Food is bomb. But god damn they have the worst hours of any restaurant I have ever frequented. Never have I walked up to a locked door so many times. Strange. Get it together!

I used to work in sushi bar for years As a sushi chef. I’ve been to many Japanese restaurants in downtown Denver. I didn’t find any good one until I had dinner at ifish last Sunday night. The sashimi plate it’s authentic. The fishes are very fresh cut in very appropriate sizes with professional presentation. Even the wasabi and gingers put on the side it’s so artistically neat! The service is awesome. I can feel the owner has lot of love to run this restaurant to make everyone a happy Quality time!

We have our traditional«Sushi Sunday» here and it’s always been consistently good. Service is a hit or miss. But you cannot beat the Happy Hour prices! Chill atmosphere, nothing fancy. Few screens showing the games. Recommend!

They have a great happy hour here. They were running a special when we went, if it was below 32 degrees, it was HH! Pretty sweet deal. Many of their rolls, drinks and apps are on HH. The sushi was pretty good in my opinion. I tried the #7 and I liked it. I also ordered the lettuce wraps which I found a tad disappointing because it was almost entirely chestnuts and carrots, there were several tiny chunks of chicken sprinkled about. The flavor was also pretty mediocre. A little like sweet soy sauce. I didn’t like it much.

My favorite sushi place in Denver. Try the chicken fried rice and the nigiri sushi! Freshest fish I’ve had at a sushi place!

I’m giving 3 stars but let me say that the food is amazing .5 stars for the food and specials! I however would not recommend a group event at iFish. My experience was great with the service and food but the kitchen blew it as far as getting food out for our group of 20. Sushi came out last and other people were already done eating … They will not split the bill up by person and unfortunately in a large group like this that is very difficult. They are worried about people walking on the bill if they split things up … I think there policy definitely needs revising. The issues we had with our bill were ongoing… Same item charged two different prices, refunding people’s cards who already paid and left… And then asking us to pay for that… No way! Just a cluster. They ultimately made it right however between the food being super super slow and the bill it was just ridiculous. I will be back just not with more than a couple people. Which is a shame bc there back room is awesome!

I have been coming here for over a year and the service and food are incredible. Emily and Josh are amazing bartenders along with Danielle and Lisa as amazing servers. Prices are low, quality is high, location is great, and friendly staff. What more could one ask?! CHECKITOUT

The happy hour here is incredible! The sushi is very good, it’s an added bonus that it is so cheap. The staff is friendly and I’ve always had good service. The spicy yellowtail and rainbow rolls are my favorites.

Gave this place a second chance after a not so great experience and we enjoyed bottomless saki for $ 5 each and each of our meals were pretty good as well. Overall I would go back if I was in the area and in the mood for Japanese but the sushi takes a long time so if you’re in rush order something else.

We visited iFish with a group of friends on a Monday night, which is the happy hour day with excellent sushi deals. We have been to iFish plenty of times before, on Monday nights, but this time was much different than the rest. We understood that it was a ‘busier’ night than normal and that we had an 8-top, but neither of those are excuses for the sushi taking an hour to get to our table after ordering or the manager treating us terribly from start to finish. First things first, the sushi is usually EXCELLENT here, but our favorite roll ‘The Orgasm’ came out cold and they are supposed to be warm. It makes all the difference in the taste of this roll, because we get it every single time we go to iFish. This time it was awful and honestly, not well made either. All of the sushi our entire group ordered seemed pretty poorly made on this night. Most importantly, the manager(Female-Blonde) wasn’t very accommodating at all. When we arrived and told her we had a group of 8, it was like that was going to be a problem. She gave us attitude and acted like we were going to have to deal with it and ‘scrunch’ together at a table made to seat only 6. Luckily, a table close by left shortly after this conversation, and our server took great care of us and put the two tables together. A situation I thought, would have been suggested by the manager from the very get-go. After the sushi took an hour to arrive at our table, I finally decided to get up and express my displeasure. She acted apologetic at first, but then quickly blamed the speed of service on how busy they were. This is no excuse, especially in this restaurant, as they know how busy they get every Monday due to their awesome Happy Hour. She then went on to ask me what she could do to make it better instead of just offering her own to remedy to the situation. At first she wanted me to accept a free dessert… HA for a group of 8 on a terrible experience like that? It was almost insulting and flat out disrespectful. She then realized that that was not pleasing me and that I was not amused, so she said she could take 20% off of the bill, but quickly asked, «Is it all on one check?» When I replied, «No, we have four couples and are paying separately.»(which our server already knew) She immediately countered with, «Okay, well then I can only do 15% off…» which made absolutely NO sense to me at this point, but I was done dealing with this inconsiderate and unapologetic manager so I reluctantly accepted and went back to my table to tell my group what had transpired. All in all, iFish is a fantastic sushi restaurant and this was one bad experience out of a lot MORE very happy and nice dinners we have had there. However, the way the manager handled our situation was very disappointing and makes us think twice about returning. I will say, we have always had a fantastic experience when dealing with a specific server, named Alex, he is incredible! Great sense of humor, always makes sure you are pleased, and never leaves you hanging when you need something. ASK for him if you ever go to iFish! And hopefully, you do not have any sort of issue while dining here. because I can assure you if you have to deal with this particular manager, you will leave displeased as well. Cheers!

The sushi is delicious. Takeout is quick. Prices are high. Presentation? Absolute shit. Why do you use two huge styrofoam boxes for two rolls of sushi? One in each box?

