One of downtown Denver’s best lunch options with a fresh, healthy well stocked salad bar for under $ 10. Add a cup of soup for a dollar more. The half sandwich and«side salad bar» — single trip with slightly a smaller plate, at about $ 11, was enough to fill me and take the salad to go for dinner. Next time I will check out the other options for a healthier side to substitute for the pile of chips that accompany the sandwich. Their quality. freshness, and prices are competitive with downtown Denver’s other gourmet salad restaurants, while their selective far exceeds other restaurant’s 4 — 5 condiments on a bed of greens with a surcharge additional, small portions of condiments. The free ice cream is also a plus. The manager responded promptly and well to an online survey concern I expressed yesterday regarding available substitution options. He had already advised his cashier to offer these options. For $ 1 — $ 2 more enjoy a substitution of(among other selecions) fresh fruit, steamed veggies, or a cup of soup.

Let me preface this by saying, the food is delicious, but the attitude and service of the employees needs some major help. A couple of my coworkers and I decided to come here during our lunch hour on a Wednesday. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too packed, and the line to order was relatively short. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by this awful stench that lingered through pretty much the entire restaurant. I’ve been to this location before, and I’ve never smelt anything like that in my previous visits. It was absolutely disgusting. After deciding on what to order, we walked up in line. There were two people working the registers. I walked up to one of them as they became available to place my order. I didn’t receive any kind of greeting from the person at my register and he looked at me with kind of a blank empty stare. I totally understand being tired, but at least acknowledge your patrons with a greeting. In addition to no greeting, I had to ask for a drink as the cashier did not offer one(or any add ons), nor did he even give me the cup when I specifically asked for a to go cup. I had to walk back up to the counter and ask for one. My coworkers who were with me had a similar experience at the registers. When we received our food, it was delicious, and I throughly enjoyed the Papa Joe sandwich I picked, but I didn’t appreciate the employees hovering to pick up plates. I was asked several times if I was done with my sandwich, when it was very apparent I wasn’t. It felt like they were kind of trying to rush us out the door, and we were eating fairly quickly. Overall, the service needs some serious work, and whatever that awful smell lingering around the restaurant was needs to be addressed.

Nope, didn’t do it for me. It was super busy, apparently there was a convention in town. Service was kind of fast, but like I was a bother. I’d never been here before so I needed to look at a menu. I ordered a build your own veggie sandwich with some New Orleans roll that was so dry it crumbled and fell apart. The leaf lettuce was just bulky and in the way and didn’t accentuate my sandwich. Chips came with the meal and not what I would have chosen, but they were decent. I paid $ 10 and walked over a mile to be disappointed. I have one closer to my house, but I’m not sure I can get myself to go back and give it another try.

What a fast, efficient, and convenient restaurant! I visited Jason’s while in town for work. Despite a lunch rush, there was plenty of seating for groups and the service was great! I had the Manager’s Special($ 9.49), specifically a half sandwich and a bowl of soup. I chose the California Club. What made this club sandwich special was that it was made with a croissant! The buttery flaky goodness added great flavor to the classic club. The chicken pot pie soup was delicious and fun to eat! The soup was basically a take on the home style goodness you experience in a classic chicken pot pie filling. The soup was creamy, filled with hearty and tender chicken and veggies, and seasoned well. Instead of the buttery flaky crust you expect from the pie, the soup is topped a yummy pillow of pastry. It was a a nice compliment to the creamy soup. Next time I’m in town again, I’d definitely come back to Jason’s for a quick and filling lunch!

So it’s a chain… So what? They give complimentary ice cream! That is the sole compliment to the lunch that keeps me coming back. We’re not talking about a free cup of ice cream. We’re talking unlimited access to the chocolate and vanilla swirl made popular in Orange is the New Black! Aside to that, the sandwiches are actually pretty great! I had the Salmonwhich today… It was spectacular. You can choose chips, fruit, or vegetables for your side. I never get the chips… The fruit and vegetables are both spectacular! Come check it out for lunch, that’s the only time they’re open…

Food was average. The best thing I had was the tomato basil soup. They messed up my order for take out which was frustrating because I had to go back. The alfredo was good but the chicken in it was clearly frozen before becuase you could taste that on it.

The food is good. The attitude is poor. I called at 1 to ask if I could place an order for a few boxed lunches. The response? «Well we close at 3» You don’t say? You can’t make two salads & a sandwich in two hours? Rude. I ordered anyway since my coworkers specifically requested this place. I wasn’t disappointed in the food — just the snotty service I got. I personally won’t be returning but my fellow Unilocalers might get a different experience.

I’m very happy that I work close to this place. The location is great, the place is clean and the service is always quick and friendly. Big portions & I love the free ice cream :)! Even at lunch rush hour things move quickly so you’re able to enjoy a comfortable lunch on a work lunch break.

Had the nutty mixed-up salad and it was surprisingly decent. Not bad for a place like Jason’s!

This was my first visit to Jason’s Deli and wow! Really good! I ordered the ½ beef eater and fruit. The sandwich was delicious and the fruit fresh. Great customer service and the manager came by to check on us as soon as our food came out. Top it off with free ice cream cones and I will definitely be returning!

