Such a sketchy place! I went in there tonight and this crazy guy that works there was yelling at customers in some hideous foreign accent. Customer service here is awful and they’re overpriced. If you want better deals check out Argonaut, and they’re much nicer than these dbags. I think the employees name was like Girard or Gehad or something, but if you encounter him he is a total jerk.

As liquor stores go, these guys are OK. Same two dudes in there every single day, open to close, since the day I moved here(as far as I can tell)… never seen one of them alone or anyone else behind the counter. They have a good wine and liquor selection, but they’re markedly more expensive than just up the street. I don’t know where the«Drug» part comes from unless in reference to the surrounding block. They could stand to back off on the wine and dedicate more space for beer; probably would sell quite a lot more and have fewer dusty bottles. Energy drinks and assorted mixer-type things are available(radically overpriced for the area) and cigarettes as well. It’s really just a fine little corner store for anyone looking to grab a nip.

I like beer. Good beer. Don’t hand me a can of «Lite» anything. Just point me in the direction of the closest brewery and I’m a happy camper– I love craft beer and I love exploring all the amazing breweries that Denver has to offer. But you know what else I love? I love a nice, cold 40oz of malt liquor. Before I turned 21 and could fully explore the wonders of the craft beer scene, you would never catch me taking shots of hard liquor. Never. «Wow, how responsible,» you might think… Until you saw me wandering around the Hill in Boulder with 240s of Steel Reserve taped to my hands. Steel Reserve, Olde English, Colt 45, Side Label, Mickey’s: I’m not necessarily proud, but I know my 40s. And this place… Has a great selection of 40s. An entire cooler of 40s. My 19 year old self would’ve been so pleased. My 23 year old self was also pretty pleased. I don’t know how many Unilocalers are in the market for a solid selection of malt liquor but I promise you you’ll find it here. The prices are reasonable and while the rest of their selection is not nearly as impressive, it’s decent if you don’t want to walk the couple extra blocks to Argonaut.

The owners are real nice guys. They are there all day. Good prices on cigarettes. I make a point to buy them there to support this locally owned business.

This place does indeed sell liquor. As promised, it also sells wine and beer as well an odd variety of dust covered sundry objects(read: «groceries»). You’ll have to step out onto the sidewalk and around the corner for the drugs. I’ve never seen so much as Tylenol inside. Also, despite what the signage promises, I wouldn’t bother looking for the greeting cards. They don’t exist. I’ve actually never had any problems with the guys working there — they’ve been quick and courteous every visit. Checking out can be odd, though. If you actually want to purchase any of the dusty snacks, it’s a pain if you want to buy alcohol as well. For some reason there are two separate registers for those items, so you’ll need checked out twice. I recommend always checking expiration dates for anything edible. This place is conveniently located for me. All I’m ever looking for is a 6 pack of beer and the prices are in range for that. If I want to walk a little further, I’m sure I could find better selection for a little more. Overall, it’s a dump and it’s shady as hell, but it sells what I need, nearby, with courtesy and at a reasonable price. Just watch your back. Edit: 11÷1÷12 The store has been re-arranged and there is now one less register. Perhaps the checkout situation is now less complicated? Purchase a dusty snack and some alcohol to find out!
