Mathletes vs. Athletes Elite Event

For the first time in my life, long nights of watching Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek back to back to back into the wee hours of the morning paid off and I was finally to showcase my skills of dunking a plastic basketball 5 inches in diameter.
What a blast! The viddles on trays were particularly awesome — who knew tomato soup could be so good? I’ve got to go back to try the food at this place for real…

It just seems that you get better and better at these, Tiffany! I’m so very exponentially satisfied after leaving a Unilocal event! Great games and trivia, and thank you for introducing me to one of my new favorite burger joints! I stuck around after the party to sample the fare!

I had watched every episode of Star Trek TNG and didn’t know what the Picard maneuver was. I thought maybe it was geek-​chic way for a couple to say they got engaged. I’m still upset at myself for missing any SciFi related trivia. Bad, Michael. Bad.
Fun night! Thanks to Kelly and Tiffany for all of the fun and games, and the great staff at Highland Tap & Burger for friendly and delicious snacks and drinks. And thanks to the Unilocalers we interacted with for the laughs. I brought my nerdiest friend, and think we may have made a Unilocaler out of him. We shall see.
Mad props to the owner Juan, for going around and introducing himself, and for being such an engaging, friendly guy. I really felt like he wanted us to have a great time. And we had a great time.

Another great Unilocal!event. Highland Tap & Burger was awesome. Their servers couldn’t have accommodated us better.
I am giving this 4 stars only b/​c I have to be completely honest. I feel like the theme and venue were both great (especially loved the theme) but I didn’t feel like the meshed. I thought the venue was too small to fit the athletic portion. We were all really packed in there, to the point that a basketball caused a giant spill.
None of this is to say that Tiffany and Kelly didn’t rock it. Thanks ladies!
We did order a couple burgers (regular and veggie). The veggie especially was awesome. Looked like real meat so much that Erin B. made me try it before she trusted it was veggie.

Great event. Had a lot of fun. Thanks Unilocal for doing it!

This was a blast (as per normal for Unilocal events). The fun people, the tasty libations, and the tempting food were augmented by tests of physicality and mentality. Tiffany certainly knows how to host a shindig.

I could hang out at Highland Tap and Burger every night. And I pretty much have been recently. As much fun as it is in summer with the garage doors open, it’s just as fun if not more on these cold nights, with the fireplace outside and tvs inside playing endless football. Their servers manage to handle any crowd and party with ease and friendliness. And I found a new truffle cheese to love. The spring44 cocktails were delicious, I’m a big fan of their vodkas and gin. Thanks to our waitress and Juan for the perfect drink ideas. Thanks Tiffany and Kelly for another smooth, fun event! I’m sad I forgot my red Unilocaly stocking there last night!

Had a fabulous time at this event. Met some new Unilocalers and had fun playing the games. Putting a truck back on a skateboard was harder than it looked.
A warm welcome should go out to the new Tiffany that just arrived in town. It was great meeting you.

Thank you to Highland Tap thanks for allowing us to invade your space. I was said that I only started talking to the owner the last 10 minutes or so. It’s great to meet the man behind the scene. We share a dislike of truffle and froi gras. I’ll have to go back and visit if for nothing else than this reason. :)

The owner and servers were wonderful and the nibbles were YUM-​MEAUX! I also ordered a burger I ordered and it was cooked to perfection like my previous visit.
It was so nice to meet many of you for the first time and chat with those of you I know. Thank you Tiffany N, Kelly T and HTB for putting together such a great event!

Any event that asks what the Picard Maneuver is is a winner in my book. I may need to re-​think my friends as I was the only one who knew what it was, but still.

We ordered some of the main menu and let me tell we will be back. Burgers are great!
Met some great people and got some new friends through Geek Trivia and fry sharing.

Great time! The beer was fantastic and the appetizers were tasty. Small venue but it was a cute place. I can’t wait to go back. It was great chatting it up with Tiffany — except when she kept slamming me in the back of the head with a box of cereal! OUCH!

What more could HTB do to warrant a (nother) 5-​star review?
Host a Unilocal event of course!
Gracious hosts, patient servers (seriously – they kicked butt), and the ever-​tasty food and bevs from HTB made for one heck of a Wednesday evening.
Fun interps of the costumes, and go figure Julio swept the overall (big ups to Slumpbusters, Julio!).
Thanks Tiffany N., Kelly, and HTB for making this school night totally worth tomorrow’s tiredness ;)

This was so much fun. Love the m/​athletes theme. Psyched to start playing some Banangrams and reindeer ring toss (Def. bringing both to the next game night). I’ve been wanting to check out Highland Tap & Burger for awhile, so I am glad I had an excuse to go. It’s a great place and can’t wait to come back for some more of their yummy veggie burger.
