Went last night, had a good time until some dude tried to start a fight, the bartender must have been friends with the guy cuz he told me not to start a f***ing fight, and I tried to explain it, he wouldn’t even hear me out and walked away, I won’t be back until he finds a new job

They have a very cool biergarten with a good selection of local beers. Kid and family friendly.

Once called(the music box) So I’m trying to be positive about the many lounges around my neighborhood– but this place is not of the neighborhood people or what it represents — So if your not from here this may be the place for you– If I’m going to spend this kinda money I will go downtown to drink–

This is the best neighborhood bar anyone could ask for. First off, they have a very chill and welcoming vibe. I have never had an unfriendly server or bartender here, and that is something that is really valuable. They have an amazing assortment of craft beers and cocktails, and an even more eccentric food menu featuring local eats! The best part of this bar though is the patio, they have multiple fireplaces, cornhole, and outdoor shuffle board! Must have: the sausage platter and Leopold’s blackberry bourbon

Great spot to grab a drink after work or if you’re looking for a chill place to duck into to have a drink on Saturday.

As a few other reviews have stated the only downside to the back beer garden in the summer is the children that are let off leash after eating a bowl of sugar. That is easily combated by coming here after sundown. Now that that is covered this is a great neighborhood bar. Great local music without a cover, karaōke nights and lots of cool local art covering the walls. They have a pool table inside as well as a photo booth, and bocce, bean bags and ping pong outside. They have a decent tap listing with the usual IPAs stouts and saisons. They sometimes have beer takeovers or events like crawfish boils, Octoberfest ect. They also have some basic food offerings like hummus plate, sausage sampler, and assorted sandwiches, I haven’t eaten here before so i can’t comment on the food. It’s a great spot and I hope they keep booking good music cause that’s the main reason I come here.

I really want to like this place, but I just cant. The smoking area is offensive and it’s apparent the owners are making it a point to ostrisize folks who want to smoke. The staff seems great but the crowd is pretty off. it’s hard to explain, but feels a bit stuffy for denver. One upside to this place is the guy who runs open mic; that’s a well run event.

Nice local dive bar with free pool and good drinks. Friendly wait staff, and just what you’d expect of a bar like this. Oh and a photo booth!

This place got a great facelift years back. The music bar had its own appeal but the current management just improved upon and made it a little more friendly. The staff has always been pleasant. Yes, as others have mentioned, this is a dark bar. The patio is bright and inviting and huge so if you’re not into the dark side you can mall walk right outside. There’s ping pong, bocce, cornhole to keep you and your friends busy. The beer menu is decent and changes from time to time from what I remember. The food is dogs/burgers and finger foods on an outdoor grill. All around just fine. The only thing that really chaps me about this place is the damn kids. It’s not all the time but occasionally there are so many children running amuck that you’d swear you’re drinking at a McDonalds play land. That constant sound of high pitched screams mixed with tiny Velcro shoes smashing through deep gravel. I’m pretty sure the grand scheme was to make the place inviting to people with offspring and that’s fine but in general these people start to not pay attention to what their kids are doing once they’ve had a few. I grew up going to the pool hall with my old man and I was allowed to play with cards at the bar. In a chair. Different time and place I guess.

Service is spotty. On a slow afternoon, I was basically ignored at the bar… ridiculous. This is in a great location with potential… the staff needs to get over their attitudes and ‘coolness’ and understand that the establishment is ultimately there to make money, through selling beverages, not being hipster snobs. Try being friendly and acknowledge patrons, even if you are busy!

Came here last night to celebrate the hubs dirty thirty. We arrived around 9 and there was ample parking out front and in the parking lot which was surprising because last time I came here it was a full house! I agree that it can feel a little divey but there are windows and the custom décor is a nice touch. We all got our drinks and headed out to the beer garden. Loooooved it! The ambience is perfect outside. There are games, fire pits, and plenty of seating outside. They also serve BBQ which smelled amazing. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy the beer garden now that it’s finally warm outside!

Best patio in denver for sure, good food as well. They have crawfish boils a few times in the summer which is nice. Good for kids on their family Sunday’s or anytime really. They have no smoking on the patio which is great I only wish everyone followed it. They have some local brewery selections always available on tap. Great spot, karaōke and bands often. Inside could be better but I like it still!

