I just got my first tattoo here and the experience couldn’t have been better! Both Patrick and Jenny are so friendly and obviously super talented.
Jenny did my tattoo and was very thoughtful, sweet and communicative. I brought in a design (a fox) that I wanted and she made some thoughtful modifications.
Since I was a newbie she did a great job being clear about the process and starting a little slow to ease me in. It also helped that she and Patrick are so easy to talk to and we chatted through most of my two hour appointment.
Once it heals I can’t wait to go in and ask her for some custom scenery to go around it!!!

Jenny is amazing! She had done 9 pieces on me and I get compliments everywhere I go. She is very talented and so easy to work with. Thanks, Jenny!!!

Jenny is absolutely amazing! She exceeds my expectations every time. People will stop me in public to take a closer look to see all the amazing detail Jenny put into my tattoos. I had her do a portrait of my dog and it was amazing how she captured all of my dogs quirks and personality. Everything was so detailed even down to her tiny crooked teeth! Her work is versatile and she does a wonderful job consulting your individual style. You might have to wait a little for an appointment but you will not be disappointed! Jenny Lee is not only a technically skilled, experienced, and creative artist, but a great person to work with. We have been working on a half sleeve (almost done!) and she has been accommodating and professional throughout the entire process. From the very beginning she was dedicated to my own vision of what I wanted, while still lending her experienced guidance as the artist. I get so many compliments on the work she has done, and am already planning to have her do my next several tattoos in spite of previously being a steadfast patron of a larger, more «popular» tattoo shop in Denver. Because of the skill and flexibility I’ve already seen, I know that she could take any concept I throw at her and do a fantastic job.
This shop is great, and both Patrick and Jenny are wonderful people on top of being stellar artists.

Patrick and Jenny both do amazing work, and they are not limited to certain styles. They can tattoo just about everything! Both are also very accomplished «artists» and create masterful original paintings and drawings. I own a print shop and I’m honored to duplicate their art and make «Fine Art Giclee Prints» for them as well. There’s a lot that goes into a good tattoo! Doesn’t get any better than Jenny Lee at Monarch Tattoo in Denver. I’ve been getting work done by Jenny for the past five years. She’s done my last three large pieces and each time I have been completely satisfied by her superior artistry and customer service. Her professionalism and fair pricing for the high quality of work is what sets her apart from other artists in the business.
Jenny’s eye for detail and her superior technique means that my tattoos are complimented nearly every day. She’s always been responsive to what I have communicated to her and she’s committed to getting the designs the way that I want before she begins tattooing. That being said, with her expertise, I always trust her suggestions about what makes a great tattoo and she’s never steered me wrong; she’s that damn good.
I’ve sadly moved away from Denver to NYC but I honestly can’t bring myself to go about finding a new artist here. I plan to fly back to Denver just to get tattooed by Jenny, that’s how amazing she is and how one-​of-​a-​kind her work and skills are.

She’s known throughout Denver as an incredible artist and a fantastic person. Her reputation precedes her and I have recommended her to my friends consistently for the last 5 years. Did I mention she’s one of the few female artists in the business in Denver? Pretty amazing to have amassed a reputation like hers in what is still so much a «boys club.» She’s humble, she works hard, she charges a fair price and she does the best work. What’s not to love?

As someone who’s very particular, I had a hard time finding a tattoo artist when I moved to Denver six years ago. I found Jenny at Think Tank and she’s done brilliant and beautiful artwork. I remember our consultation, she took my idea and made it flesh. Couldn’t have been happier with her work. She’s so charming and sweet, I feel like tattoo appointments are more like reunions between friends. Patrick is always so much fun and very thoughtful, I love when we can all joke around during an appointment. Jenny has a wide range of styles and can tattoo anything, from the eerily grotesque to the fantastic to the delicately beautiful. I’m sticking with her.

Getting tattooed is as much about the experience as it is about the finished product and there is no one in the world I would rather share that experience with than the lovely Miss Jenny Lee.
When I moved to Denver in 2011 I was nervous about finding the perfect tattoo studio. I researched for a couple of years and spent a lot of time comparing shops and portfolios. I saw Jenny’s art beautifully displayed on a new friend and knew that I found what I was looking for. I made my consultation appointment the next day.
Jenny listened to what I wanted (which was admittedly very vague) and somehow conceptualized exactly who I am and what would look best in a matter of minutes. She is an incredibly talented artist and very insightful when it comes to personalities and how to make a cohesive and beautiful piece while honoring the client’s (sometimes misguided or vague) wishes.
I get stopped on the street constantly by people admiring my artwork but the thing I love most is when my friends and family members see it for the first time and say, «it’s just so you!».
I sat with Jenny on Wednesday and she started the outline and shading for a ¾ sleeve on my left arm and I absolutely love it!
I can’t stop staring at it!
I could go on and on about how much I love and appreciate Jenny Lee and Patrick. I HIGHLY recommend Monarch Studios!

Jenny Lee is the illest. I only get work done by her, I get tons of comments and questions on my work, and I’ve had several friends go to her.
You know how you go to a salon, and you bring a picture, and you tell the stylist what you want and they’re nodding all, «Uh-​huh. Oh yeah, totally!» Then you walk out with something completely different than the picture in your hand and the cut you two agreed to?
Going to Jenny is like the opposite of that.
And Patrick’s dope, too. I’ve been for several several-​hour sessions, and it’s just talkin’ with your homies.
I refer anyone interested to Monarch. I love these two.

Patrick is the best. The 2 tats I got on the same day were my first ever. He’s got great skills and I enjoyed the entire 5 hour process. Looking forward to going back and getting more work done.

As good as it gets! I came here because I was recommended. My buddy Tyler got some ink done by the artist and was very happy. After seeing his work I agreed it was awesome and looked great. So I set up a consultation with Patrick and he drew up my tattoo first and after seeing the art work on paper I was happy and agreed to have the ink done. I am working on a full sleeve now and the color and detail is amazing. I can’t wait to get it done and already thinking about my second piece. Check this place out. There are two people here. Patrick and Jenny. From my time in the shop it seems that everyone is very pleased w/​Jenny and her work as well. Must go place.

Jenny is AMAZING! Highly recommend. I have not had work done by the guy there but he seems really nice and I saw him do a consult once while I was there and he seemed very patient, knowledgeable and caring towards the client. But back to Jenny! Super sweet, and AMAZING artist, gentle, caring, thorough, and will do her best to squeeze you in when she can although you of course need to book a few months in advance for most pieces. She has squeezed me in twice for smaller pieces which is so awesome. So highly recommend. I’ve been other places in Denver and insist you go here.
