Charcuterie is so good. I’ve sampled salumi from coast to coast, and this was delicious. More. Thank you for crafting the delicious.

I feel like such an outcast being the only one that didn’t like this place but honesty is best. I didn’t think it was that great. I ordered two things, the bacon and the kielbasa. I’m not going to act like I’m an expert on cured meats, but everyone loves bacon. So the first bite of the bacon sandwich lived up to the hype, but that’s where it all went downhill. I didn’t like the kielbasa, it was a bit bitter for my taste. I didn’t like either of the sides(pork cassoulet or the lentil salad). The cassoulet tasted too fatty for me and I just wasn’t a fan of the salad, a little too much of a nutty taste. I know businesses are always curious why you don’t like their food and that is my reasoning. It’s actually a bit of a shame because I do believe their customer service is great, their quality of product is outstanding, they have a good business model and their pricing seems very fair. I hate using this word but the menu was quite pretentious in my opinion. I think it tends to lean more on the central/eastern Europe palate than an American one(especially since my east European colleague loved everything about it).

My husband and I stopped in for the first time today. He had the Hoggie and I had the Bacon. Sooo good! I usually don’t get excited about sandwiches, but these were outstanding! We will be going back for sure!

Wonderful. Everyone was extremely accommodating and full of knowledge. Everything thing is from Colorado. Even one of the piggy farmers they buy from was in there(because of the stock show). The meat is cured in house. The bread is beautiful and crusty. The S.O. had The Hoggie with pork belly, lots of meat and the pork belly was crispy and warm, soooo good. I had the Waldorf, very unique, the apple rings and crispy chicken skin made it! I got chocolate bacon made there, it was excellent dark chocolate with crispy(Yes my review has a lot of crispy: P) pieces of bacon in it. I also took home some bacon, $ 11 per lb and I am excited to try it for breakfast tomorrow! I am so very happy I found this place! Thank you to everyone in there for sharing your knowledge of the food there and for supporting local farms and businesses, you guys rock! Seriously.

Delicious gem of a lunch spot! I think finding a good casual lunch spot in Denver with amazing food is a challenge. Had the Waldorf Chicken Salad and Porato leek soup, woah and woah! Huge sandwich could only eat half, but definitely something i will come back for– so many unique flavors! Soup was fantastic! Added to my favorites and will return frequently spots.

We had lunch here for the first time, after having bought some marvelous bison pastrami and pork rillette. My wife had the Kielbasa sandwich, which came with fried onions and cabbage and a bowl of cassoulet soup. Everything on the plate was delicious. I bought a summer sausage, more bison pastrami and a piece of head cheese. All three were as good as I have had anywhere in the world, and the head cheese was the best I have ever had by quite a bit. I am unrestrainedly enthusiastic about this shop. It does not get any better, and the prices are quite reasonable.

I recently moved just down the street from Il Porcellino and have been in a couple times. Their sandwiches are really inventive, fresh, and most importantly, delicious. But what really shines for me is their bacon. WOW! I bought a half pound and wish I’d bought more. The bacon is a little smokey but mostly has a cured meat taste, like salami. It is out of this world! I highly recommend spending the dough and getting some of their bacon to take home. You won’t regret it!

Omg, amazing food! And, here is the kicker-I am pondering go vegetarian, but for now I try to choose meat from animals that were raised like they were meant to be and this place sources from Colorado pig farmers that do just that. My husband and I were so happy about that that we are getting our Thanksgiving ham from here! Aside from the local meats, jams, and popcorn, you can also have yourself a delicious sandwich, soup, or salad. We split The Bison, which is bison pastrami on rye toast with house kraut, Swiss fondue, and reveille dressing… it was so warm, gooey, and decadent! We also split the tomato soup which came with a little grilled cheese sandwich bite! For our side, we chose the pickled squash with cranberries and nuts. So delicious. So awesome! Their place is quaint and farmhouse-y. The guys that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up leaving with two slices of scrapple which is the leftovers of meat mixed with cornmeal, onions, spices, and broth. I can’t say enough about this place and how good the food is!

The name fits, I felt like a pig here, as I wanted to scarf down more of the yumminess that abounds here. I went with the bison take on a reuben. The bread was perfect, the slaw perfect, and so much bison meat, I should have saved half for lunch tomorrow… oink oink… I did NOT! I was reminded of the quaint neighborhood Salumeria Camilla and I found in the neighborhood we stayed close to piazza de Popolo. My sandwich, while pricey, came with a side… made in the shop. Some greens to try to legitimize the amount of bison I ate. The guys that run this place are top notch! And this place was well worth the wait! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Wow! Had our first sandwiches here today and they were excellent. My husband and I split the Bison Reuben and The Wook. So good that we savored every bite. I’ve lived in Denver/Boulder for almost 30 years and these were some of the best sandwiches ever enjoyed in this area. Sides of cassoulet and kale salad were tasty too. We are both looking forward to trying more items on the menu and from the meat/cheese counter.

Stopped in to pick up bacon and andouille sausage for a dinner recipe and holy hell, both were terrific. I will be stopping into the«sitting pig» as My wife and I call it– every chance I get. The only reason I didn’t go 5-star is I haven’t tried more of their meats or sandwiches yet. So far– on a small sample size– I am very impressed.

All of the products are local, Colorado sourced, including many jams, jellies and sauces. All of the meats are cured using all natural ingredients. We sampled and bought the summer sausage. We also ordered the Bolder Boulder bird sandwich and the Colorado Salad. Yummy!

24DEC2015 Bacon! Delicious, glorious bacon. Very light smokey taste. A huge punch of pork taste. 06DEC2014 Thumper paté. This is rabbit prepared to perfection. Came home and put it on Melba toast and enjoyed it with a Finkel & Garf( ) cream ale. 22OCT2015 OMG!!! Rillette. Pig butter. Slightly smokey and sweet. This is the best I have ever had. Went home and enjoyed with a Verdejo from España. 02OCT2015 Today was unveiling day. So exciting. Who doesn’t love tasty cured pig cut into slices? A strong emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. I look forward to spending money here.
