Kirby Kar Kare

We have only had one repair done here, so I can’t speak to a pattern, but so far, so good! We had been taking our car to the same place in south Denver for years, but we recently moved, and our new place is just too far from our old repair shop, especially for a one car family (bussing it back etc). Kirby is about a mile from our new place, so after our old repair shop had looked at our car for a couple of issues, fixed one, and told us we would need to bring the car back in for a full day to explore the issue, we decided a change was in order, and tried Kirby. Not only was it far more convenient for us, they were able to look at the car the same day we called, and have in fixed in a matter of hours (this is the same issue that our old repair shop said they would need a SECOND trip and a full day to poke around to diagnose). The repair was also pretty affordable, and interestingly enough the folks at Kirby immediately identified the problem that my old shop couldn’t figure out, and it was a different issue than the other shop thought it was. I am impressed so far.
They don’t really have a lobby or waiting area, which is a little strange. This place doesn’t have bells and whistles, but I would rather go somewhere that does it cheap and right with no waiting area than wait in a lobby and have a bigger bill at the end.
One weird thing, they are obviously big second amendment advocates (i feel like that is a cozier way to put it, rather than «gun nuts,» which is how they come off), based on the posters and whatnot on the wall. A little weird; I don’t usually want to get into politics with a small business, but whatever, they were nice and they fixed my car quick and cheap!

I was in a panic yesterday because I accidentally put regular gas in my friend’s diesel Beetle that I was borrowing. Kelly from Kirby Kar Kare was extremely kind and professional on the phone — I got to speak immediately with Jesse the head mechanic, who asked me all the right questions and reassured me that it actually could be fixed.
They got me in right away. and stayed late on a Friday to take care of it. They even asked what the tow truck was costing me to make sure I got a good deal on that.
In the end, they were able to get me out for great deal less than they had originally quoted and treated me and my daughter (who was with me) like family!!!

Kirby Kar Kare has gone above and beyond my expectations. Finding an honest mechanic is always tough, but the service and prices they have given me have blown me away. Their estimates are accurate and less than other shops. I’ve even called for after hours roadside help and they showed up and got me my car back the next morning. Fantastic!!!
