This place is great! A little pricey but worth it every time. Plus you can’t beat a place that offers bottomless mimosas! Def my new fav breakfast place!

Yum! This place was so cute and delicious too! I had Eggs Benedict which I have almost every time I go to breakfast and these were scrumptious! My egg was slightly over cooked which was a bummer since that is part of what makes egg b so good is runny yolk and that is why I didn’t give 5 stars. We were with a group of 8 and everyone seemed to enjoy their breakfast! Go early and there isn’t much wait on a Sunday.

I’ve been here tons of times. It’s an okay back up plan. Things to know: 1) You’re going to wait awhile. Bring Jenga and at least one friend to play it with(eating alone is for creeps anyways). 2) You’ll wait more once seated. This is when you bust out the real stuff. Battleship or, for the brave, monopoly. 3) Realize you can only rely on/trust yourself(just like when you were a kid and dad left because of you). There is a 50⁄50 chance you’ll get a server who will let you die if you start choking. On the flip side, half the time they’re super sweet. If they’re mean just continue your game of monopoly. 4) When dark spots appear in your vision from hunger pains it means your food is almost there. 5) Personally I’ve never had a bad food experience here. Just hasn’t been amazing. Donuts are super dry and half taste the same. The rest is just okay. 6) Don’t forget anything the first time around, your server takes your order and then goes home for 2 hours before coming back to drop off the check. You can’t get anything in between. In my mind there are better places to spend your time, money, and stomach. But you’re a strong, independent woman so you make your own choices.

I wanted to love it here … But only came out kind of liking it. Their service was friendly and attentive and the concept was fun, but execution of the food was somewhat lacking. We started brunch with their signature donuts, the regular ones weren’t being offered since there was something wrong with the day’s batter so we opted for the gluten free ones. Flavor of the donut holes dough were great but some of the glazes weren’t as tasty as others. We ordered the special short rib Benedict and the sweet potato hash. The chorizo in the sweet potato hash was very flavorful but the potatoes… Seemed to be steamed and had a mushy consistency which was very disappointing for a hash since I was anticipating slightly crispy potatoes to go with the eggs and chorizo. The Benedict flavor was great but one of the poached eggs were overcooked and the short rib was a little too lean. Overall it would be a place I might consider to duck in again if I’m in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Jelly Café has eye-catching chandelier, neat and clean facility admirable table-chair arrangements and organized settings. They also has welcoming and accommodating staffs who are so professionals and dedicated to their work. They serve you with high quality service and meet your standard satisfaction. Curry Tempeh Hash with Spinach & biscuit maple bacon donut, with egg Benedict and fruit salad side dish paired with a latte! First time to have bacon donut! It was awesome! Had a very deserving meal here! A good spot to dine!

I’ve only been here once but I really liked it! Cool/fun ambience, good vibe, and good food. We started with the combo order of donut holes, which were different and tasty. Then I got the Basic Breakfast with over-medium eggs, rustic potatoes, toast, and the homemade sausage patties. Everything was really good — especially the homemade sausage and the rustic potatoes! All the food tasted home-cooked and not mass-produced. Looking forward to going back and trying it again! Only drawback is that I think it’s always crowded and there’s always a wait. :(

Oh Jelly, how I love you! I don’t know if it’s the amazing coffee, the to-die-for donut holes, or the fun & hip atmosphere, but Jelly Café is for sure a breakfast diner’s dream. If you check-in on Unilocal you get a free coffee, and dining on your birthday? You get 4 free donut holes – what’s not to love?! Like everywhere else, there will definitely be a wait on the weekends but it is totally worth it. The friendly staff and the delicious food will definitely keep you coming back. Menu highlights: My favorite thing to order at Jelly(besides the donut holes), is the Sweet Potato Hash which includes Mexican chorizo, onion, celery, roasted poblano pepper, red potato and sweet potato. I sub out the chorizo for chicken sausage but otherwise this hash is so refreshing & delectable; the veggies are always fresh and perfectly cooked. Not to mention, you get a delicious, fresh-baked biscuit on the side with one of their famous home-made JELLIES. Yum! Items you should order: Donut holes, Reuben Sandwich, Biscuits & Gravy, Cinnamon Roll Pancake

I met a couple clients here for an early breakfast. I started with a latte, disappointing. The beans were bitter, the latte was luke warm. They then served me someone else’s food by mistake. They were nice about it, just a little disorganized as a whole. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, on the waitress’s recommendation. It was disappointing, very bland and the biscuits were very heavy and doughy. No butter, or richness to make them taste good, sorry! It was served with fried potatoes that were luke warm at best. Yes, I like my food served hot and fresh, just didn’t get that vibe… Many other places in the area, so I would elect a different spot for my next breakfast in town.

