Love this place! They had great music and a great vibe on NYE!

Great neighborhood spot. Bartenders are really friendly and awesome. I like that they serve craft draft beer here in addition to the usual stuff. Very close to home too, which is dangerous. I always have a great time here.

I’m all about the vibe, and this place is chill. The vintage décor — from velvet curtains to antique lamps — is perfect for conversation and cocktails. This place is everything you want from a local neighborhood bar. The staff is awesome, and they will make you feel at home. Ridiculous specials everyday from 6 dollar beer and shot whiskey Wednesday’s to 3 dollar shots for tequila Thursday, and all day happy hour on Sunday. Bud is 2.50 all the time, and there are seven crafts to choose from on draft plus bottles. Anybody who can’t get down with this place probably considers Applebee’s a neighborhood bar. Please do not touch or think about the turquoise lamp near the entrance, I plan to take it home with me one of these nights. Also, be sure to check out the ceilings in the bathrooms, but don’t lose focus on why you are in there either. That is all.

From the former owners and employees of Jonsey’s EATbar, this small drinking hole has all you really need in neighborhood bar. 7 beers on tap(4 craft), full liquor selection including mystery shots, and daily specials. We got here just as they opened at 2: PM and used our BarVenture drinking booklet. $ 5 for 2 drinks and we we shared a «breakfast shot» with the bartender.

Brilliant place. Chill but with fun nights, great bartenders ans great peeps. Retro jukebox, video Games, darts and a fireplace in the back. And you can order food in if you want it. Besides, they have old playboy pix on the bathroom walls and just a general good vibe. One of my local favorites.

As a former Rosa Mia Inn barstool weight, I was excited to hear that this place was getting yet another facelift, and hopeful that in the hands of owners who know the industry, would be done proper. You can’t swing a dead cat in North Denver without hitting a new bar or restaurant that caters to the gentrif-invasion of what is now«The Highlands.» Much to my delectation, the Nip & Sip is delightful, and we had a fantastic Saturday evening with great friends old and new at this fantastically re-decorated dive. Josette was a delight, and we will definitely be making this our go-to weekend destination. Bravo!

Kind of a weak beer list and the taps aren’t running properly. The two beers I tried, were standards and were both«off». The bartender drank more than we did. Nip and Sip is nothing special. At least the old dive(and it was a true dive) was authentic. The bartender couldn’t stop talking about how much much the place was going to make — not from this guy. Another«addition» to the neighborhood.

We weren’t sure what to expect with a name like Nip and Slip but this place is right on the money. I guess the owner’s grandfather was nicknamed Nip and they decided to use that in the name for some reason — an unfortunate decision but the bar itself doesn’t seem any worse for wear. Truth be told It’s a stellar transformation from the horrendous abortion that resided here for the last few years. The original Rosa Mia Inn was a pillar of the community and I was sad to see it go — the insult to injury was that the new owners were trashy and tedious. True masters of the dreary, dingy depressing experience. None of us expected it to last more than a year or two; thank god we were right. Welcome to the neighborhood Nippers. EDIT: My only complaint is that they supposedly put the race car on the outside wall as a tribute to the Lakeside Racetrack. However, as any google search will tell you, Lakeside was a dirt oval track — the painting on the wall is of a drag car. Derp.

Change and not change. Prettier. Still a neighborhood dive bar. But, a very pleasant place to sit and drink. $ 2/can beer daily specials. Met a wonderful barkeep named JD. Sometimes, the not change, is all for the good. You should go.
