I used to love coming here, but after today’s experience I don’t think I will be back. To sum up, it was a long wait, really bad ambiance(like we were seated at the utility closet), when food arrived we did not have silverware to start eating, and my food had unwashed herbs, then the napkin and silverware arrived with some sauce on it. It just put me in a bad mood… Not worth ruining your Sunday morning…

We went here yesterday for breakfast while we waited for the REI Garage sale. We were lucky enough to get a table as it was completely packed and had a wait about 10 minutes after we sat down. I got the huevos rancheros and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy. The good: The food was very reasonably priced and staff was nice. The food also came out very quickly. The biscuits and gravy came with eggs and potatoes and tasted really good. The huevos rancheros looked great and was a ton of food, especially for the price and I ended up taking half of it home. The fried tortilla it came on was delicious! The not so good: The huevos rancheros came with an entire handful of cilantro on it. I love cilantro, so I initially thought this was great. However, it was a handful of leaves and stems, which wasn’t so great. I had to take all the leaves off the stems so I could eat it. The dish was also very bland. The pinto beans and pork green chili had zero flavor or salt. There was also only 1 piece of pork in the green chili and it was almost all fat, so I didn’t eat it. If you check into Unilocal it says you get a free coffee drink. When we asked about it we were told it wasn’t a coffee drink, but a free drip coffee. Maybe they should change the deal to reflect what is actually offered. We won’t be driving across town to go here, but if we are in the neighborhood and hungry we will stop by and try this place again.

Food was ok, but service left a lot to be desired. There were three people in front of us and the server acted like they were the busiest they’ve ever been. He was also yelling names off the wait list and acted super annoyed. Not once did he ask how our food was. Disappointed.

Great food. Really neat décor. Waitresses who are proud of what they are serving. The food was fast. I’ll be tossing and turning in my sleep tonight trying to decide between the blueberry pancakes with lemon whip cream, and the eggs Florentine.

We had breakfast here this morning. The food was really good. I liked my pancake a lot. However their service was a little strange. It didn’t take away from the meal at all but was worth noting. I’d go back for a solid breakfast.

The staff is very friendly but the food was not very good. Mona’s benedict was not very good(barely warm and the yolk was overcooked), my cappuccino was lukewarm, the blueberry flapjack was good!, and the huevos rancheros was pretty good too. Unfortunately with so many other brunch options around town I’d go and suggest somewhere else.

I’m giving it a 4 because it really doesn’t deserve to be relegated to the 3-star places, BUT I wasn’t in love. The place is real small, and it’s not as clean as you’d like. The staff is SUPER nice, and they all seem to be having a great time(good sign I think). I had the breakfast burrito, and my husband had Huevos rancheros. Not bad, but not blowing my socks off… maybe if I had a mimosa with it it would’ve been:)

Pretty poor quality food. 2 stars is generous. Its pretty hard to mess up breakfast, but Mona’s does a good job of it. Coffee is weak and wasn’t very hot. Omlette looked to have been left under the warmer for a while. Toast was tasteless. It has feel of a restaurant on its way out.

Great vegan options, build your own tofu scramble and they even have gluten free bread. :) Fun coffee drinks and yummy variety of mimosas using fresh juices.

Usually we have had great experiences at Mona’s and their food is good, however, we tried to go for breakfast this morning and stood at the door for 15 minutes without being greeted. Multiple servers looked over at us, walked by and stopped to drop of menus as the host stand without acknowledging us at all. When the host finally did get around to addressing the long line at he door he was extremely rude. No apology for making us wait, just excuses. We ended up walking out. When we told him we were leaving he couldn’t even remember talking to us 2 minutes before about a table. Not sure what’s going on at this place lately but they need to get it together. We’ll think twice before heading to Mona’s again.

All I have to say is: racist staff, rude service, just all around very poor customer service be it the owner of staff. If ur not white u won’t be treated the same. It disgusts me that there are still people who think this way in this diverse country.

This was my first time at Monas so I have to give it 4 stars until I come back and try more of their food choices! I’ve been wanting to walk down to try their breakfast burritos for a few weeks. I finally did today and I was extremely pleased! It was a little pricey but well worth it! I had the bacon breakfast burrito and it was fantastic. I’ve tried 8 – 9 different places and this has been the best one so far. It was very large and stuffed with eggs, peppers, cheese, potatoes and a crap load of bacon! And it had cheese and bacon on top also. I ordered it without the chili sauce on top but I will have it that way next time. Monas was clean and had a very friendly vibe. The service was excellent and I like that they have the breakfast and lunch concept going on there! I am going to go back this Sunday hopefully and try a lunch item! I highly recommend Monas!

Mona’s just a few steps away from the office so I said to my self«why not try it out». Because almost all of my workmates comes here, they promotes they place a good spot for lunch so I finally come to try them out. French toast was okay, I don’t eat french toast so I don’t how to judge theirs. Davinci’s Florentine was good, better than the french toast. I find this place Okay.

Just went to Mona’s for the first time after my husband came here a few months ago with raving reviews on breakfast. I ordered the corn beef and hash as recommended by our waitress and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage. The hash was just cubed potatoes and cubed meat. My husband looked at it and said«don’t even eat it» So we shared his burrito which was missing the sausage. The burrito was fantastic even though she forgot the meat. Our waitress never came to check on us or she would have seen that not one bite was missing from my plate. Hostess was great! Breakfast burrito and green sauce was awesome! Bad waitress, not restaurant.

I love breakfast places! It is by far my favorite meal of every day. We stumbled in here on a recommendation from our hotel… glad we did! I am a vegetarian and they had plenty to offer me! I decided on a spinach and cheese omelet and also had to get a blueberry pancake. :) Oh so good! The omelet had the perfect amount of spinach in it and it was covered in cheddar cheese! I like how they incorporated the spinach into the omelet as opposed to just being inside of the folded eggs. The pancake was so delicious! Perfect amount of blueberries that really hit the spot. Our server was nice and checked on us often. Oh, and we did not have to wait! That was a big plus. Of course, we did go on a Thursday late morning. :)

Ordered the crab Benedict. It looked like a corned beef hash at first but very much tastes like crab! I thought it was delicious. The wait was a bit long but besides that, I’d come back.

Uninspiring. My first try here and I always go with a basic breakfast: eggs over medium, bacon, toast. I added one of the special blueberry flapjacks. The eggs were well cooked(I’m picky about over medium), but everything else was MEH. One slice of bread for toast, and unbuttered – I hate that, cause inevitably by the time the toast makes it to the table, it’s too cold to melt the butter. And TWO slices of bacon for a $ 2.50 add-on? Feh. The flapjack was enormous, but not on flavor. And again, skimping on the syrup and butter. I left most of mine. I won’t be back.

I hate to give this place only two stars, but I just did not have a good experience here. Much like Ron Swanson, I will frequently just order a plate full of bacon and eggs. I don’t usually like toast, potatoes or any other fillers they tend to put in. So, I just simply ask for a plate full of eggs and bacon and waiters/waitresses get it, so they bring me a plate filled with eggs and bacon. I did that here, the waitress asked no questions, and then just brought out 1 egg and two pieces of bacon. I’m not a small person, and even if I was that is not a sufficient breakfast for anyone. It’s partially my fault for not elaborating, but I just thought we were on the same page. On top of that, the bacon was waaay over cooked and it took about 20 minutes to get the food out. Eh.