This is a really cute breakfast place. I really enjoyed the atmosphere(pastel colored decorations throughout the restaurant were something that caught my attention). I went there with my date for a quick bite to eat around 9:30am on a Sunday. It was already busy with families, college students etc. Since I wanted something light I ordered a single buttermilk pancake and two eggs(scrambled) and both of them were decent. My date, however, was not too keen about his southern biscuit and gravy. He is from south and knows the real southern style biscuit and gravy so to him, the gravy tasted a little bland. He said it should be more greasy. Overall though, I enjoyed Jelly’s. The service is good with friendly staff. I’ll definitely go back.

OMG, bacon chunks mixed into the pancakes. Serioiusly? Stop there, go no further… OK well, there is more. This is diner style all the way yet very cool atmosphere. Service staff are off the charts fun and excellent. Do not pass this place without stopping in and answering the call for comfort food. Prices are $-$$ yet food is awesome 4 – 5 star.

@jellycafe — an apt name for a place of breakfast. It was busy for a Thursday morning. College crowd. There was a cacophony of laughter and conversation, a din morning feasting can only create. I was seated. I had a hankering for biscuits and gravy. And a side of bacon. The wait staff was super friendly, referring to me kindly as ‘my friend’ and ‘boss.” My order placed, I soaked up the ambience. The black house coffee was strong. I was pleased. I was also existing in a state of weakness hunger. As a proud member of the Biscuits and Gravy Society I was drooling with anticipation of the arrival my breakfast. The hip college crowd spoke of things I understood. Dropping eaves into conversations I learned of manscaping beards, roadtrips, class ditching and loves of bacon and sausage. Breakfast brings us all together. A shot of Irish Cream, Bailey’s Original, can be added to coffee proudly of the Colorado Coffee Merchants Cabin blend. Classic beverages such as White Russian and Bloody Mary are available. Now to the food. The Biscuits and Gravy were quite good. The biscuits were fluffy homemade. The gravy was made with care, not typical, which was refreshing. I tasted sage. And there was a bay leaf in there. The home fry potatoes had a dollop of sour cream. I was impressed. Very impressed. I shall return. You should also. You’ll be glad you did.

such a cool location and environment. my food was exceptional. I had the veggie benedict… i’m not a vegetarian at all. perhaps just going through a phase. at any rate it was incredible. took my daughter here for her birthday breakfast. we headed towards snooze and even went so far as to drive into the parking lot. it has been our go to place for breakfast since moving to denver a couple years ago. but on the drive there i mentioned there was a place called Jelly café I wanted to try but it was farther away. fortunately my daughter was intrigued by the name and suggested we try it. t was a saturday morning so, yes, we did have to wait 30 or 40 minutes but it was worth it and I will definitely bring my wife back to try the veggie benedict among other things. tried several benedicts at Snooze and they never really delivered in size and quality. to exotic or something? Oh, and try the donut holes. ha, such a surprise hit. we took a dozen to-go with intentions of sharing them with my sons when we got home. once we got started on them though we were in serious trouble. took incredible self control to shut that box and tuck the few remaining away.

Delicious food. Way better than Snooze, with a real diner-esque feel. The donuts are so good and a fun treat. They do make mistakes sometimes, as any kitchen that is pumping out this much food would, but they are always very kind to make it right and take things off the bill. Best biscuts and jam. OMG. Order the french toast! Don’t be mad about a long wait. Servers and restaurants have basically no control over how long it takes people to eat, and since it’s a breakfast place, people aren’t generally in a hurry to get anywhere… so yeah, people take longer. It’s worth the wait though, and the hosts have always been super nice to me and my friends. Not a great place for large groups, but 2 – 4 people would be best.

