While I WAS a fan of this Peet’s. It has been closed for almost 6 months.

Oh glorious day. I actually found a Peet’s in Denver of all places. It’s on the 16th St Mall and it’s right down the block from the Sheraton. I was able to get a large latte to keep me warm on my cold and snowy drive heading east. Perfect.

Firstly I worked here for a long, long while. I went in yesterday and ordered a girly drink. Sharffen Berger dark chocolate mocha. When I worked here people would order this and be all pissy when it wasn’t loaded with sugar and tasted like DARKCHOCOLATE. They must have sussed it up since then because when I had it yesterday it didn’t taste like dark chocolate OR coffee. It was a sad state of affairs. Service and atmosphere were grand as usual. I still love you Peet’s.

Tried out the dark chocolate mocha freddo yesterday. It was like a really yummy cold chocolate milk. I liked it but had hoped for more chocolately and rich coffee flavor in my drink. I wanted to collapse and convulse on the 16th street mall by all the chocolately goodness and caffeine flowing through my veins… but I did not. The place is nice inside, warm and welcoming. The kind of place i’d sit and try out another drink. I’ll be back.

You will be greeted, not acknowledged, but GREETED as you walk through the door. These people know, understand, and love coffee, and seem to really enjoy sharing their knowledge with you. I respectfully disagree with the previous poster who doesn’t think it’s a good place to buy beans. I am both a coffee drink and bean lover, and am thrilled with the freshness and quality of my Blend 101 and Decaf Mocca-Java beans. Do yourself a favor and get your drink in a real cup, pull up a chair, and enjoy the best people watching around. If Chelsea’s working, you’re in for a real treat — just ask her to make something wonderful and you’ll be in great shape.

I love Peets, but prefer buying beans for home brewing rather than the drinks. I was excited when I found a Peets a short walk from my offices at Republic Plaza. But sadly, for me, this location is really better for the latte/mocha crowd than for bean buyers. Inventory is sparse and not as fresh as the location in Boulder. Good spot for a coffee if you’re on the 16th Street Mall, but not a great spot for buying your coffee for home.

I love Peets! It’s a good location downtown near all of the shops, and the coffee is good. The service was good as well. I think the pastry selection was not as good as some peets that I’ve been to even on a sunday morning. That seems peculiar. It’s still a good place to stop for a cup of coffee.

When the Buck-meisters stopped carrying almond syrup they lost me. Everyone knows their joe is burnt. Everyone knows their powdered Frappucino mix is more toxic than Dioxin. But enough about why I walk the extra couple of blocks to hang out next to Earl’s on the Peet’s patio and watch the uhhhhh traffic, so to speak, go by. Actually, it’s their medium iced almond latté that rocks my size-mama-ter. Ummmm, ummmm, good. And the mixologists(don’t humor the other guys by using the«B» word) could not be more doggie friendly.

Pretty much on the 16th street mall, though the address posted here might throw you off from that. This is far better than Starbucks in terms of quality coffee, beans, and espresso beverages. Many varieties to choose from and they make fresh carafes of coffee regularly, and rotate the brewed coffee regularly(it’s not like Starbucks where it is the same coffee every single day).

When it comes to a chain coffee house Peet’s on Glenarm makes the smoothest americano, my regular drink.

Nice change of pace from Starbucks and Dazbog. I prefer this and Peaberry to fill my coffee needs. Luckily, it’s just down the alley from where I live(I don’t live IN the alley, but use it to get there…), so spur-of-the-moment coffee urges are easily satisfied. Awesome baristas. Great teas are available too!

this is my go-to am coffee spot. even tho i walk past 2 starbuck and a dazbog to get there. different flavors everyday, good discount if you bring your own cup. hardly ever a line, and separate serving areas for those ordering a regular coffee versus a foo-foo drink.

As far as coffee chains go I’ll take Peet’s over anything ending in «buck» any day because the coffee doesn’t have that just burnt flavor if you know what I mean. The baristas here are friendly and the wi-fi is free(for 2 hours only though) so you’d think this would be a place I could frequent. But, parking in this area is a witch with a «b» and seating is limited so I rarely go. Even when I’m riding my bike, which is most of the time, I usually don’t end up here because you can’t park a bike on the 16th street mall or they’ll give you a ticket and impound it. Seriously, people. It’s not cool to give bikes tickets.

I was excited when i heard there was a Peets downtown because I had always thought it was a strictly a bay area coffee shop. Rolling into Peets you get a more«big city» coffee shop feel rather than a granola mellow vibe but what do you expect for it being on the mall. The coffee was decent but nothing special, it seemed like I could make a better cup at home with their beans, but the people were very happy and nice and that makes up for alot atleast while your still in the store.

I love coffee shops… maybe it is in my intelligentsia nature. So as I strolled down 16th street in the pouring rain, I thought I would give this Berkeley native a try. Unfortunately, Peet’s didn’t turn out so well… So we get the Chai… and damn… I have never tasted a weaker, watered down cup of Joe(well, maybe not Joe necessarily, but…). And for coffee shops, Peet’s is on the upper end, even compared to Starbucks. So: weak ass tea and coffee… even though better selection than most. They did have some free samples, which was cool. Still, go somewhere else.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I really like this place. I think I like it mostly because of the people that work there. They are very knowledgeable about all the different coffees and teas they offer and will help you make a choice if you are unsure. And what impresses me the most has to be the foam they are able to make on top of their drinks.

Just opened on the 16th Street Mall. Peet’s is simply the best. They started more than 4 decades ago in Berkeley, California. This place hits the soft spot for most Bay Area folk. So nostalgic.
