Mickey’s Top Sirloin

BEST old style Italian/​Superclub restaurant on the Northside! I LOVE the steaks and they offer all of the options and goodies: D The staff is down to Earth and always up for a good conversation.

Mickey’s is a place I used to go when I was little and was so excited to go back as an adult. Unfortunately my Saturday BAR night turned into «Adventures in Babysitting.» I was so saddened by all the young children in the bar area. There is a large family dining area, however, parents chose to prop there children up to bar tables. It was a very uncomfortable situation to drink at the bar while small children watched, and one that I seem to run into more and more in Colorado.

Came here a while back. Ordered a steak. Had no flavor whatsoever. Asked for it to be cooked medium and I got a piece of rubber. Steak cane with a small ice cream scoop of instant mashed potatos that did not taste good. Staff was friendly though. I will not be going back.

The menu had me on a jumbled decision between Mexico or Italy? The steakish choices were OK but the meat lacked grill marks indicating it was prepared to be edible on a flat top grill??? My glass was never half full or half empty, just empty leaving me thirsty. Salad was a little just leafy with a couple pepperonis, could of used some more veggies like I don’t know say tomatoes or even a little onion. I would go American pub food and purchase a char grill to become top sirloin. Big kitchen a lot of room for improvement.

We are literally sitting in this establishment (and I use that term loosely) as I type this and I cannot believe the utter ridiculousness of this! One in our party received his CHEESEBURGER after the rest or our party was done eating. That being said, his cheeseburger is dry and cold! One in our party NEVER received his food at all. We have asked to speak to a manager 4 times but she/​he is too busy looking at her tickets to «entertain» our request! The server continues to makes excuses about «being the only one on this side» but I fail to see how this is our issue! Ask for help! We have now witnessed another patron from a different table complain about the lack of service! The manager has now come over and she has comped our meals (even the one that was never delivered… thanks for that) but with a complete lack of concern as to the issues that we experienced. This tells me that they are used to giving out free food to make up for their inability to participate in the service industry! I do not recommend this place at all and would give it zero stars if that was possible!

One of the best places i ever ate i recomend the steak samdwhich made and tadte amazing the waiters are amazing food really good

Kinda hit and miss, maybe depends on the cook but it’s another case of used to a great place but not so much anymore. We’ve gone there for 15 – 20 years and I don’t think the menu has changed. They need to update and keep a good cook around. Good smothered burritos and cheap. Steaks are disappointing.

Terrible terrible food. Steaks aren’t seasoned and taste old. Vegetables are way over seasoned and weren’t fresh. Green chili straight out of the can. STEER CLEAD OF THIS PLACE!

Love this place. Old school, feels like a supper club, great homemade pasta meatballs, steak is great, good drinks!

The worst, trashiest, most disgusting food. Do NOT waste your money. Go to whole foods and buy a steak for the same price that is of exceptional quality instead of some mass produced factory farmed meat. Seriously, the fish and chips were frozen and the bread seemed to have come out of one of those bulk bags at Wal-​Mart.

Went for the first time tonight. 4 adults with a 3 year old. A nice large booth, 2 adults and a child in booster seat still plenty of room on one side. Drink orders immediately taken. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs, but did rush us at all. She went over and above in serving us. The nightly manager came by to ask about food and service. The nightly steak specials were cooked to perfection! Very good! The manager told us they cut their meat every day. Never frozen. The prices were very reasonable! We will definitely be going back!

This place is low key and not high end on the outside. The food is good and if you like midwest simplicity this is the place. Steaks are good and I really like the Nachos. Fish and Chips is not bad either.
If you are looking for low key decent foord this is the place. Service could be a little better but that is not why I go there.

I’ve never been disappointed at Mickey’s. Great steaks and reasonable prices! The atmosphere is nice too. Dim lighting, but not dark, and lots of interesting decorations.

Food was ok… but. not good for families. husband wanted to watch game so our family ate at a booth .be careful of drink charges for tea etc. waitress cute right in between us on multiple occasions. not good etiquette

Went there after work on a saturday… ordered some drinks n beers… not a fan of plastic pitchers but the price was right… got there in bar 6pm on a sat night… after 15 minutes we ordered nachos… wings…and onion rings… food was ok… but took at least 30 minutes… bar was kinda empty… I guess they give priority to dining room dinner crowd. We will be back for backgammon night

I don’t know of any negatives. I’ll admit I haven’t eaten anything at Mickey’s other than the burrito. It’s awesome. I think I eat it on average twice a week. For a month, at a new job down the street, I drove by and paid the place little mind. It looks hokey. Like a small, almost steak house for locals who have assigned tables. I drove past 20 times. When a coworker finally took me, I was immediately smitten over the smothered green chile burrito… let’s just assume that you understand I like the burriot and can forego me mentioning it several more times.
Kathy, behind the bar in the afternoons, is awesome. I’ve come frequently enough that the only question she asks is tea or water. Even with tea, I can be cheap and do 20% tip and leave for $ 9, but I usually round up.
Some day, when someone else is paying, I’ll opt to try something else besides the burriot. Maybe.

Average food. Steaks are cooked well but low grade cuts. Served my steak with a rotten piece of lettuce as a «garnish».

I can not speak to the steaks, don’t eat them myself. Mickey’s burgers are great. The Mexican dishes are some of the best in town.
The service is always excellent and the staff friendly and on top of their game.
Food does take a while to get to your table, a fact of life when everything is prepared fresh and made to order, well worth the wait.

Today was my 3^rd visit in about 10 years; The first time I went with a group of people and really was not impressed with the quality of the steak so haven’t returned until this month when a friend asked me to join them here for lunch. I had already eaten so I just had a strawberry sunday which really wasn’t bad. Today however was a pretty lousy experience. We ordered a guacomole salad to start and shared a T-​Bone steak 22oz. My bf ordered a gingerale with cranberry juice and I had a coke.
The problem is when the appetizer was forgotten and brought out after our entrée’ (who wants it at that point) and when we were charged for 2 drinks for the gingerale with a splash of cranberry. Now these 2 things wouldn’t be a big deal but when you have to ask the server several times to do the right thing and remove them from the bill it is unprofessional. Also they claimed there was no manager on duty today. When I asked why we were charged for 2 seperate drinks all she could say is that’s just the way it is. And the appetizer was untouched so I told her I felt it was a waste since we didn’t get to enjoy it. We may come back but it may be awhile :(

First time here. I won’t be returning. The only thing impressive is the staff. Some of the most helpful and friendly I’ve encountered in a while. Ordered one of the steak specials 12 oz. ribeye ordered medium rare. Received cooked almost medium and it’s one of the toughest that I’ve ever eaten. Not to mention whatever kind of seasoning that the kitchen puts on the steak, in my opinion truly ruins a great piece of meat. Sent mine back get it a second attempt at medium-​rare come to the table seared and still mooing and eating grass out in the pasture.
NOT A FAN OF THIS PLACE.
