This is one my favorite places for lunch. The chicken salad sandwich is delicious as well as the green salads. You can get a half or a whole sandwich. The cookies are expensive, but worth it. They’re delicious, soft, and chewy. If you’re on a diet, stay away from the desert counter:-). They have a nice staff too. Check them out.

If it weren’t for the massive meetings my company has every so often, i don’t think i would have known about the yumminess that is paradise. could it be paradise in fact? why yes :) i tried a few different sammich’s off the party tray the company had bought and ate every last bite! i sampled the veggie sandwich [which is funny because i’m FAR from vegetarian] but being full of delicious veggies on whole wheat bread! my sammich of choice? the roast beef on chabata bread-full of flavor, and not too much bread! love, love, love it :)

My co-workers introduced me to this place. They have the best sandwiches, and cookies. My old boss use to bring cookies from here all the time. I stopped by last week, and had a ham sandwich on a croissant with spicy mustard and macadamian cookie. Best quick lunch, and the sandwich was awesome. Made me want another one.

I was walking down the 16th street mall and suddenly got this strange craving for a Chocolate Chip cookie. Don’t ask. I figured I would fulfill my stomach’s desire by stopping into the Paradise Bakery and Café. I won’t go back. First of all, the Cookie was awful. How hard is it to mess up a simple Chocolate chip cookie? The cookie was hard as a rock and didn’t even taste like it was baked properly. The bottom of the cookie was also burnt. I only tried the cookie here, but certainly wont be back to try anything else based on this disappointing cookie experience.

Whenever I go to Denver and stay for a few days, I usually stay at a hotel near 16th st. Mall. Everytime I go, I have to go to Paradise Bakery! Their sandwiches are so fresh and yummy and there are a lot of choices! I’m a huge sandwich fan, but I have to say that their sandwiches are my favorite! The cookies are also awesome… so soft and gooey. The only problem I have with them is that they don’t have one in Fort Collins. Maybe that’s a good thing though, because if they did, I would go every day!

The staff here are like vultures. If you dine in and you are about to finish your last bite they’ll be over within a seconds to pick up your plate. If you have two plates and finish the last bite of one they’ll be over promptly for that one plate. Then come back for the other. I actually get a little annoyed at a person standing across the room just staring at you to finish your last bite. Sometimes I like nibble on crumbs but here I cant even do that. I have to make a quick decision. Should I be nice and left them take my plate? or politely say come back. Which I’ve tried asking them to come back. It works but then someone else will come around and ask again shortly after. On another note the food here is the standard sandwich, salad and soup place. Nothing stands out as great. I usually order the cup of soup. I tried the crumbly bleu salad today which was good. Someone let me sample their breakfast burrito one morning which wasn’t that great. They put whole pieces of chewy bacon. I like my meat cut up and crispy. They do offer free WI-FI which is nice and very easy to connect to.

The coffee here wasn’t anything special, but the chocolate chip cookies were magnificent.

I happen to enjoy Paradise Bakery. In response to Greg Q.‘s poor review, you should know that downtown areas don’t always have public restrooms. That’s just a part of being downtown. Live with it. I don’t care if you have a toddler. Maybe he should wear pull-ups still when you go to a place where public restrooms may not be plentiful. I work downtown and frequent Paradise. They almost always have cookie samples setting out on the bakery counter. Their cookies are consistent. I love the chocolate chip cookies, cream cheese brownies, and the chippers(both the oatmeal chocolate chip and the chocolate cookies w/white chocolate chips). Yummy yummy in my tummy! I also enjoy their sandwiches, soups, and salads. My favorite is the tuna salad sandwich. I also like the Greek Salad. They also offer a salad trio where you can get 3 different salads on the same plate. Their soups are quite flavorful. I like the fire-roasted tomato soup. You really can’t go wrong with Paradise. It’s consistently good and service has never been a problem for me. They’ve always been friendly to me. If you’re friendly to people, they will be friendly right back :). They do have a frequent purchase program where you get a little card. If you get a certain number of entrees, you get one free. I can’t remember the exact numbers… but it’s a great program to participate in if you go there often.

