I love getting a quick and healthy lunch here, since I work downtown. the Quinoa salad is most definitely my favorite. I also love the cucumber water and the friendly service. We’ve ordered from here a couple of times for work lunches, and everyone was a fan! Also good for breakfast. I had the orange pecan french toast… omg. Sooooooo delightful! Crunchy pecans in delicious french toast, with just a hint of orange flavor. We sat on the patio with our pup, and it was a wonderful morning!

Annually I have an opportunity to travel out of town to an exercise science/sports medicine conference, and the 2011 gig was in Denver. The last several years l have found Unilocal to be exceptionally helpful as I search for a local drugstore to pick up some sundry item I left back home in Seattle, or locate a breakfast place to avoid having to make a down payment on a two-egg room service delivery. My Denver trip was no exception. Since I have noticed the tendency of conference goers to walk into any restaurant, I’ve been turned off by the crowds as well as the predictable, extra expensive, less-than-four-star dining experiences located near the convention centers. Besides, after sitting on my bum for a few hours, I want to walk a little. I found Organixx on my Unilocal phone app. About 10 – 15 blocks away from the Colorado Convention Center, I was able to get my walkies on, AND locate a decent, healthy lunch estabishment. I ordered a quinoa salad while my friend ordered a sandwich & salad combo. The ingredients on my salad were fresh, though I would have liked just a little extra vinaigrette. My friend’s sandwich was quite large with plenty of turkey to make her happy. I ordered a side of baked apples to calm my sweet tooth, and we each drank cucumber water, available for free. Total bill for both lunches was $ 24. One of two minor issues I had included seeing a bottle of orange cleaner someone had left on one of the tables. I also had to ask for my side of apples, since they weren’t brought out with the rest of my order. Overall, I was very pleased to find a healthy dining option fairly close to the Convention Center without having to wade through throngs of conference peeps.

I love Organixx. I always get the Quinoa salad. It’s just hard to find healthy food in Lodo. So I keep going back! I also like the fact that their staff and management obviously care about their food, their guests, everything.

What I remember best from my Organixx experience was constant beeping. I don’t know its origination, but you could hear it distinctly over their music. Definitely annoying. The second most memorable thing would be the amount of bacon on their BLAST sandwich. They don’t scrimp on their bacon, so thank you for that. Avocado was a bit discolored. Sandwiches come with several bread options(I rocked the focaccia, definitely a good choice) and sides(purple potato salad — bonus for the colors, slightly sweet with some spice). Some sides do cost a bit extra. I also ordered the edamame hummus so I could use as much of my groupon as possible. That was an ok decision. Again, I was reminded that just because a similarly named dish appears on one menu does not make it as mind-blowingly good as the original restaurant hosting your food memory. It was a bit tangy, made me also realized I enjoy creamier varieties.

Fresh, «healthy»(if you want it to be), quick lunch in DT area. For less than $ 10, I got a half sandwich/half salad DEAL. I chose the Fish Taco as my sandwich & went for Quinoa as my salad. Both great choices and portions = large! Add on top of that: quick service + unlimited cucumber water. Water tastes so much fresher with a slice of cucumber to go with it.

Visited Organixx thanks to the half-off coupon that came in the mail. Here are the important things: –can’t use half off coupon and still get free wine. Boo. But, owner was nice enough to give me half off a glass of wine instead –interior is a little… strange. The brick walls and the sorta retro plastic furniture/chalk wall mural is a strange combo, but it kind of grew on me. Music was good when we first got there(some Manu Chao, Janis Joplin) and then deteriorated into some sort of Italian opera techno. –We were the only customers there. Period. Granted we went fairly early(around 530), but were there for 45 minutes. The only other person to come in was a waitress from Rio asking to borrow the dolly. A little off-putting, but not indicative of the food quality. –I was torn between giving this place 4 starts or 3 stars. My meal, which was the salmon burger with a side of fruit, was really delicious. I also had a glass of the organic South African chenin blanc, and it was super good. My bfriend’s vegan curry= not so good. Tasted a teeny bit like curry baby food. Total bill for two meals, one glass of wine and two beers(with coupon, during happy hour)= $ 18. It seems to me that this place is still finding it’s feet. I think this is a solid sandwich/soup/salad place. I hope that it can pull through. Go order some sam’iches people!