I will drive to snooze instead of going to this place, even though this is literally only 4 blocks from my house. Why? Well, I can only speak from the perspective of the gluten-free items, but here we go… The donut holes: while it’s appreciated by celiacs worldwide that restaurants are making an effort with the gluten free thing, I don’t understand why they don’t dedicate a separate fryer. It makes the entire gluten free aspect literally worthless for a celiac sufferer. Case in point: I was miserably ill all day after eating a few. Which would have been one thing had they been worth it; however, they were doughy little gummy balls, dabbed with a tiny bit of topping that wasn’t enough to mask the strange flavor. Boo. The basic breakfast: you redeemed yourself with the many options you provide, and many are made GF with a substitute of gluten free bread. The GF bread used here had some kind of seeds in it and was pretty tasty. My eggs were perfect and the potatoes are good, not deep fried, and well seasoned. The cinnamon roll pancake: this is where, if you are a Snooze pancake fan, Jelly will fall short. First of all, they charge extra for GF pancakes(snooze does not). The cream cheese frosting on top needed to be more pourable; as it was it was sticky and dry. The pancake itself was also dry(I had to drink my entire water glass to get it down), and their options are extremely limited in comparison to snooze. In conclusion, I guess this place is fine if you want a good basic breakfast with a long wait in a kitschy environment, but I would NOT recommend the gluten free items. Sorry Jelly, Snooze wins this round for this gal.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here so I thought I’d build on my previous review. I had the Mexi Scramble(dish of the day) and it was so interesting, unique, and tasty that I was tempted to ask for another order. However, we opted for the donut bites, which were quite fantastic this time– super fresh, soft, hot, and delicious. I might be biased but the crème anglaise were amazing followed by the jelly filled. Honestly, I could have just done plain, if that were an option!

Jelly is one of my favorite breakfast places in Denver! Bottomless mimosas, and goodness their Bloody Mary’s are awesome. I also tried the eggs Benedict– so good! Snooze is great, but I highly recommend Jelly. Less crowded, and more bang for your buck!

I stopped in around 11am on a Saturday with a few girlfriends and waited around 35 minutes for a table. We started off with some donut bites. I had the Mexican chocolate and Thai peanut. The Thai peanut was weird and the Mexican chocolate just tasted like chocolate. The donut bites were actually really doughy… It tasted like flour – not light and fluffy like donuts should be. I had the harvest hash and was really disappointed when it came out because the vegetables were chopped into little pieces, which made me feel like I was eating dog food. Then, when I took a bite, it actually tasted like dog food. Everything was oily and there was no flavor whatsoever. The jelly that came with my toast was the only thing that tasted good. I tried my sister’s basic breakfast and the potatoes were pretty good. Her pancake was disgusting. It had the same consistency as those pancakes you heat up in the microwave. Service was okay. Pretty friendly, but kind of slow. Interior and menu design were cute, but not cute enough to make me like this place. So, would I come back to send $ 9 on bland, chopped up, root vegetables? To put it simply, no. Oh, a note: they have a fair amount of vegetarian options, but they all kinda sorta stink.

This is my first visit to the DU location. Back in my bachelor days, I spent many boozy brunch Saturdays at the Cap Hill location. Their food is great for all your breakfast needs in a hip ambience. Be prepared to wait at least 30 mins if you go before 10 and over an hr past 11. That’s how it goes. They are known for their in house made jelly as well as old school cereal memorabilia. They have gluten free bread which opens up the possibilities for improvisation with things like sandwiches, their sliders(personal fave) AND they even have GLUTENFREEDONUTHOLES. I thought that was pretty incredible.

I stopped in to pick up something to go. The service is FAST and I even got a free cup of black coffee to wait. I don’t think that is standard, he could probably see I was having the type of morning that needed a free coffee. Either way, I appreciated how thoughtful it was. The décor is lovely and I found 7 scrabble words while I waited at the counter! The breakfast sliders were PERFECT. The potatoes with the chives and sour cream were delicious. I will absolutely be back. This is the kind of place that truly cares about their customers!
