We just moved to the area and the food here is great if but a little expensive. My only complaint is they have a minimum of $ 35 to deliver. That’s insane! We’re only 2 people. We end up ordering food we can’t eat just so we can get delivery.

Oh yes, New York Deli News. Pastrami on rye, breakfasts, prime rib specials. AL, the owner watches his business closely and does a great job. I’m a foodie and this is top notch. I was feeling adventurous to try the Matza ball soup as I was looking to experience my grandma’s chicken soup. It must be me as it didn’t have any deep flavor and the flavor of the matza was nonexistant. I’m a chicken and dumplings kind of girl. Go forward and love this place, take home the desserts. Thank you Al for always making me feel so welcome

Normally service is good and so is the food, we meet here monthly for our women’s group. Today the incredibly rude manager stopped by our table because one of us had an outside mug. He interrupted our meeting and gave our member a very hard time. Unbelievable!!! Needless to say we will be moving our group elsewhere, will NOT be back!

One of the worst experiences in a long time. We meet there monthly and today, the manager rudely interrupted our meeting and was unprofessional and disrespectful to one of our members. The food for several of our members was burned. I’ve never been a big fan, we always have the same waitress and she’s unpredictable at best. Some days she’s quite nice, others not so much. They have insisted that we order food to use their facility for our meeting and we always do. However today the manager made sure to ask us all during his rant in the middle of our meeting. All because one of our members had an «outside» cup. Give me a break! I will not return and we will be moving the location of our meeting. NY Deli– you have terrible Customer Service.

Amazing food service and all around atmosphere. I was upset that I had not tried out this place earlier because it is truly phenomenal… The portions are huge and the pastrami corned beef with Swiss sandwich I had was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. My girlfriend was very happy with her turkey club sandwich as well. The service was great and it was just a good overall experience.

The corned beef eggs Benedict was unreal! Enough for 2 meals. Pastrami corned beef on Rye stacked and fresh. Quite the find for us. Fast pleasant service. Worth the drive to Denver!

The East Coast reputation for the surly New Yorker is alive and kicking with the ownership of this restaurant. The food here is nothing unique to this part of town with lots of sandwiches, fries and soup, but not much else to speak of. The quality of the food is good and you can get a hefty serving of attitude if you bring small children.

My girlfriend and I were looking for something different besides the usual village inn or iHop for breakfast this morning. New York Deli News seems to always have a full parking lot so we decided why not. We walked in and were seated right away so it started off great. But quickly went down hill once my girlfriend was charged $ 3.75 for a 12oz OJ that said it was freshly squeezed but anyone with eyes could clearly tell it was from concentrate. Service was people friendly but for a plate of three blueberry pancakes($ 7.95) and 3 scrambled eggs with cheese and tomatoes($ 4.75) that weren’t very appealing to the eye, and with potatoes that looked like a cross between scallop potatoes and potato skins, I would just prefer to have more flavor to my food. Boring food with good service; is that why people keep coming back?

Delicious! The pastrami on rye was exactly what I needed! I’ve been missing NY/NJ Deli food and this brought me back home! A tad pricey… but some things are worth paying for, and this definitely was! Cheers and best of luck with the business!

Every time I get to South Denver I stop by this wonderful place of New York style meats! Their pastrami and tongue and simple so so so great and is one of the places in Colorado that does the New York sandwich right! Piles and Piles of luscious meat that melts in your mouth and then melts your heart. Enjoy!

New to Denver and I can’t believe my local friends haven’t told me about this Gem. I know of some great delis in LA and have been to NYC once. This Deli ranks right up there. The Pastrami is fantastic get it with slaw and dressing!!! The pickles are perfect. This is a must stop!

Coming to New York Deli has been an absolute adventure especially when I thought I was going to Jason’s Deli ha-ha . For an appetizer we ordered a cabbage roll and that was absolutely yummy it was served with their house rye and little slats of butter. For a main course I ordered the special of the day long beef ribs with coleslaw and beans. The ribs were absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious, the coleslaw was sweet and delicious the beans were yuck! Straight from a can. My Mata G Kali ordered the pastrami corned beef Swiss on rye and that was also scrumdiddlyumptious the potato salad was yuck very dry and tasteless. For dessert we ordered a black and white cookie that tasted sicky sticky sweet and also yuck it tasted like a dried out cake. Now to the waitress portion of this review. This, is the first time I ever felt like this in my life. I felt like the waitress should have tipped me for putting up with her bad attitude and lack of customer service skills. All the waitress had to do to remedy this situation when we confronted her about the potato salad being dry and the beans being yucky was all she had to say is may I offer you something else would you like some more coleslaw that’s all she had to say there were also other things she could offer this on the menu too but she did not at all. It felt like this was coming out of her pocket or she had to pay for it herself. What a crazy attitude to have when you’re a waitress. FYI the Manager Ian has been notified, but he didn’t even offer any compensation for this visit or even a visit for next time, all he said to me is I wish you would have mentioned something sooner. All I can say is what a bewildering experience!

