The food was very well priced and we thought it was delicious and authentic. The service was very personable! I will definitely come back!

The red and green salsas with chips that you are first presented with are enjoyable(spicy). The waitress messed up my order, but they corrected the error without too much hassle. The food was just ok, not awesome. No alcohol is served here, and that typically removes a restaurant from our frequency list. Cheap lunch…“you get what you pay for” at this establishment.

I had lunch here today. The location on 38th Avenue is best described as hole in the wall. Service is friendly but it would have been helpful if my Spanish was better. The food was just ok. The torta was served on bread reminiscent of a hamburger bun. I might stop by if I am in the neighborhood, but I won’t be going out of my way to dine here again.

This place is great. The food is top notch and the service is spectacular. I really felt well taken care of and like the staff gives a lot of attention here. There are a lot of good looking things on their menu. I will certainly be back to try more. Thank you!

Early morning in a weekend, me and the wife came to enjoy breakfast. Very hard to enjoy breakfast anywhere on a Atkins diet. I asked for queso fundido w/chorizo and a chorizo omelet. My wife got thick mild spicy menudo. The queso fundido was CHEESE yes lots of melted Oaxaca cheese. Very delicious if you like cheese. The omelet was just. My wife menudo was good. I don’t fully appreciate the whole scenery here. Good food but terrible dining area and it killed me. The exterior and interior needs work.

The food was great, atmosphere was extremely nice and the staff was busy. If you’re looking for a nice restaurant to have a family member this is a great choice.

I can’t understand why so many people I denver give such high ratings to Mexican restaurants that have bland food. There are so many to choose from, yet people get sucked into thinking that a place with no flavor is good at all. The service was alright, but the place didn’t seem very clean, there was sauce burned on the edge of the plate, and the server dropped a taco off my plate as she clumsily set it on the table For the food itself, I couldn’t differentiate what was was eating with looking at it. The tamale, chile rellleno, and other items all tastes exactly the same. The presentation looked hurried and careless.

Dined at this restaurant last weekend, having gone out of my way to use a deal. They would not honor the $ 10 certificate and hovered over my family until we paid our bill I’m full — as if we were going to try to bolt without paying. I’ve never experienced such rude treatment from a restaurant proprietor. Beyond that the food was mediocre. The chicken in my chicken burrito was salty and tasted as though it came from a can. The green chile was okay but with all of the Mexican restaurants in Denver this is certainly nothing to go out of the way for and because of the service I would certainly NEVER go back. If I found myself in the neighborhood I would choose the option directly across the street instead.

Great experience. They seem to have solid food at good prices. I look my girlfriend here because I’m cheap, and we enjoyed our meal. The place has a nice atmosphere, cold beer, and good service. There is not much more you can ask of a Mexican restaurant.

Authentic Mexican food for a GREAT value! The family-owned establishment makes you feel right at home. They look you in your eyes while you order and are very respectful. The food comes out fast, hot, and its delicious! I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.

I love this place, I live way on the other side of town but I always make time to come to this Mexican Restaurant! I love the service and the authentic Juarez Mexican food.

We stopped by one night and used a Unilocal deal. We had a hard time finding the place, as it’s a small restaurant on a small strip of storefronts. The lady who served us was pleasant. The food was okay. There wasn’t really anything outstanding. They don’t serve alcohol here, and everything else seems to come in glass/plastic bottles. I’m glad we came by to support small business owners, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

After coming back from LA, the location and exterior seemed completely normal to me, in fact maybe even too clean! And parking was a piece of cake! Yep! I scored a primo spot right in front of the door. We walked in on a Thursday around 6:30 and I realized what jerks we were, since they were probably hoping to close up by 7pm(going by the hours posted on Unilocal), but we were on our way home from the airport and so hungry! The lady was super sweet, she sat us down in the completely empty restaurant and brought us chips and 3 salsas(which vanished instantly). She brought us water and came back repeatedly to take our order, but the menu was so extensive neither of us could decide on what we wanted. Our server gave us some recommendations and we had to ask for another minute to decide. There was a lot of back and forth«you get this», «why don’t you get this?», «well we both can’t get the same thing!», and finally we settled on 2 tacos Dorado(beef and chicken) and a plate with a chile relleno, enchilada, taco, and rice and beans. This was the perfect amount for two. The food itself was not the best mexican food I’ve ever had, but it was definitely A-OK! The price was totally right too! I did have a Unilocal check in of 25% off, and our total came out to around $ 11??! I’ll be back since so many other things on the menu were screaming out to us.

