Dependable Cleaners

Shame on me and Shame on Dependable cleaners. I have been getting my shirts cleaned for 15 years in various stores and various states. Recently moved into the area and thought I’d give this chain a try. SHAME on my for not asking, and SHAME on Dependable for not pointing out their pricing…6 dress shirts. $ 30.00!!! Are you kidding me? I could have handled $ 3.00 per shirt, but $ 5.00? How can this store or owner justify this theft, and it is a theft. It was not the poor girls fault serving me, but judging from her reaction to my reaction — this Sticker Shock must go on allot, I will report this practice to the BBB as I did not see any sign of pricing in customer view. Ridiculous, I don’t understand how level headed people will visit and pay this ungodly amount. I’ll go to the locally owned (environmental friendly) cleaners in WP who charges $ 1.25 per shirt — this place is criminal.

Where to begin? As a young, business student, I have several priorities when it comes to laundry. First, do I have time to do it amidst the many hours of homework, clubs and electives I have? Second, will my clothes be clean in time for class and or the fancy event I’m going to? Third, will my clothes be clean, pressed, and look wonderful when I pick them up? Fourth, is the service I’m receiving worth the price I’m paying? Well, on all accounts, I can say yes in regards to Dependable Cleaners. They have always provided me with quality, timely service with spectacular results. For example, in my senior year of high school, I was the lead in the Shakespeare play. I had a wonderful cloak that I was going to use for my costume, however it got stained the final day of dress rehearsals. Panicking, I rushed to the location in University Hills, and they not only cleaned the cloak in time for the performance, but the did so with guarantee next day pick up. That is just one example of the fine service they have provided me. I have returned often for my suits and a few other odds and ends. Their free minor alterations (for small rips and things) has been a godsend to me many times. I know that there are cheaper alternatives, however I am convinced that with their wonderful service, as well as convenient locations, I will be a loyal customer for many years to come!

Tried this location for a couple years and liked the «Executive» program where you can toss your clothes through the chute 24×7. But high pricing and lost items added up. Very friendly service with recall of our names helped, but ultimately we moved on.

I have to write an updated review based on how my negative experience was handled last weekend.
On Monday I had a call for a Dependable Cleaners representative to talk about the issues I had. She touched base about the poor customer service, and then admitted that I was, in fact, over charged for my items. She took my credit card information and refunded the money onto my card.
I was impressed with the way the situation was handled in a quick and professional way!

Expensive and cursory in their work. I was pretty unsatisfied and will look for a new place.

This Owner really means the word «dependable» in her business name. I was heading out of town on a Tuesday on a 6 am flight. On Monday, I wanted to get my pants dry cleaned using their one day service
But THAT morning, I found out Obama had killed OBL and I was all over my computer looking for more news. Pants forgotten. Around 10am I remembered my pants and ran up there and trying to get the «one day service» but I was pretty sure I was too late. I was. The one day cleaning batch had already been taken cleaning facility.
I told the owner about how I became obsessed with the news and how I had to catch a 6am flight to DC. She accepted my pants, drove them up to the facility herself. I offered to pay more, some kind of extra fee. She just smiled and declined and said it was okay.
Now that is «Dependable» and what makes the difference from one chain store to another.