Courtesy of a LivingSocial deal, I learned of Organixx Restaurant. When I first learned of the restaurant, they only served breakfast and lunch, but have since expanded to serving dinner. I went one evening after work around 5-ish since I had to be in the downtown area. I located the restaurant and wandered in for dinner before a night of studying. I was greeted cordially by the owner and seated at a table. At that time, the restaurant was pretty much empty, although it was fairly early for dinner. I ordered wine and selected the pasta raccogliere, with grilled rock shrimp. It was a very tasty meal, with a light lemony sauce. I also ordered a chocolate dessert that was still semi-frozen, but the owner did tell me that he had to take it out of the freezer. I had a $ 30 voucher that I was trying to use up in a solo dinner, so dessert was a requirement. :-) Organixx was an interesting place. It almost has a cafeteria feel to me. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but I would try it again. I felt that it was still getting its legs under them, so I may try it again. I also ate at this restaurant sometime in September, so this review is a little dated. The food is what it is advertised, which is healthy and organic and also flavorful.

This is a good 3 star review. Answer to the basic Unilocal 2-part question(«Would you recommend this place to your much beloved Unilocal friends and will you go back again?), is yes and yes. Have been to Organixx only once; for a quick bite before a Denver Film Festival show, and it totally filled the bill and more. Organic, eco-minded, healthy, good tasting food, in a low impact setting = a winner for a not pricey alternative meal. Had the salmon fillet with mango salsa, served with a delicious fresh greens salad. Because we ordered food we got a free glass of wine, to boot. Now there’s a novel, most excellent idea! Asked for the salmon on the rare side and it was grilled perfectly with a mango salso that had an unusual and very pleasant hint of cinnamon! The prices were extremely low for what you got and the owner/mgr is a gem. Definitely hit them up. It’s not the place for a romantic, leisurely meal. It’s a great place, however, for healthy, tasty, low-impact eating.

Line forms on the right, extra 50 cents for fruit, friendly staff Not a fan. Hubby and I had a groupon, and we’d been wanting to try it since the first lodo bite when they ran out of food(say what, yes) We finally popped down for lunch, i went with the turkey pesto sandwich. I love me that type of thing from corner bakery — figured organixx would meet or exceed. Alas… no. Pesto was missing something. Not sure what, but it was so so. The extra 50 cents i paid for my 7 peices of fruit on my plate, left me a little miffed. Hubby got the Italian type of sandwich with potato salad. It tasted weird(i tried it of course), they used multi color potatoes which seems cool, but looked to weird for me and that taste was again missing something. Definitely not my place. Cool that they offer booze for brunch, but i wont be back.

You know, i think Organixx just ain’t for me. We went for lunch, and the service was stellar but the food was just, meh. It’s just not my cup of tea(or sandwich)

Used a «living social» coupon for lunch with a colleague last week. First of all, the prices on the online menu are different than the ones actually charged. MANAGEMENT: this is a big boo boo. Arrived at the height of the lunch hour, and the place was busy enough. However, trying to find an empty table that had been cleared of dirty dishes was near impossible. We were hoping for a booth, but every empty booth had dirty dishes(approx 4 – 5). Also some non-booth tables still had dirty dishes. MANAGEMENT: bussing tables during high volume lunch hour is a priority. Lunch was great. The fish tacos were a big hit, but the quinoa salad nicoise barely had any dressing. Fortunately, I was provided with extra — really enjoyed the sides of slaw and potato salad as well. I really do find this to be a great menu, beautiful restaurant, and was very glad to see a steady buzz of patrons the entire time we were there. With a few tweaks, this place could be bumped back up to 4 stars.

