Best Mediterranean food for the price. Fresh and cooked right in front of you. Mediterranean food is great… this is some of the best I have ever had! They also offer whole wheat pitas!!!

I like this joint. In an area that has a number of ethnic dining options, it’s casual, fast and you get a lot of food for the money. The atmosphere is pretty generic, as you’d expect from a fast-casual place. Is the food the best out there? No. Is it bad? By all means, no — it’s quite good in fact.(more mint lemonade please!) Plus, in this area, it’s right up there for bang for the buck food-wise — in other words a great value if you’re looking to load up on the cheap.

I am new here in the area and I am not familiar with the restaurants here so I being in few falafel places that I sow on the road and honestly I didn’t like them not the food and not the service that I get … Until I check out on Unilocal and I found the falafel King when I get there the service was very good and the food was delicious The falafel just exactly like I love I definitely going to come back again

Great quality, low-cost Greek place in the neighborhood. The pitas, salads, and combinations are all excellent choices. Vegetables and meat seem fresh, and everything is flavorful. Have been here several times since moving here, and I think this will becoming one of my go-to places. Plus the staff are really nice. Highly recommend.

Really like the gyro plate with falafels. Recommend the tabouli, red pepper hummus, gyro, and falafels.

I just love this place — no frills — nothing fancy — just healthy portions and freshly made. Whenever I’m feeling a little Mediterranean, this is place that comes to mind.

Huge portions here — I usually get the 4×6 plate which is four salads and six falafel balls. There is certainly better middle eastern food to be had in the area, though this place is quite fast comparatively. The décor is haphazard, chairs are uncomfortable. The bathroom isn’t very clean. In short, get it to go.

I live in the neighborhood and absolutely love eating here. I have always found the food to be delicious, the service kind, and the restaurant clean. I noticed most of the bad reviews are relatively old, so maybe they’re under new ownership or management. Whatever the reason, I think this place has turned a corner. I give it a high recommendation.

I came here a few weeks ago to get a side of falafel for $ 3– great deal and the falafel tasted great. Therefore, I returned 2 days ago to get an actual meal at Falafel King. I got the gyros plate(gyro meat, salad, 6 falafel, and a pita). I got all the toppings on my salad and chose a wheat pita. Overall, the flavors of everything were good(notably the salad and falafel). The gyro meat was a bit dry and they also gave me the smallest portion. I would hope for a $ 7.99GYROS plate that they would give you more gyro meat, but there was a lot more salad. Should have been called a salad plate. The pita was just okay. Service was good. The guys working at the counter were friendly and I got my food rather quickly. I took it to go. All in all, good for a fast and cheap meal, but I wouldn’t say this is my go to gyro spot. Definitely great falafel though.

Great for a quick, healthy meal! I had the falafel plate with tabbouleh and eggplant and thought it was well-seasoned and tasty.

I stopped here in a time of hungry desperation. I got the falafel pocket pita with the house eggplant as my salad and hot sauce. The pita was overall okay. It was a bit structurally unstable, as it was stuffed to the max with stuff. This along with my fervent hunger prevented me from taking a photo #yelperfail. The falafel was fresh and tasted fine, but I found it to be pretty run of the mill. I think the sandwich could be improved with a warm pita and maybe chunkier falafel. What really made this pita sing were the nice fresh mix of vegetables, the house eggplant, and the hot sauce. The lettuce green mix was peppery and had a great crunch. The house eggplant was a bit messy but amazing in flavor. I savored each chunk of roasted eggplant and wanted more. I also dropped a bunch on me but luckily I wear dark clothes. The hot sauce had an excellent herbal flavor from the Harissa. Overall, it’s not a bad place to grab a quick bite. I would recommend it for a quick lunch in the area.

It’s not bad for fast dining. Enjoyed that they had lemons soaking in the complimentary water. It was fresh too, which was nice. I’m not a expert on what falafel should be like, but this was much more moist than anything I’ve had– big plus. One negative is the restroom smelled like cigarettes. Not sure if it was a guest or someone working there.

I really enjoyed this quick lunch. After coming down off a stomach bug, it was just what the doctor ordered. I had the 6 times 4 falafel plate, boyfriend had a Donir. I liked everything, except the Dolmas, kind of vinegary.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place in terms of quality of food and price of this Boulder-based restaurant. I ordered the plain gyro which came out to be around $ 6 and was a PERFECT portion to fill me up without being overwhelming(READ: carb/grease crash). I must say it contained the BEST tzatziki sauce that I have ever had… nice and tangy! It also came with a pleasant hot sauce inside, and as a New Mexican, «spicy sauce» is practically another food group. I am going to order the sampler plate next time I go in order to try the sides/falafels they have to offer. It was only $ 2 more and my friend ordered it and it offers a lot more food(did I mention I’m a starving student and love getting the most bang for my buck?) Service was good, atmosphere was charming, and quality was great! Good work guys.

This place is delicious! I ordered the falafel plate and I’ve never had such fresh, delicious falafel. The salad was crisp, green and fresh. Tabbouleh was flavorful and also delicious. I also chose hummus as a side, and I wasn’t disappointed. The only thing that I would’ve preferred is if the pita were softer/fresher. But maybe that’s how it was supposed to be. The service was fast and friendly. I’m just visiting Denver, but would definitely eat here again if ever in the area.

Saw that Chipotle was packed, and heard Felafel King was good. So glad I opted for Felafel King. The service was friendly and helpful(nice after a long day at work), and the food was perfect. The generous portions of salad, chicken and hummus were fresh and tasty. Super cool little gem on Colorado Blvd.

Every time we go here my vegetarian child gets to eat! I’m so excited when I get to eat here because everything is made fresh and taste absolutely warm or gooey and delicious. It is not often my family and I can go to a place in all of us be happy but this would be one of them! We know make it a tradition that when we go to Trader Joe’s we go to falafel King. if you were in the mood for Mediterranean whether you’re at the taste of Colorado or on Colorado and eighth avenue you’ve got to go try falafel King it is amazing and delicious and I love the falafel’s there I also love the different types of lemonade. finally you get to sit in environment that is relaxing and allows you to focus on the food and enjoy the people walking by or driving on Colorado Boulevard. It’s a great location and great food.

Ick. Grimy is the best word to describe my first impression. Food did not even register on the likeability scale, especially the wilted tabbouleh salad.

Not a good expereience. We originally were going to the Mexican place next door but after seeing it was closed we decided to try Falafel King. Most of the dishes are about $ 8.99. Its a little pricey compared to other places like this.(Garbanzos) I ordered the Gyro plate which came with salad on the side. The salad was not fresh looking and very iceberg. Put some green lettuce on the plate! The most annoying part about the whole experience is that they weigh your food prior to cooking it. The lady took the gyro out of a silver tin and put it on a scale and from the scale she put it on the grill. Realizing that it weighed a little much she took it off the grill and back into the silver tin. REALLY? If youre gonna weigh food on the line, dont do it where the customers can see you! I would not recommend this place!