Honestly… I don’t understand the positive reviews and very high average star rating. This place was absolutely awful. Our food(2 entrees and 2 side orders) was terrible. It’s also not that cheap — we only tried it because we had a Unilocal Offer($ 5 for $ 10 — thanks Unilocal). Our food with two sodas would have been $ 28 before tip if we didn’t have the Unilocal Offer. The specifics: Bad tasting food. No liquor licence, staff who clearly didn’t understand what the Unilocal Offer meant and a very nice waitress who was smiley, but clearly didn’t know the menu(to be fair to her she mentioned it was her second day, but paying customers shouldn’t really be used for training right?). For silverware I had one fork, my wife had one knife. Puzzling. My chicken fajitas were fatty and super greasy. My wife(a Mexican food lover) couldn’t finish her Chile Relleno or Burrito as it tasted bad. The passable item was the singe beef taco(which I asked for shredded but it came in slices — but that’s OK given the other issues we encountered). One star for the salsa. I suspected the worst when we arrived at LUNCHTIME and it was practically empty — 5 people in total). I really do wonder how this place is still in business. Maybe the owner makes money from other businesses apart from this one? Unilocal Offer buyers beware. This was my first Unilocal Offer purchase and I’ll definitely think twice before buying another. Summary: — badly trained staff — awful food — poor décor /depressing vibe. — no beer /margs — no credit cards — debit only or cash

You could easily miss this place if you blink! A tiny nondescript restaurant right off of Federal Blvd. this place is amazing! The décor is nothing to write home about but that is part of its charm. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We didn’t do a lot of talking as she was mostly Spanish speaking but luckily a regular translated our appreciate for the fantastic food! Not only was she our waitress but the chef as well. JJ got the Beef Fajitas and I got a combination plate with: Chicken Taco, Tostada, Enchilada, Pork Tamale, Chile Relleno and beans and rice. We ended up splitting all of the food because it was that good. The flavors popped in all the right ways. A definite must, especially if you miss authentic Mexican food that doesn’t require green chile smothering it to be good. The Verde sauce they served beforehand with chips was the best I have ever had! A lot of the time restaurants will have very bland Verde sauce. Not true here! The sauce was bursting with flavor and just the right amount of heat. When you do come here, and you must come here, make sure to save a little room for Sopapillas or Churros. Delicious! Can you tell I am an instant fan of this place?

This is a good neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Don’t be put off by the worn exterior as the food is tasty and the service is pleasant and efficient. I had a Torta(Jamon y Queso) which was very good. Lettuce, tomato, avocado and little to no mayonnaise. A good deal at $ 4.50. The torta is recommended. Our server was friendly and patient with us newbies as we perused the menu. The atmosphere is a tad too cafeteria-like. Sterile. Certainly won’t make you linger. — No Wi-Fi + Parking lot in the rear. Just go down the alley. + No hassles with the Unilocal coupon. + The menu is funny. It is loaded with full-page ads including one en Español encouraging you to participate in the 2010US Census — Website is very weak — No beer(but they do have a Corona bottle piñata) + Background music was Mexican and easy to listen to

I have a weird theory on Mexican food … the cheaper it is the better it usually is. This place proves my theory true. It’s an inexpressive hole in the wall that serves great Mexican food. It’s got a madre and papa type of feel to it and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and came out quick. Win/win if you ask me.

I grew up in Austin, Texas, where tex-mex is king. I have had a LOT of really good tex-mex in my life, so I am not new to this type of cuisine, by any means. Using a Unilocal $ 5 deal to get $ 10, me and my dinner companion ventured to Juarez, which is living in obscurity. We were the only diners this Friday evening(6pm, they close at 7). Service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is reasonably priced. What came next was the real treat. The food is AMAZINGLY good. The salsa is spicy, as I like it. The chips were hot from the fryer. After we finished every scrap of the chips and salsa, the entrees were brought out. The fajitas looked«poster perfect», and apparently tasted just as good! I’m vegetarian, so I opted for the Chili Relleno. The owner/chef confirmed that their beans and rice are both vegetarian, so I was able to enjoy this dish fully with no substitutions or distractions. Asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas, I chose one of each for the variety. I was very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of both. Just about fully stuffed and enjoying every bite, I was sad when the plate was empty. I may have to go back in a day or two just to get another«fix» of this amazing cuisine. I’m not a flan fan, but thought I would give it a try, since they did everything else so well. I’m still not moved by this traditional dessert, but it was definitely better than other flan I have had recently. As we were settling our bill and having a bit of a chat with the owner, we were told that the restaurant has been in operation at this location for 10 years. It’s struggling to keep people coming in, as very few people know it’s there. It’s décor is in need of some TLC, and the hours are short — but i can’t blame the owner for feeling down about the situation. I’m motivated to do my part and become a regular. heck, it’s only 10 blocks from my house, so I have no excuse not to return. I love supporting local owner restaurants(especially single locations where the owner is on staff), that are not part of a corporate chain. I can completely forgive the(very) modest furnishings and harsh fluorescent lighting when every bite on the plate is this delicious. Now I just have to spread the word a bit with my friends, so we can do our part to keep it going! It would be terrible if this restaurant closed, due to lack of patronage, because I would miss it. I would miss it terribly! Note on parking: There are about 3 or 4 spots in front along 38th street where parking is freely available. If those spots are taken, try around the corner on the grid of streets, and just walk a block or two. I’d not recommend using the O’Reileys auto parts parking lot, even though it is directly across the street.