Went here on a Sunday for the all day happy hour. We had 4 rolls between 2 people. The fish was quality and the rolls were delicious. I would skip the spider roll, I’ve had better. I loved the Yakuza, it has lemon in it and it makes the whole roll! We also tried the double down, super fresh. The only complaint I have is that our food took a while. It didn’t seem very busy so this was a little disappointing. Our server was very nice and apologetic about the food taking a while. We noticed in the menu that Wednesdays are ladies night. The rolls that we ordered for happy hour are cheaper for ladies on Wednesdays. So moral of the story, ladies eat here on a Wednesday.

This restaurant left me without any complaints at the end of the night. They waitstaff was professional and personal, the prices matched the quality of the food, and even though the restaurant was closed they let us finish our meal at our own pace.

I-Fish is always fast and always has great service. I’ve been there to sit down and also to get it to go. My favorite is the #7 which has tuna and jalapeños on top. I also really like their Da-Bomb roll. They have a patio on the side if you want to eat outside. Wednesday’s are ladies nights with great specials.

A friend celebrated her birthday here, there was about 8 of us(quadruple date sort of) and we had a reservation. The service was a little slow but the food was good and our waitress was nice and polite but I wouldn’t call her friendly, but she wasn’t mean either, just one of those«I’m here to do my job and gtfo» which I didn’t mind, it’s just something I observed. Kind of a small place for its location but it was not crowded when we went, it was a Sunday afternoon. The food was good, prices were about average so we only got a few rolls per couple. It was mostly your typical sushi and their specialty rolls were«normal specialties». The drinks were strong so I appreciated that, we got a few mules so maybe that had a little to do with it. It is street parking so have fun hunting, we got lucky and somehow most of us parked near each other close to the restaurant. Not sure if I will return to this place considering there are so many other places closer to where I live, if it is convenient for your location, it’s not a bad place to visit.

I have been here before, and on that occasion, I would have put it at 3-stars. On my recent visit, it was definitely a 4-star experience. We were here for happy hour after the Kentucky Derby. The service was very good and the manager even dropped by to make sure we were doing okay. My companions ordered a huge variety of sushi, and drinks, and everything looked excellent. As for myself, I mostly stuck with the fried rice and calamari. This Crunch Calamari is lightly breaded and served in lime aioli and sweet and sour sauce. At first I thought they had over sauced it, because much of the calamari were just«swimming in it»(no pun intended). But, they held up well to the moisture and the aioli was freakin’ delicious. The sweet and sour was also quite tasty. My fried rice was meant to serve me as a post South Denver Beer Festival«beer sponge», and it served this purpose admirably. This was a pretty standard Chicken fried rice with garlic butter, soy sauce, red peppers, carrots and scallions. It had a few too many crunchy bits in it for my preference, but was good nonetheless. Like Shea said in his review(since he summed it up so well), «Not the world’s best sushi, but very tasty at a price that is hard to beat».

iFish is trying to turn things around and they are definitely doing something right. After my terrible experience before, I actually had Mike on the team reach out and offer my party to come back as his guest. The five of us trekked back, reluctantly, and it seemed like the entire crew working knew who we were and our situation. Is this what it’s like to be Kim Kardashian? We were seated quickly even though they were pretty busy. Our waiter, Alex, was fantastic. He was enthusiastic, nice, and went out of his way for us. I mean get this guy a medal! He was the Floyd Mayweather of waiters.(Assuming he wins in Vegas next month) The food, as always, was excellent. I’ve never had bad food here, just bad service. We got 6 rolls, soup, a bowl of chicken teriyaki, a small sashimi plate, and edamame. Everything was great! I really recommend the Charlie roll. It is fantastic! Please note it is a fried, cream cheese-y roll… But I loved it as did my friend across the table. It had a kick to it and was fun to eat. Yum! I should also note if you are of age, try the white sangria! Surprising I know for a sushi joint, but it’s so refreshing and flavorful. I want to thank Mike Garcia, Daniel Merx, and our waiter Alex for your hospitality and effort. Keep up this service and food and you guys will be hard to beat. I look forward to coming back!

Not the best sushi in Denver but it’s always good. They have some of the best happy hour and nightly specials you will ever see. The drinks are actually really good here(try the mojito, it seems weird but it’s tasty). The crazy spicy tuna is amazing if you’re feeling adventurous, it comes out looking like a cake and you eat it in slices. If you like spicy definitely try the heart attack roll, it’s spicy and overall amazing. The staff here is slow but there isn’t ever really a wait and the prices are unbeatable for good sushi in Denver.

While waiting to catch a flight, I decided to have lunch at iFish since I was in the mood for sushi. The inside of this place is quite nice, with the aquatic looking tile on the walls being my favorite part of it all. Our waiter was clueless. He had no idea how to describe anything on the menu. We asked him to tell us about a few of the appetizers we were interested in, and he just shrugged his shoulders. We ended up ordering an array of items. We started off with the i-Tacos, which could have been ok if they weren’t so sweet. The mango was already enough sweetness for these tacos; however, the tacos were ruined with the super sweet sauce they topped them off with. Next, we ordered the i_Fish Sampler. My favorite on this sampler plate were the egg rolls. The wontons and shrimp tempura were all too oily for my liking. Then, we had the Crazy Spicy Tuna which was my favorite. There was so much flavor packed into this creative concoction, and it was just enough for two people before getting tired of eating all of that zest. Overall, it was a nice place to stop to get a bite to eat, but it wasn’t memorable enough to have me ever want to revisit.