Went here for the final breakfast in Denver and it was good. I ordered the breakfast burrito with green chili and took a small box of chippers to go. The burrito was good, although it could have been spicier. The chippers are buttery goodness. Not much to write here…

I’m not usually a fan of these sorta delis but for lunch I hit Paradise fairly often. My fav, ½ sandwich, ½ salad. The chicken salad with walnuts is pretty tasty. And for my salad, the Greek. Now that I think about it, the salad blows away the sandwich. Feta, olives, crisp cold lettuce and some fresh red onion. I’m on the Paradise ‘punch card’ program. I get points on every purchase and so on. So at some point in my life I’ll be getting a free sandwich I hope. The cookies are good but nothing to get you hot and bothered but is a nice treat after your meal.

only had cookies here, they were A-OK, thats about it. we were here later in the day and the cookies were half priced, which made them a little better than if we had paid full price. some of the other baked stuff looked OK but not really special. convenient location. easy to find.

good place to grab a quick bite. Got a half sandwich(turkey with cranberry on molasses bread) with a small salad(Greek) and it came with a cookie, all for under $ 8. Tasty food, good portion size.

Paradise Bakery sucks. Hard. And not in a good«chrome off of a bumper» sort of way. And definitely not in an early 90’s, reverse psychology«Primus Sucks!» sort of way either. They suck because while waiting for our food to be prepared, my 2.5 year old son needed to pee, and they«don’t have a public bathroom, it is located in another restaurant down the hall.» That business wasn’t open yet, and wouldn’t let us access their bathroom. The worker bees back at the counter of «Paradise» simply shrugged and tell us and our increasingly antsy toddler, «too bad.» Which is no way to treat any customer, but especially a child. After getting shot down two ways on where to take Little Q to pee, the women behind the counter were neither thinking creatively, nor being helpful. Finally, ultra-pissed, Mama Q asked, «Where do *you* go to the bathroom then?» Which finally got them to «let» us use the employee bathroom. As if that weren’t enough, the manager gave me a hard time for it. Let me repeat that: The manager managed to make it my fault that the bathroom they offered wasn’t open yet, and guilted me for getting my wife and child to use the«private» employee bathroom. Paradise is probably a great place for business people to grab a quick lunch. However, if you are a family staying in downtown Denver steer far clear of this place. They suck. Hard.

They have this brownie that must weigh over a pound. The line at the 16th street location can get a little long around lunch time, but I would venture outside in the 100 degree weather from my office, in a mission for the brownie, and it never let me down. I would eye the brownie impatiently as I waited in the line. I would see someone get one of the brownies and it would almost make me tweak out, because I didn’t want Paradise to run out. When I would get to the cashier and order the brownie, I would tell them exactly which one I wanted… which was always the biggest one I could find. I would down the thing in 3 minutes flat and still have room for my afternoon candy snack. * Star one is for brownie love ** Me so full star two is for brownies that resemble dumbbells… Lift up, bite, put down, lift up, bite, put down… that will make you sweat *** Used to be close star three is for the convenient 16th street location… You’ve got Greens right next door, just make this stop number two **** I can’t take it star four is for the exciting tension I felt while waiting in line… I am surprised I never popped!

I’ve only been to the Tech Center location so this review is for that location. The turkey & cranberry sandwich is fabulous. And you get a chocolate chip cookie with it. Who can beat that? I did get a salad once and it was OK. It had way too much dressing. I went back to the sandwich.

Paradise Café is a good place to swing in to grab some lunch. The service was quick and decently friendly. The crumbled blue cheese salad is good, though less blue cheese and more cranberries would have made it better. I also had the french onion soup, which was about average for french onion soup. Nothing spectacular about the place. They claim the best cookies in town, but I can’t verify that claim.

Paradise Café is your average coffee + bakery chain that gets it right: good coffee, good bread and decent prices. Seriously…this place has good seating, and decent service… no real complaints. Then again, nothing really sticks out either, so 4 out of 5