I’ve been here twice now and both times I got the cherry multigrain pancakes. The last time I also got a cup of soup– buffalo with vegetables– it was very good. The pancakes always fall apart but they are absolutely delicious. You order at the front and they give you a number for your table. I was a little confused on tipping etiquette. The service was great and the gentleman at the front was very friendly. It’s a nice little spot downtown for a healthy, reasonably priced breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

I usually bring my lunch to work and what I like about Organixx is that they serve the kind of food I usually bring(healthy sandwiches, salads, soup, fruit), only better. I always get a combo but I like to mix up the two items each time. The quinoa salad nicoise with lemon caper dressing is very good and refreshing. The grilled cheese with portobellos and bacon is tasty comfort food, and since I usually order half the sandwich plus salad and fruit I can enjoy all that cheesy bacon amazingness without feeling overly full. The Mediterranean salad is basic but with such fresh ingredients and delicious salad dressing it’s always surprisingly yummy. The only lunch item I’ve ever been disappointed with was the Island jerk chicken sandwich, which was weirdly dry and didn’t have any of that spicy-sweet Caribbean flavor I expect from jerk chicken. Maybe it was an off day. Oh yeah, they also serve breakfast, and I have had a few rough work mornings turned around by calling in a takeout order of the blueberry and whole grain pancakes with a big cup of coffee. :-) All in all, a great place for quick, healthy(ish), fresh breakfast or lunch for the many of us who work in Lodo.

Three words: Quinoa Nicoise Salad. This salad is my favorite salad in town. Mixed greens topped with a bunch of quinoa, the usual toppings and I am SET for lunch! Also they deliver downtown, considering I’ve spent more time at my desk than in my own bed in the last month, this is crucial. They have a delivery charge but at $ 0.50 per order, I will take that any day!

After a few failed attempts(we always seem to try them when they are closed), we made it to Organixx(or «Organdoc,» according to more than one friend who has mistakenly read their stylized logo). I got an egg dish that was something of a scramble. The eggs were creamy, but a bit too creamy for my tastes. I got feta in it, yet it seemed like there was another creamy cheese in there due to the texture(maybe they add milk or cream, as some folks do with eggs). The grilled veggies and asparagus tips seemed fresh. But overall it was just okay. Hearty eaters might be disappointed at the small sampling of potatoes on the side. But they were just seasoned potato cubes and not that thrilling, so my portion was fine. I left behind my ‘focaccia.’ It was a bit greasy and had too much seasoning. The herbs were really overwhelming, and the texture was a bit off to me, almost venturing into cornbread territory. I didn’t try my companion’s dish, but he said it was just okay. I do like the owner’s mission(available for reading in a binder near the counter). They aim to create as little waste as possible, offer reusable utensils and cups, and feature compostable to-go cups/containers if you must. They also try to use organic and local ingredients as much as possible. They’re really trying, but it was a bit underwhelming to me. I’m glad they are doing what they’re doing, but I wasn’t impressed enough by the food to go back.

I have to admit that when we needed a lunch option, I was sold on the name«Organixx.» It sounds healthy and yummy and that is right up my alley. Too bad that I ordered completely wrong… Kevin’s Asian Chicken Salad arrived at the table and looked awesome. Jelena’s turkey sandwich didn’t look bad either. And then came my avocado shrimp salad and a soup that didn’t resemble the white bean chili that I ordered.(Can you say«order envy?») I started with my Tarro chips which are my favorite. But after taking a few bites of my salad and spoonfuls of soup, I decided that I should speak up. It seemed there was some confusion on the ingredients in the soup. It was actually not white bean, it was more like sausage, potato, carrot soup… they switched it out for tomato basil instead — much better. But even with the soup switch-a-roo, I felt that my lunch was just average… so like Kevin says, «Thanks for the memories, Organixx.» One visit was enough for me!

