After using this company for 7 years, I have had to change service due to the grossly subpar service. When I started using Lawn Services, Sally (owner/​manager) was pleasant and willing to work through any problems and made you feel like it was worth supporting a locally owned/​operated business. In the last 2 years, which I attribute the changes to the hiring of an office staff named Karen, I have been lied to, nagged at, and made to feel like my business didn’t matter. When bringing this to Sally, I got a nasty voicemail and a letter (with a statement) where she couldn’t even bother to get my name right… when it was printed right there. She cancelled my remaining services that I had already asked for and had started prepaying (budgeting) for without confirmation.
Chris (owner/​sprinkler guru) had actually seemed interested in keeping my business, at least for sprinkler issues. He is amazing and so wonderful… but you can no longer directly get him on the phone without going through the office harpies.
It’s heartbreaking when you have found a great locally owned/​operated business to support… to watch them throw it away.

Do not use this company.
They dethatched my newly seeded grass and as a result it died and I had to replant this spring.

So I haven’t been treated this rudely in a long time. I live on a block that has 5 duplexes with a long strip of grass between the road and sidewalk. I wanted to get a quote for mowing the grass. First I was told this isn’t possible since we don’t have an HOA, then the person on the phone figures out that I’m not talking about 10 separate front yards, but one long piece of turf. As she was getting my info for the quote I tell her that I got her number from my neighbor, who uses them. She then tells me that they won’t be able to mow our common turf since the neighbor currently uses them. She told me that she would loose money that way and all 10 of us would need separate contracts. I respond by asking why not, since if we had to go with another company my neighbor would then cancel her contract with them and go with the new company, thus they would still loose money. She then hung up the phone on me. I called back and another lady ansewered the phone. She told me that I was talking to the owner and that there is nothing that she could do since that was the owner who had hung up on me. Needless to say, they lost a potential big client!

This is a terrible company! Do not use them. Also so the poor reviews on google. I told them that I would not use them anymore and to remove me from their list and they called me today. I’m glad they did because it reminded me to post reviews to warn others. I originally used them because they touted being green and not using pesticides and herbicides unless absolutely as a last resort. I specifically told them not to EVER use anything poisonous in our backyard due to our small elderly dog that had a breathing problem but also because lawn chemicals have been proven to cause cancer in dogs and people. Well, one day, I caught a tech in the backyard spraying. I again called and told the company I had requested they never do that. They had no record of the first time I told them that. I have no idea how many times they put chemicals in backyard before I caught that guy. Our dog’s health went down quickly after that. He liked the hang out in the backyard in the grass and I have no doubt the chemicals did not help and possibly even accelerated his decline. This company also burned a 8’x2’ part of our front lawn.
