Grandpa Snazzy’s Hardware

Just visited Grandpa Snazzy’s this afternoon and had a delightful visit with the owner — Thaden (son of the late owner Sue). He is funny, knowledgeable, VERY helpful and was a real pleasure to do business with! The store is open now on Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 — 3:00 pm (hope I wrote the hours down right) but they don’t have a working phone right now. The store is still filled with the same incredible array of treasures that existed when Sue was running the store, and as they say — «If they don’t have it, you don’t need it.»

Super friendly! So glad they are open more than just the weekend now– The new hours are great – just stopped in (Wednesday at 330p) and the guy (didn’t catch his name) was super helpful.
I can honestly say that this is the best place to shop for antique hardware in all of Denver– no one else has quite the selection that Snazzy’s does. Furniture keys & locks, hinges, knobs, etc.

We went to this store last weekend to pick out some unique hardware for our home. We worked with a really nice lady for well over an hour picking out our stuff. She was relatively new so she had someone from next door come over to assist with pricing, etc… Well this guy comes over, completely rude and unprofessional. Basically he told us we couldn’t afford the items we were looking at and started putting them away right in front of us. He then proceeded to tell us that anything in a «glass» case was way too expensive and to not even bother looking in them. About ¾ of the store is off limits and items they won’t sell. So what was for sale was a bunch of crap! This guy is as rude as I have ever encountered in the retail business. I would NEVER recommend anyone going to this store as they clearly have no idea of how to treat customers. We walked out after giving him a piece of our mind. I will make sure that anyone considering this store go somewhere else. I do not believe in supporting complete jerks!