This is the type of sandwich shop that you would find in New York: a decent price hovering around $ 12 per sandwich with a lot of meat. Some of the items really take off such as the #14 — Deli News Open Faced Special Grill: Turkey, Ham, Swiss Cheese and Russian Dressing. The NY Steak Sandwich is also a great selection, but its quality is rather spotty. It’s a steak cooked to your liking on garlic bread. A very interesting and delicious concept. Depending on who is cooking, though, I’ve had a really good one and an okay one. Some of the things aren’t recommended like the BBQ Brisket of Beef Sandwich. It’s not like BBQ you would expect with meat that is rather dry slathered with generic barbecue sauce. The burgers are nothing to write home about. The service is typically attentive and the atmosphere, especially in the backroom, reminds me of the east coast. The only thing I dislike is that none of the deli sandwiches come with a side outside of coleslaw. Usually, delis will provide a bag of chips or maybe some fries, but not here. This is probably one of the main reasons this will not get 5 stars along with some of the non-sandwich choices being subpar. Also, the only televisions to be found are near the entrance. This is rather strange this day in age. Regardless, most food is really good and I would recommend this place.

Great NYC deli in Denver. Pickles on the table, the largest Matzo ball I’ve ever seen, beer, wine and some cocktails, brunch, and friendly service. We had chicken noodle soup with a matzo ball, the wedge salad, and a triple decker corned beef, pastrami, and Swiss cheese on rye. The portions are Huge. Prices may seem a little high on the menu but when you see the size of the portions it makes sense. We’ll definitely be back!

I am a huge fan of good deli food & have ordered take-out from here in the past. Last night my wife & I decided to treat ourselves after seeing a film about the original NY delis. First of all, the restaurant was filthy. The floor looked as if it had not been vacuumed in a week. The dust, our table was sticky… oy! Being a Jewish-style chef myself, I wanted to sample some true Jewish treats. I ordered 1 piece of stuffed cabbage, 1 potato knish & a tossed salad to get some veggies in me. My wife was already disgusted by the filth that she only ordered a bagel & cream cheese. I started with my salad. The lettuce seemed fresh but i had to remove the carrot, tomatoes & cucumbers because they seemed old & dried out. When our food came, i cut into the stuffed cabbage to find raw ground beef. Not rare, RAW! While I waited for the waitress, i tried the knish. The dough was totally raw. And to top it off, even the bagel was really stale. After 10 minutes of waiting for the waitress to no avail, i asked for the manager. She did come right away & when I explained our issues, she tried to tell me that this is always how these items are served. I showed her how raw it was, told her I was a chef who cooks these items often & if they are serving literally uncooked food, this was a big problem. She took the food away & asked if we wanted anything else. We told her that if this is how their food is served, we did not want anything. She then presented me with a bill for the tossed salad, of which i could only eat the lettuce &2 sodas. I Cannot describe my anger having to pay $ 10 and we mow had to go home & cook our own dinner. With the food, rude service & filth, I will never set foot in this place again. As I said, I had ordered take out often, but after this, they have lost a good customer.

This place gets the job done. Good food but nothing to die for so far. May come back and edit if I try something else and love!

Nice place. Have to get my fix of salmon here and only here. Pastrami was bland. I will not imbibe into pastrami anymore. Can’t talk to the matzoh ball, I have not tried it.

Very very disappointed! I don’t know if the prices sky rocketed and the quantities dwindled but looks like I won’t be coming back. The soup wasn’t nearly what it used to be either, very watery

Extra star for friendly staff, but less than impressed. The bar was set extremely high for me. Having been introduced to the bagel deli, I have a new appreciation for Jewish food. While the food was«ok» the serving size and overall taste didn’t compare. I paid 13 bucks for a small sandwich that left me still hungry. Granted, I am a big eater, but come on!

Love this place. Food is exactly what you would expect from a New York style Deli. All the good stuff, pastrami, corned beef, rye bread, bagels, pickles, hash, eggs, bologna, etc… I also like that they have good, tall drinks. Screwdrivers and bloody Mary’s for brunch. Massive portions. Highly recommended. Feels homey.
