Best Lo-mein in the city! I work close by and their portions are huge! Orange chicken and crab cheese wontons are awesome as well. Great place!

This place is great! The portions were large, service was fast and friendly, and the food was perfectly spiced and full of flavor. We had the Kung Pao tofu, shrimp Lo Mein, and crab wontons. Definitely above average. The real test was how the leftovers held up. Everything tasted just as great as it did the day we ordered it. This will be our go to spot when we’re in the mood for American Chinese food!

Me and my roommate love this place! Great family run little spot. We order from here at least once a week if not more. The best is their egg drop soup(best in the WORLD)! Also love their crab cheese wantons and orange chicken. Great prices and lots food!

I love this local spot for quick Chinese at a good price, not to mention, HUGEPORTIONS! It is a go to and great for locals. I think a family owns it because I always see the same group there, several generations of friendly people happy to help and always working hard to fill many orders. They are always busy. The food is ready extremely quick and is a great value. I am basic and go for sesame chicken, it never disappoints. There is parking up front, making it one of the easier places to go to in the area. Check this place out!

New China Café is my favorite spot to order Chinese delivery. There are a lot of bad chinese restaurants in Denver, and I was looking for«the spot» for the longest time. I had no idea this place even existed until a co-worker recommended it one day. Plus it is one of the only places that will deliver to both my work and my home.(Cap Hill and Cherry Creek) The food comes pretty fast and has never been cold. On cold or snowy days the delivery time can run up to an hour or more around lunch time, so do not be shocked by long wait times during these days. The delivery also has a $ 10 minimum and most of the lunch specials are $ 6 – 7, so throw in some soup or rangoons! I usually get beef and brocoli or general tso’s for the lunch special.

Good value, for the amount of food you get compared to the what you pay it’s great. The food tastes awesome also. I work in the area, been coming here, weekly, for over 10 years and never had any complaints. You can see them fire up your meal, cook to order not a dollar scoop place. General Tao’s chicken is bomb, Szechuan is grub too.

DONOTTRUSTTHEREVIEWS! Ordered the General Tso’s with«fried rice» that had no vegetables, and the«chicken» was nothing but over fried breading. And there was no spiciness to the chicken at all either. Stay clear of New China Café…

Well, to start off I almost hung up on them and told them to phuck off. RUDE !! He couldn’t hear me, told me my order didn’t make sense; I said well it’s on your menu. Then it was ok. It was the beef, shrimp and pork lomein combo, I asked for only shrimp and beef. How hard is that?! Customer service us not part of this. I’m hoping the food makes up for lack of courtesy. Ok. Food was amazing, very generous portions as well. We have enough for a few days actually left over! The delivery driver was nice too! I guess I can handle the order taker next time knowing what’s coming will be great!

This is my go to shitty/generic/americanized Chinese place and I mean all of those as good things. For better or worse I grew up eating this fare and I need a dose of it every once and a while. The food here is quite tasty if the above is what you are looking for. The prices are pretty good as well. My problem and the reason I will be looking for a new place is the surly guys who work up front here. Everytime you call in or come into pick up your food there is a 50% chance you will talk to the very friendly woman who is usually working the register. The other half of the time you have to deal with one of the young guys who help her out. They are awful, especially the one last night. They are brusque and rude over the phone and in person. You feel like they don’t want your business and that your call or pick up is just a waste of time. If you call their cheese wontons crab rangoons by mistake, the younger guy will act like you asked him for Nachos. I do not like them and I am not sure who could. Either the nice woman needs to run the show solo or her compatriots need to get a much better attitude. Lastly, they are not great at special requests. Ask for extra spicy on a supposedly spicy dish and you will wonder if they even gave you the regular amount of heat.

Went for dinner last night with my ladyfriend. We got take out(me Pork Chow Mein /her Sesame Chicken with light sauce). Unilocal reviews were great and the line was almost out the door, so something must be right. The staff was super friendly and the food… really good. Huge portions. We were able to share 1 entrée and be satisfied. We now have lunch for the next day. 3 meals of great Chinese food for under 25 dollars is awesome.

Huge portions for the money. Parking is limited at lunch. Food came out fast. General Taos was pretty good, better than most I have had in the landlocked states 4 stars. The Schezuan chicken was bad. The chicken lacked flavor and spice, and had a slimy texture 2 stars. Go with the fried items.

I haven’t been here for 15 years since I moved south… New China does not disappoint! We had Drunken Noodles, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Combo Lo Mein, Hot Sour soup… Crab rangoons and the Crispy Wings! WOW… large portions! Very good flavors… get any Combo plate with the Crispy wings!!! The décor is lacking, 3 tables and maybe 8 chairs… I’d go with take out and head over to Wash Park, just down the street…

We read the reviews for New China Café in search of a new Chinese restaurant to try, and after seeing the praises of New China we decided to give it a try! We were not disappointed. The spices were spot on and the portion sizes were more than satisfactory for the price. I am more than happy to be able to give our new delivery joint 4 stars. I wish we could give it 5 stars, but as Jacklyn W mentioned in her comment it was hard to look past the fact that when our egg roll came out it was actually a plane…

I have given New China another shot and have since fallen in love. They have great food options and are wonderful people. I would recommend eating with friends so you can sample the food.

Looking for a new place to try after receiving rude service from our former Chinese food go-to, I scoped out this place here on Unilocal!and after reading the reviews, decided to give it a try. I was unfortunately disappointed. The price was amazing for the amount of food we got, but after biting into it, I understand why. I got the sesame chicken — one of their house specialties, as stated in the menu — which had a good flavour, but was very suspicious. Many of the«chicken» chunks were more or less breaded fat or just breaded crisps and I only ate a small portion of the immense amount. After one bite into the crab rangoon that I dipped into the sweet & sour sauce that accompanied it, my face scrunched up. I figured it was just the sauce, so I tried it without. There’s a good possibility the cheese was rotten… at least that was the taste I got, seconded by my partner who tested as well… and we set those aside. The fried rice was very good though, and the service was quick and friendly. I may order from here again, but will stick with rice dishes.

My favorite take out place ever! I typically order the orange chicken or the Szechuan beef. The portions are huge so there is plenty for leftovers or for two people to share! They used to add chicken wings to your order which were really good as well. This place is family run so the customer service is top notch. It’s a little dirty on the inside and there isn’t much space for tables but I usually order out.

I am picky when it comes to Chinese food and this place hit the spot. I missed the lunch hour for Mongolian Beef. It isn’t offered in the combination platter, but I was allowed to substitute. It comes with fried rice(no meat), but I had heard great things about the combo fried rice(pork, chicken & shrimp), so I paid the $ 4 extra to upgrade. Both selections were tasty. I love onions, but I would ask for less onions in the Mongolian Beef dish next time. The crab cheese wontons and egg roll were very good also. I saw some reviews complained about the dirty delivery area, but it was pretty clean to me. I even dined in. I would definitely drive the extra distance to visit this restaurant again, bypassing many others that are closer to my home. Also, the menu on Unilocal does not have the correct prices.
