If I am having guests over this is my go to place for desserts. The cakes and cookies are light and not too sweet. I can’t replicate these at home. Even the tiramisu is great! Try the gluten free macarons. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here twice now, and it’ll likely be a regular stop for me when I visit Denver from here on out. The baklava is to die for, and I’ve also enjoyed the apricot cookies(not really a big fan of apricot either to be honest), as well as the mocha cake… very tasty mocha cake. What I’ve enjoyed the most however is the apple pie. It’s layers and layers of phyllo dough around molten apple-y goodness. Take one home, and heat it up in the toaster oven, and have the best morning ever – until you go to work and your boss ruins your buzz. Next thing to try will be the espresso and Greek Coffee as well as the Napoleon cake. If you’re going in once, take about $ 40.00 and get a giant selection of goodies to take home and share with people you love. They’ll think you’re the best person ever – and you are if you give them tasty treats from Omonoia.

I ordered very standard items: Greek coffee, spanakopita and a baklava, and they were each individually perfect. The business is a little rustic but spotlessly clean. Love it.

Delightful! A sweet little shop full of scrumptious treats. The owner is darling as long as you’re polite. Their coffee if fantastic, earthy and strong. I have had many of their pastries in the past and it is always difficult to choose. If you’re having trouble just ask what’s good.

Delicious desserts at a great price. Nice atmosphere for sitting down with an outstanding latte. The couple who own this place are so friendly and welcoming. This place is a real gem! Check it out for yourself. The honey cookies(melomakarona) are to die for…

I hope this place stays open forever. We want last night at about 8:45pm, and of course it was open and of course some old Greek guys were hanging out drinking coffee. The cookies and pastries are SO unique. Each one is delicious in its own, completely different way. My favorite choice are the Melomakarona or the honey-soaked, super-moist cookies with walnuts on cop and a slight orange peel essence. They are deliciously sweet and have such an interesting flavor. Their sesame and almond cookies are also top-notch, as are the powdered-sugar covered dry almond cookies. As for their pastries, baklava is awesome, but so is the not-so-great looking cream puff. It is AWESOME. So much delicious vanilla cream in a great shell. The Napoleons are also fantastic – such light, crispy dough lined with cream layers. How do they make these so good? No idea; but I hope they keep making them forever. It’s also always the same Greek woman working behind the counter. She’s nice once you get to know her :) I’ll be back, as always…

The products range from as good as it gets mind-glowingly delicious, to not as exciting. The pies such as cheese, and cheese and spinach are ridiculously good. The eclairs are some of the best I have ever eaten. The eclairs do vary in size from day to day, which is a little inconsistent. I wasn’t as big a fan of some cake item. Overall I love, love, love! They sell bread and cookies too.

One of the best bakeries in town. Staff is great, the goods are amazing and delicious, and it’s kind of homey-feeling inside. I like coming here, I like what I get here, and I have never had a bad experience.

Decadent and delicious at a reasonable price. Take your pick; everything I have tried here has been fantastic. Tiramisu: I judge all other tiramisu compared to this one, yes, it’s THAT good. Baklava: Flakey, chewy, and goody in all the right places. Not bitter from the walnuts. Lemon cake: Light and rich, but not too tart or sour. Mocha cake: Not my favorite, but my husband had no problem eating it all… and he doesn’t even like coffee. They also have Greek coffee, espresso, and bottled beverages. I would have no problem taking my grandmother here for coffee and dessert when she comes to town, and that means a lot in my book.

I just go in here and point. The pastries/cakes/whatevers are ALLDELICIOUS. Last time i bought $ 30 worth of deliciousness, a double shot of espresso, and stared admiringly at the table of old men yelling at each other in Greek over coffees and confections until they noticed. Then i left. They even had newspapers in Greek.

