there is always room for a Ouzo shot at the end! This is hands down my favorite spot in the Wash Park neighborhood.

Traditional Greek food at it’s best. Our go to place anytime we head to Denver. The food is amazing and service is always excellent. Highly recommended.

Oh how we love a gyros plate at Central One! It makes my mouth water just to think of one!

Wow! Every time I come here the staff makes feel like family. Well maybe we come a lot haha. But either way this my family’s feel good spot to have great laughs and delicious food. Tzakis the manager has got to be the happiest man on earth just living the dream. Absolutely treats every guest as if they were in his own home. He’s always interacting with the customers making sure you have a truly authentic loud and talkative diner full of fun and great stories.
Food…well what there to say. I have not found a better Greek restaurant anywhere in Denver. To say that the food portions are average you would be sadly mistaken. First, apps. OOPA saginaki, my favorite. That always put the flame out over your head haha. Second, soup. Third, salad. Fourth, main dish piled high with whatever meats you chose. Fifth, dessert. Ummff!
Last but not least, if your lucky and Tzakis feels you have had a great time then comes the shots of hard lickerish after dinner shot. Wuffff

Zeus himself would be proud to eat here. It lives up to the hype! Everything we had made me cry it was so outstanding, then they gave us shots of ouzo! OPA!!!

So good! Truthfully, delicious. Great staff too! I highly recommend! I haven’t had Greek food often but I loved it! We shared two appetizers and one entrée and I was stuffed from 5 pm until I went to bed. Fantastic!

This is my all-​time favorite Greek/​Mediterranean restaurant in the U.S. and I’ve eaten this type of food all over the country. Can’t be beat. As good or better than some of things you’ll eat in Greece.

Such a nice place for authentic Greek food. Service is great and food is equally good. Entres come with soup and salad. Pita bread is homemade and fresh out of the oven. Filled with return customers that interact with owner and staff. The dinner was capped off with complimentary shots of ouzo. Opa!

Great Greek food, nice company. I came here with my family and ordered Gyros plate. The food was great, and plenty. I’ll come back here.

I hit this spot whenever I’m in south Denver. The God is some of the best authentic Greek around. Try the saganaki, the chicken lemon soup for sure!

Very disappointed on my last trip here (ever). My friend FOUND A FLY IN THE SALAD. We told the waitress and she really didn’t seem too shocked — every day occurrence perhaps? So gross… then she had the audacity to charge us for the salad. Last time, Pete!

i’ll admit — upon first glance, the prices seemed dauntingly steep. $ 16 for an entrée? for someone on a budget, per my mortgage-​sized rent (thanks, Wash Park), my night transformed from casual Saturday dinner to «GURL, TREAT YO SELF.»
and I did. and the food was superb — and the portions huge. our waitress couldn’t have been nicer, and the Greek house music radiating though the overhead speakers perfected the somewhat adorably dingy atmosphere.
oh, and talk up the owner. eventually he’ll come by with shot glasses and a bottle of Uzo, to make riding your bike home slightly more challenging a teensy bit illegal.
Worth it? ABSOLUTELY.

So just ate there the food was good, the menu needs some revision. Totally worth the price though. I’ll probably never go back though because the owner slapped my friend twice because we asked for a split check… A little awkward to say the least

This is one of the best kept secrets in Denver. The food is off the charts, Takis, the owner, is a friend to anyone that walks thru the door. It’s authentic, and totally awesome!!!

I ordered the moussaka here and thought it was a solid lunch option. It’s a very cozy space and our waitress was attentive!

I can’t say I’m a big fan of this place. There were a few standouts– the tzatziki sauce was excellent, some of the best I’ve had, the dolmas were well made and flavorful, and the pita bread was great. The rest of the meal was not very good. The spanakopita and vegetarian moussaka were bland, which is surprising considering the ingredients are quite rich. The meals are expensive, but the portions are big and they come with soup or salad. We sampled both on our visit, and I was not impressed with either. I wish the cost was cheaper, as I don’t feel any need to have the soup or salad again.
I would come back again for the dip sampler, but otherwise, I’ll likely stay away.

THIS is how you do dolmades people! They were so incredibly fresh with perfectly cooked rice and ground beef, wrapped lovingly in the grape leaves, and then finished with a lemon sauce. Seriously so good! Do not let other Greek places try to convince you that those perfect looking, soaked in oil, little nuggets that they serve is the same– it’s not!
I’m at the point where I feel like any «Greek» restaurant can pass off a decent gyro sandwich without much effort and call themself a Greek restaurant, but my standard will always be based on the dolmades (dolmathes) and this place is Greek to the core. I ordered the lunch platter of them and it came with choice of soup or salad– I decided to try their Greek salad and it was fresh with a nice, light dressing and good feta. My husband had the greek salad with gyros as his meal, and the meat was good. The pita served with the salad was decent though not the best I’ve had. My son enjoyed their pita pizza (from app menu), also with gyros. We also enjoyed sides of tyropita that was incredible! Perfect puff pastry with delicious cheese oozing out with each bite. Seriously it’s a toss up between whether the dolmades or tyropita was more craveable!
Cute little location inside an old house. Great service. Fresh food. And acceptably priced. I will definitely be back!
