Bad food, worse service. I used to order from here frequently. The tuna in the tuna rolls was very bad quality the last couple times. I called them and asked for my money back, but the manager was rude and argued with me, so I will move my business to Ginza Sushi.

Yum! I have ordered 3 times from this place and haven’t been disappointed yet. The wonton soup is so good! It is definitely not for 2 people though. I finished it all by myself! That’s how good it was.

This restaurant has been tasty in the past. Tonight I ordered an extra spicy pad Thai dish and there was NOSPICEWHATSOEVER. I’m so sad. I have ordered from John Holly in the past but I am probably going to stop.

This review is regarding their delivery service. The food isn’t bad, but it’s certainly not the best in the area, and definitely Not worth it for delivery. This is the 2nd time they have taken over 1.5 hours to get my order out(they state 45 min for delivery). The food arrives cold & took way too long. I won’t be ordering from here again.

We ordered take out from John Holly’s. We ordered the tuna roll, egg roll, miso soup, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, Kushan chicken, black pepper shrimp, and panning tofu. We loved every bite. John Holly’s has a huge menu and we wondered how they could do it all, but we were pleased with what we ordered.

The food is acceptable although expensive for what you get. Their customer service is very poor. If you order from them be aware! They will usually get the order wrong, they will forget a dish or two(although they make good on this although it will make your home dining experience into a 4 hour ordeal). They do not have fortune cookies(a surprise for someone who has always has this as a last course in every Chinese meal since birth). In short, you could easily do better(and a lot cheaper) and avoid the hype of this place. After reading previous reviews(although a little late) I saw all these comments but did not take them seriously. Take them seriously. They do not read these and hence do nothing to fix the issues.

California roll was not good. Very fishy, stinky, and unbalanced. Chicken and vegetable tempura were drenched in grease– wet and soggy.

I don’t know what it was that they brought to my table at lunch today, but it clearly wasn’t pad thai in any recognizable form. No spice, no crunch, no veggies, minimal sauce. I am not a picky eater but it was just too sketchy to eat. I told my server that it was so awful that I couldn’t eat it, and I didn’t want to take it home. She didn’t react, just took the plate away and gave us the bill. So I left John Holly’s Asian Bistro hungry, and with a bad taste in my mouth. Gave it two stars only because hubby had John Holly chicken(essentially spicy sesame chicken) and it was very good.

Decent food but not great. They seem to have a bit of an identity crisis as to what they are because they serve Thai, Chinese, and Japanese food. The hot and sour soup I tried seemed average, and the chow fun was somewhat under seasoned. The portion was large at least so I was able to take some home.

Solid. Coconut chicken curry, pad thai(medium is not spicy at all, go spicy), and egg rolls we’re all very good. Delivery was super quick, which was awesome. John Holly’s wonton soup for two made the entire order worth it. Definitely snag it if you can. Thumbs up for this place.

I truly love the coconut curry here. I get it every time. And the Panang Curry. And the Pad Thai. Actually i like everything on the menu here. I haven’t had a bad dish yet. But I order the coconut curry like 85% of the time.

I love their sushi. Not a fan of location. The parking is a bit of a pain, but the food is great. It’s quick service, the waiters are great, and the food is amazing. Some of the way sushi I’ve had in Colorado. The food is fresh and moist. Very tasty!

Always impressed with the quality of the dishes here. Classic Mandarin and Cantonese all done a notch or two better than we’ve come to expect. Had John Holly Chicken, Orange Beef, Yushan Eggplant and more — all delicious!

Do not confuse this with the one in Park Meadows, the two are wildly different. The sushi was some of the worst I’ve had. I got a caterpillar roll and the seaweed in it was so chewy and hard that I thought maybe something else had been accidentally placed in the roll. Upon examining it it was just old yucky seaweed wrap. I told the waitress about it and she said she’d let the chef know but did nothing else to remedy the situation. Avocado was overripe and mushy, and there was hardly any eel to be found. Kung pao shrimp was decent. Veggie spring roll way too greasy.