It’s a rather unassuming storefront, and they’re not trying to split the atom here: Organixx is pretty much what it sounds like: an organic food restaurant specializing in healthy leaning entrees(sandwiches, salads, soups and the like), some similarly inclined bevvies and more. Nothing’s perfect but the end result was a pretty spot-on lunch, and I walked happy. I entered with a group of three and between the three of us we attacked a variety of each type of featured fare: for my part, it was walk to the gallows day for an Asian Stirfry Salad with chicken, and the sesame vinaigrette complemented well the grilled chicken, stir fry veggies, spring greens, crunchy noodles, greens and house focaccia. And given how starving I was, this thing was *massive.* Thanks for the memories, Organixx. I can’t say that I’m here often, but I was definitely lucky enough to be here once. And that’s a start.

You know how it goes– you’re in a meeting conference room in a semi-sedentary state nibbling on pastries and drinking coffee or sugary drinks. Come lunch time, you’re jumping out of your skin for something healthy! Enter Organixx for your wholesome eating pleasure. Yes, pleasure and wholesome CAN co-exist! And naturally, too. Organixx touts thoughtful choices in both products and practices and then passes this mantra on to us consumers. I arrived to a near-empty restaurant at 1pm(this is how you avoid the lunch rush!). I usually side with my instincts, so selected the smoked turkey sandwich with gingered cranberry/apple chutney, brie and sprouts on sourdough. Tasted like Thanksgiving, but with a fraction of the calories. Just what I needed. No after-lunch coma, no slug factor at all. Just good energy. And the sandwich was pretty damn delicious. Most everything on the menu is $ 9, and you can do half sandwiches/half soup or salad combos. Certainly not cheap, but it’s not processed either. I’ll take fresh fixins’ and pay a little more any day.

Had a business lunch here last week and got the soup and salad. The décor was cool and the menu looked great for a casual business lunch. One thing I didn’t know is that it’s a not a sit down and serve you kinda place, you order at the counter and then they bring the meal to your table. The girl at the register was not friendly at all and really was rushing even though we were the only two peeps in line. Cream of broccoli soup was divine, large pieces of broccoli and just perfectly creamy. The Santa Fe(? I think) salad was served up on terrible dry tortilla chips and my avocado chunks were brown-yuck! The salad was dry and didn’t have much flavor. I will probably try again sometime next year but I wouldn’t rush down there. Update: The Manager emailed me to apologize for my experience and invited me back. MAJOR points here! Way to go Organixx for diving in and caring. I will definitely go back now!

I just had lunch here and really enjoyed it! It was really very good. I was happy with the portion size/price ratio. I don’t recommend going right at lunch time because it was packed but 12:30… PERFECT! There are a lot of options and I know I will go back because I didn’t get to try everything that sounded amazing! I got the half smoked turkey sandwich and half quinoa salad. That sandwich was amazing! The turkey was perfect, + sprouts, cranberry compote, & brie(which I got on the side) = amazingly simple and deish sandwich. I am a huge quinoa fan and for all intensive purposes it was very good. My only issue was that it had a balsamic vinaigrette on it and it was just too strong. It overpowered the flavor of everything else(almost drenched in it) but I am willing to give it a second chance because it could have been an off day. I really want to try the half avocado salad… and about a dozen other things on the menu! I am disappointed I hadn’t heard about this place before. It will definitely be on my list of places to eat downtown during the day! As for service, it was minimal but that is okay. It isn’t a waiter based place so I was happy not to be bothered during the whole meal. The owner was cleaning table and bussed our dishes for us which was great because we were planning to sit and chat for a bit. The place was clean and fresh. I really enjoyed the whole experience. But I have a few notes — I would have appreciated it if the woman at the register told us that the glasses were by the soda machine and that the server will bring some silverware. Since this experience is slightly different than most, it would be helpful to have some instruction. Really, check this place out. $ 9 for either a sandwich or a half sandwich and half salad plus a side(the fresh fruit is REALLY good). The food is fresh and not overly processed. You will enjoy it. :)
