I work down and have tried every Cheese Steak in a 4 mile radius. And without a doubt Frankie’s is the best. Not only that but the best Cheese Steak I have ever had.

Showed up at 5:20 pm which should mean they should have everything stocked for dinner. I ordered a cheesesteak and was promptly told that they only had one type of cheese available. Fine, I guess. I then ordered an 8-piece wing order and was stopped abruptly so she could check if they had any left. She said they only had a 4 piece order left. I said fine. Once she started to cook them, she then told me there were only 3 but I could have them for free. The sandwich was really dry and not very good quality. Not impressed at all…

Bread sucks and the meat I got on my Philly was nasty, I took one bite and all bread second bite and the entire pice of beef came out it was held together buy a long pice of fat. Went straight to the wight trash can next to the register. Never going back not worth your $ 8. The orange fanta was nice and cold A+… I saw the cook wearing a shirt without sleeves gross.

This place seemed like a good bet and turned out to be an expensive mess. Basically, the steak had too much fat left on it, Making it extra chewy. The portion of meat was small as well. Too much bread and little to anything else going on with this sub. I asked for hit wings, they were out. I asked for chili fries, they were out of chili and fries. Geez, all and all the place seems to not be a good value at all

It was a bad idea to go here. I buy a 9 dollar ultimate cheesesteak and it barely has any meat on it. It was basically a toasted bun with a little bit of steak mushrooms and peppers. There was some sort of chewy substance cooked up in my sandwich

This place sucks !!! I’m actually here now. I’m not even finishing this sandwich . One bite and straight to the trash . It’s gross !!! The meat is poor quality. It’s chopped up into tiny pieces. Not at all like a traditional Philly cheese steak sandwich. Don’t waste your money . It’s totally over priced. $ 18 bucks for 2 sandwiches & a drink . I can’t get outa here fast enough !

Bad idea… Stopped in her last night for a mushrroom cheesesteak and some fries. The steak was not the quality you would expect, perhaps round or chuck, very tough cut. The fries tasted of dirty and stale fryer oil/grease. I will not be back. The sign on the window should of been a sign, it stated on 6÷11÷14 they were shut down by the health dept for not having hot water. Wish we would of saw the sign BEFORE we ordered. Do not waste your money or time

One bite and to the trash. Grisly gross steak in a bun that wasn’t even together and stuck To the wrapper. It amazes me in this age of social media a place this terrible can still be open… shocker

Terrible. Possibly the worst sandwich I’ve ever attempted to eat. Just a couple pieces of dry steak-um on a large roll. With the neighborhood developing and legit businesses going in, this place will be out of business in a year. My guess is that they are trying to sell whatever they can before they shut down. They should be prosecuted for what they are passing off as a cheesesteak.

Grisly, dry meat from an unidentified carcass coated with a cheese-food substance and slapped in a week-old bun. Not just a bad sandwich, but a truly disgusting one. The counter lady was so nice to us, but that doesn’t change the fact this place should be shut down.

The WORST cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The bread was huge, stale and split open on both sides so the grisly, cartilage-filled«steak» fell out. There was barely any meat and it was very low quality. The fries fell apart when attempting to eat them and were chalky and cold. They took almost 2 hours to deliver and when the delivery woman came, she had a terrible attitude and was apparently angry because she couldn’t figure out the call box, which is not difficult at all. I’ve never had problems with previous deliveries so she either dialed wrong or not at all. But somehow, that was my fault. No apology for the lateness of the order, she was just mean and stormed away. Nice. A much better option is Cheesesteak Connection, nearby and far superior in both service and quality. I will never go to Frankie’s again. Blech.

I went here on St. Patrick’s Day after the parade to feed a slew of my drunk friends. I had eaten here a plethora of times before, and the food was always mediocre, but consistent. All of that changed my last visit… The guy working the counter took all of our orders and we paid him and we proceeded to wait… FOROVERANHOUR! He neglected to tell us that they had run out of meat, and that his wife had to run to the store to buy more. How the hell could a cheesesteak place run out of steak?!? When I saw his wife walk through the door with more meat and cheese I lost my cool. He had not even alluded to the fact that there was no meat and that our wait time would be long. I demanded that he refund our money because we had been waiting so long and had yet to receive ANY of our food. He refused to refund any of our money($ 60+) so I had to dispute the charge with my bank. His wife was condenscending and rude when she was addressing me about the situation. She just kept saying«well, what do you expect me to do?» to which I replied: «refund my money or go back in time and have the courtesy to let us know that you ran out of food and the wait time will be well over an hour FOR A CHEESESTEAK!.» We left the place disgruntled, hungry and without the money we paid for food we didn’t receive. On the upside, sitting there for over an hour gave me plenty of time to realize that they had a myriad of health code issues, and probably saved me some serious gastrointestinal problems if we would have actually eaten the food!

This was an odd experience. After I ordered, then they informed me, that they were out of bread, and it would be a 10 minute wait. They did give me a free soda. 1. How does a Cheesesteak place that sells only cheesesteaks run out of BREAD? Thats your backbone to business and poor planning. I ordered a Cheesesteak with onions and green peppers. Its cool that they slice the meat right their for your sandwich. But thats where it ends. This wasnt a Cheesesteak. I know a tasty cheesesteak. And this was more like a Steak and Cheese put on a sandwich. And it wasnt even the correct sandwich bread. And the fries were mediocre at best. I can say compared to other reviews. The employees were clean and wore gloves.

What I had? Original Cheesesteak(Sliced steak with American White cheese and grilled onions) Food review: So, right when you walk into this place, I couldn’t help but get pretty excited. As I mention below, the place has this kind of «authentic» feel to it. I got my sandwich and first of all was a little disappointed in the bread. It was kind of reminiscent of a long hot dog bun you could maybe get from King soopers. The important bit, first of all, was that the steak was nice and moist. That above all things can make a cheesteak terrible in a quick hurry. It also was plenty cheesy. The sandwich overall was generally tasty but I couldn’t help to think there’s something was missing. The flavor of the steak was just meh. I think this sandwich could be a bit improved had it a better flavor. Service? Intimidating at first but after a few minutes you could feel the«heart» of the place. :-) Other thoughts: The place does have a more«authentic» feel to it. Granted I’ve never been to Philadelphia but my guess it would feel a little something like this for a cheesesteak place which is neat. Might come back here again. in retrospect I would have liked to have had peppers on my cheesesteak. (Some reviewer said this place was better than Cheesesteak Connection… I believe I strongly disagree with that assessment)

Cute little store front with some delicious food! Basic philly cheese steak, different levels of veggies and cheese and pretty good size! We chatted a bit with the owner and got take out to bring down to the local watering hole down the street. It’s a basic down to earth, limited options type of place! Can’t wait to try the chili cheese fries!