This little Greek bakery is a MUSTTRY!!! My boyfriend and I wandered in one evening while on a walk and the owner, Paulina, was very sweet and ready to help us. After looking through all the amazing desserts we realized neither of us brought our wallets. She must have heard us talking and immediately offered whatever it was we wanted to try, no charge. We left feeling humbled and excited about the Lemon Cake she gave us. The Lemon Cake was hands down the most incredible cake I have ever eaten, moist and perfectly lemony! We returned the next morning to sing her praises and pay her for the cake we enjoyed the night before. It was probably around 11am and she had just taken a warm cinnamon nut cake out of the oven and recognizing us, offered us a piece of that cake! We obliged and would have been fools to say no, and as with the Lemon Cake it was moist and nothing short of incredible. We offered to pay for both pieces of cake but she would only accept payment for one, smiling the whole time. We ended up ordering a whole Lemon Cake for Christmas dinner and my family was floored at how amazing it was. The whole cake was somewhat pricey, but totally worth it for special occasions, and your friends and family will fight over the last piece. Bottom line, EVERYTIME we return, we have similar experiences. This place and Paulina make you feel like you are in your new Greek mom’s kitchen.

I was craving a pastry, and my boyfriend hopped on Unilocal to find a new place to try. Unilocal didn’t let us down. Omonoia is a small, cozy space with a big selection of pastries. Our treats and coffee were brought out on a silver platter, and we were also given water in a glass bottle. Those little touches made our treats even more of a treat. I had the milopita, an apple pie pastry that’s made with phyllo dough, and a blueberry filled chocolate dipped cookie with a Greek coffee. I took up the offer to have the milopita heated, but won’t next time. The pastry was heated in the microwave, which warmed the pastry, but made the phyllo chewy. In my ideal world, Omonoia will get a convection oven and reheat pastries in that. This was my second time having Greek coffee, and it’s not really my thing. It tastes metallic to me and has a sludge-like looking substance at the bottom of the cup. I’ll try another drink next time. The baklava pieces are quite large. My boyfriend got one, and it was good. My favorite item was the blueberry filled chocolate chip cookie. I loved that cookie and immediately wanted to try more cookies(there are lots to choose from!), but decided to wait until my next visit. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m sorry Unilocal.I’ve let you down for so many years. I’ve been coming to this bakery since I was a weeee little girl and only now did it occur to me that I must review this bakery. For the record, nothing that I write about this bakery will fully convey just how amazing this little bakery is. You will need to try it for yourself. All the cookies are amazing. I love every single one of them. The chocolate dip fruit filled cookies are always a delight. I usually also get one of the powdered sugar cookies. The macaroons are perfection. Almond cookies are consistently tasty. There is a little lemon cakey/cookie thing that I only recently discovered and this may be my favorite. I’m more of a cookie monster so I don’t have much experience with some of the more gourmet desserts that they also serve. I“m sure they are amazing though. The baklava is hands down, unequivocally the best I’ve ever eaten. End of story nothing more to say. They give you an enormous piece for $ 3. The only thing left is for you to try it yourself. My parents go bizerk for the egg custard. Seriously bizerk. I’m not an egg custard person myself, but I do have to admit, it’s good egg custard. The prices are all very reasonable. The other day we walked in and got desert for 7 people for $ 20. Actually it was for 3 of us, but it could have fed 7. We just love it that much.

Omonoia Greek Bakery(OGB), I heart you in many many ways I wish I could have more… Went here with N, on Friday September 14th2012, after a not so stellar trip to one bakery close-by this establishment. When we arrived at OGB, My Oh My… the goodies of pastries, sweets, cookies GALORE made my heart skip abit. for this case its more than my tummy goes rumbling, and Salivate aka Drooling To The Max. Which to choose, which to choose, so many goodies to choose. But these were what I opt for that early morning : * 6 Cookies shaped into«shells» sandwiched with Jam, one end dipped in chocolate and dusted with powedered sugar. * 1 Slice of Strawberry Cake * 1 Slice of Lime Cake * 2 Spanakopita(Spinach Pastry) * 1 Baklava All my loot cost $ 23.53. I like all of the goodies I purchased from OGB. While N opt for the Greek Napoleon($ 3.25). N like her order of Napoleon. Might return again to OGB with Hubs either to purchase more items or perhaps have a bite or simple lunch in the near future. @136/2012