****WARNINGDONOTGO**** I usually am the one who wishes anything against anyone but I hope this place gets raided by the Department of Health as well as fire all their wait staff and hire nice, professional people. IFYOUARETHINKINGABOUTCHINESEORSUSHIDONOTGOHERE. See why below: Scenario: Wednesday night around 7pm dinner 1. We ordered 4 rolls. It TOOKFOREVER for the rolls to come out. When they did, they look like a toddler made them. They were falling apart and had WAY too much rice. When I decided a fork was the only way to manage eating them, I was instantly disappointed when I began to eat. SLIMY and EXTREMELYFISHY. It tasted like the fish was from last week and had sat out every day and put in fridge at night for at least 6 – 10 days. I know sushi very well and I can confidently say this is the worst sushi I have ever eaten. On top of everything, when I walked out I was wondering how they stored the sushi grade fish and I was appalled to see the meat sitting in the«cooler» facing the guests all open with FLIESALLOVERTHEM. At this point I refused to pay for the sushi and they told me sorry, too late. 2. We ordered a steamed chicken dish for my GF and Yushan chicken for myself. SODISSAPPOINTED. Again, I am not picky but when both of the CHICKENTASTESLIKEFISH you clearly do not care about the food. The steamed chicken I would have sworn was fish if I wasn’t rudely told by the waitress who clearly hated her job otherwise. 3. Hot and Sour soup was really tasty but came out pretty cold. When I ask them to warm it up the waitress gave me a look like I was being a pain in the butt and took it away. 10 minutes later, soup arrived and it was tasty. 4. The busser was such a nice guy and kept coming to check on us. The waitress, tall, chubby, and had an accent was TERRIBLE. She came and ordered our drinks, and when we tried to order food at the same time she said«I have to check on other tables I will be right back with your drinks and to take your order» Seriously? we knew what we wanted and would have taken 1 minute. Fast forward 60 minutes, drinks have been empty, stomachs hardly full with what was edible, ready to get out of there. She finally comes back and asks if she could get us another drink. WOW maybe after we finished our drink 10 minutes after receiving them yes, but 50 minutes later we see our mysterious waitress? Such a joke. DONOTGOTOTHISRESTAURANT or rather, DUMP

Um yum!!! We ordered Chinese from here tonight and were super impressed! We’ve just moved and were sad that our usual spot doesn’t deliver to us anymore, but we heard good things about John Holly’s. Those were right! My steamed chicken and veggies were tender and the garlic sauce was delicious. The pork spring rolls were crispy and not greasy. The service was fast and friendly. My husband loved his traditional Chinese dish and dumplings too. We definitely have a new go-to Chinese spot!

DONOTPURCHASETHEGROUPON!!! I was extremely disappointed coming here. I got a groupon online and they were so difficult in letting me use it. First time I went in, they said that I could not use the groupon the day I bought it, second time, I could not use it without a «reservation» and could not use it on a weekend as well, so finally the third time I was allowed to use it. not very good customer service in my book. The sushi was alright, nothing extremely special. John Hollys chicken entrée-very plain, nothing really special about this place. I think the reviews are kind of over exaggerating it. the waiter was rude and did not give us good service once we mentioned we had a groupon. Overall, poor customer service left me feeling this place is a total rip-off for mediocre food.

This was our first time here. Everything was wonderful. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere. We just found our new neighborhood sushi spot! The Poison Ivy Roll burst with delightful flavor!

I order from this place a lot. The issue I have is, while the food is always great(which is why I keep ordering), their customer service is subpar. Many times when I order, and typically I always get delivery, they forget an item, most likely an egg roll or something small, and they always just throw my food on the floor while I am signing the receipt. That is my biggest issue — I do not want my food handled like a gym bag. Great food, bad service.

I always look forward to my visits to John Holly’s. Great food and normally great service. Favorites are Singapore noodles, number nine roll and red dragon roll. We ordered for delivery and had some of the favorites. Singapore noodles, number nine roll, spicy tuna, and 6 pieces of yellow tail and salmon sashimi. Everything but the sashimi was fantastic as aways. The sashimi was placed next to lemon and unfortunately that flavor overwhelmed them. Tried the vegetable tempura, which wasn’t a good idea for delivery, I am sure they are much better out of the frier. Overall still very happy with the restaurant.