Nice big Jason’s right off the 16th Street Mall near California. Huge seating area, clean and bright. Your basic Jason’s set up. They get really busy, so order online and pick up or be ready for a line. I love the California Club. Plus they have more options that just chips as a side. I personally like to go for the fruit. It is a chain, but a good one!

This has become my new after class lunch spot. The food is always fresh and warm, unlike some other delis I’ve reviewed. The half sandwich with soup is the perfect lunch combo, and how can you go wrong with free ice cream?

California club was so good I went back the next day for a repeat. Veggies were steamed to perfection. Incredibly fast service in an amazingly clean, friendly environment. FREE soft ice cream and muffins for dessert, but who had room after the huge portions?

You can’t get any better of a place with the salad bar and those darn gingerbread muffins. I go there at least 2x when I am in Denver.

The downside to Jason’s Deli Downtown… it’s only open till 3pm during the weekdays! Boo! Be open later… or on weekends please. The bf and I made it over finally on a rare Friday afternoon when we’re both Downtown at that time. It was packed! But the line moved pretty fast and the space was much larger than I had expected. Clearly they have efficiency down. I ordered the California Croissant and the bf got the large Plain Jane baked potato. Once we took our number we noticed the salad bar and free ice cream in the corner! Plus free drinks! As we walked by the salad bar we noticed it even said complimentary muffins and garlic bread. The bf was pleased, as was I. Our food didn’t take too long and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The croissant was flaky and had good guacamole. The Croissant was my favorite part, but also the pasta salad that was refillable and the free ice cream. The Plain Jane potato was huge… I honestly can’t believe potatoes get that big. The only downside of the potato is that it’s so huge the cheese and sour cream disappear quickly and you need more toppings for that monster. So we only finished half of it. Also, I of course totally made room for a little free ice cream at the end. It was the perfect tasty ending to the meal. For 16 bucks for both of us to try a little of everything, it can’t be beat.

This place is insane during lunch. I love the menu however and the way to order, etc. I really enjoyed the California Club which is turkey, Swiss, tomato, avocado, and lettuce on a toasted croissant. A side of fruit completed this tasty lunch that I very much enjoyed. It could be cleaner but otherwise I like the location and of course the menu!

Man O’ Man do I love this place. I’ve had many many things on the menu and have never had anything bad or disappointing. In fact, it’s all pretty dang delicious. There’s not too many surprises in selections, but the price is decent and well worth it for the quality of the noms.

Jason’s Deli isn’t fancy, but it is busy. Located near the convention center in downtown Denver, Jason’s specializes in sandwiches of all shapes and sizes. It was so good, I ate their sammies twice in one week. The king is the grilled Ham Muffaletta sandwich. It’s circular in shape thanks to New Orleans Muffaletta Bread and gigantic enough to feed 2 – 4 people. Luckily, you can order ½ or even ¼ if that’s all you need. The full muffaleta is a whopping 3200 calories thanks to loads of Ham, Salami, Provolone Cheese, and a house Olive Mix. I’m not a big fan of olives, but this mix isn’t too tangy and the thick bread and meat really tasted hearty together. A Turkey version will save you 200 calories. Either way, plan to share or you’ll end up sporting a muffaletta around the waist. I also tried a Reuben THE Great sandwich. Jason’s shouts«THE» in the sandwich title with great confidence. It comes on Grilled Rye Bread, but I opted for Sourdough and was happy with flavor of the Hot Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, and Russian Dressing. It may not be THE Greatest Reuben of all-time, but it was satisfying. I’d get it again if I wasn’t feeling adventuresome to try one of many others on the menu. For lunch, the line to order was about 10 – 15 minutes. After paying, you grab your drink and a table to wait for a runner to bring your sandwich. It’s a food court atmosphere and several people were getting orders to go. If you are looking for a sandwich shop in downtown Denver that delivers a diverse array of delicious deli favorites, Jason’s Deli is a popular choice that will satisfy locals and travelers alike.

I’ve been wanting to try out Jason’s Deli for a long time now since I knew it was down on 16th some where. Finally a day came and I said to myself, today is a Jason’s Deli day, and off I went. A large menu was waiting for me inside, it took me more than a minute to peruse the entire thing and make an executive decision. As I’m trying to live a little healthier these days(thanks to a fellow Unilocaler, name sealed for the moment) I decided on the Turkey Wrap with guacamole, ranch I think and a bunch of veggies. Instead of chips or a side equally not healthy I decided on the steamed veggies. Imaging my surprise when they were actually pretty good veggies, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini — yummy and perfectly plastic fork tender. The wrap was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but the flavor of each ingredient was there and very fresh. Oh, by the way it wasn’t iceberg lettuce, in fact it was spring mix, with some arugula and spinach — that was a delicious surprise. I also here they do free soft serve ice cream if you buy anything, now that’s an incentive on hot days like this. Jason’s Deli will definitely be on the downtown lunch rotation for me, especially with all the healthy and veggie options they have going.