If service is a part of drinking, then they do a disservice to the liver, CNS, and veins! Bad service, horrid drinks from the swine of Fleet Street London, 1856. Worst Bloody Mary my lips have ever sneered at.

Awesome local bar with 80’s cover bands that frequent on the weekends. The back patio is great in the summer with firepit a ping pong table and lots of seating. Bartenders are always friendly. Great local neighborhood joint to see live music and have drinks with friends.

Local 46 is a small bar set apart from the main street area of Tennyson(in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood). I would not put it into the dive bar category… it’s definitely too clean and has great décor. Plus… The beer garden is well thought out and a great place for outdoor drinking! The bartenders do a great job with the drinks and the prices are not as high as other places in the area. The service is very consistent: Glasses are cleared, servers check in to make sure that your needs are met and all is done with a smile. I’m a big fan of karaōke(watching and participating) which makes Thursday one of the best nights at Local 46! Thank you Niya for your commitment to the neighborhood… We are so lucky to have you and Local 46 as staples!

I feel like I need to go here and take some photos to update those on Unilocal!ha! This is definitely a local hang out with a good vibe. We went on a Thursday night so we got to enjoy all the karaōke. Pool was free so we ended up playing a bit while hanging out. Being a dive bar(I think), it was sort of dead or half empty, however you want to look at it. I don’t question that if you want to meet people here it is pretty easy to do. In fact, it seemed like everyone knew everyone else except us. If you live in the area and you’re into that scene then it’s a place you should absolutely look into. For me personally, if I’m on Tennyson then I will come here but I won’t come to Tennyson for this place alone.

Awesome local bar, with a really friendly staff. Also great back yard patio with great grilled food(not sure if they have food all the time– but we went on a Friday night and tried a little bit of everything, and it was all good).

I fell in love with that back patio. It’s so perfect for summer lounging. Prices are a little high for some of the cocktails($ 12 for a Manhattan with Peach St. Bourbon? Really?), they seem to think that an Old Fashioned is made in a shaker(an Old Fashioned is never, ever shaken) and the draught beer selection is surprisingly thin(though still quite good) but I don’t really care! Everything tasted delicious, the patio is incredible, the servers and bartenders are good folks, and the Local46 grill out back is churning out some unexpectedly tasty vittles for the«shack» it seems to be. The pulled pork tacos were nothing extra special, but somehow tasted grand. I really dug them. The sliders were unassuming on the plate but danced in my mouth. They were absolutely delicious, and I didn’t expect it at all. I’m a Local46 believer without question. What a wonderful place to come and hang out and socialize, such a phenomenal backyard atmosphere. I already can’t wait to go back.

After a fantastic day networking at a library conference, what can one possibly do to celebrate other than enjoy a pint with colleagues? Not a whole lot I say! And since Local 46 was new to our group, and within close proximity, we headed over to relax. Upon walking in for the first time, I immediately thought of the Skylark: a bit dark with a long bar top, several cozy spots throughout, and even a little stage. But that’s about where the similarities end. Local 46 also has a huge patio: outdoor bar, picnic tables, fire pit, ping pong tables, and bocce ball! Sadly it was raining during our visit, but I was in love with the space. Aside from the cool space, indoors and out, Local 46 has a reasonably respectable small tap list. During our visit, I had an Upslope Lager, but I was tempted by Lone Tree’s amber, which my coworker tried and loved. So hey, they had at least a half dozen local brews gracing the tap lines, so I’m a fan right there. After spending a few solid hours chatting and sipping beers, we noticed all types of people popping in: twentysomethings, thirtysomethings with kids, cyclists, and even a rough looking biker who insisted on singing songs to all the beautiful ladies. I had such a blast at Local 46! I so wish it were closer because I would be slinging back pints here way too frequently! So in short: awesome space, friendly service, cheap drinks, Colorado beer, badass patio! I’ll be back as soon as humanly possible. Pro tip 1! Chalk and chalkboards in the bathrooms. So freaken’ sweet. Pro tip 2! The 2014 Denver Passport can be used here! Boom!
