If you’re in Denver you will notice that there are quite a few dazbog coffee shops. Just like Starbucks too many is never a good sign. The best coffee places have one or two shops, max! Even though I live right next to one I don’t not go here. The coffee taste burnt to me and the specialty drinks are way too sweet(no amount of sugar can help burnt coffee). The green tea taste like dirt. I don’t understand the«Pierogies» because they look like Pirozhkies. You would think a Russian themed place would know the difference between a polish dumpling and a Russian stuffed pastry. The pastries wrapped in plastic are better and not as dry like the ones displayed in the case.

Jilian and Bethany are the best! After a few visits they know my name and what coffee I drink. Always friendly. Thank you ladies!

I like coffee a lot. However, I find myself enjoying their tea more often. Its got a great patio that is not often full. They have great open seating indoors and are pretty friendly inside. Working near this place I come often and enjoy the outside seating.

Someone gave me a 12 ounce bag of WhiteNights espresso beans. I did not have a grinder at home to make an espresso grind so I took the bag into the store. The woman that waited I me gladly ground it for me to my satisfaction with a smile on her face! I waver between Starbucks and Daz Bog, but definitely like the flavor of Daz bog better!

This place is a super low key coffee shoo, awesome selection of teas which is great dice I am a tea drinker! The outside seating is wonderful and there is lots of it… when it didn’t just snow 5 inches! Great service and friendly staff. Mainly«complaint is the pastry selection. There’s lots to choose fro but I have never had anything I thought was that great.

I used to be a regular here, back when they were open until 10pm. It now closes earlier, which is a main reason I go less often. The food is pretty good for the price. The coffee is okay. The best part used to be sitting outside on nice days, but the staff rarely seems to unchain the chairs anymore, at least not in winter.(This has been a very mild winter.) Overall it’s a good spot, though there are many more coffee shops in the area than there used to be, many superior.

Nothing has changed about Dazbog at this location. So why am I upgrading them to 5 stars? Well, settle back with a hot cuppa joe and lemme explain… Last Fall my honey and I went to our first Burning Man. We talked for months about what we were going to do about gifting our fellow Burners. I decided that given my love of coffee I would volunteer at the Center Camp Coffee Shop. The only problem was that while we have an almost-commercial espresso machine at home, it’s not one of those fancy-schmancy machines you see in all the coffee shops. So when I was in the process of filling out my volunteer application I saw that they were really looking for people with professional barrista experience. Not wanting to give up so easily, I decided to ask the owner of the Dazbog where our staff goes every day whether I could volunteer at her shop as a barrista-in-training for the 4 months prior to the festival. Now she’s a sweetheart from China who’s a very hard worker and culturally just couldn’t seem to understand that I wanted to work in her shop for 3 hours in the early morning several times a week for no pay before I had to be at my own workplace so that I could later volunteer to work at another coffee shop while camping in the dessert with 70,000 strangers.(Well, when ya put it that way, I’m not sure I really understand:). Anyway, she ended up letting me do it. And then I ended up getting accepted as a volunteer at the Center Camp shop. But when I worked at Burning Man so many experienced truly professional barristas had already signed up that a newbie like me never got to make lattes. No. I wound up washing dishes for all of my shift(from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m.). Now here’s the kicker that neither you nor I had thought about. .. There you are in the desert. It’s hot. The sand and dust have covered you from head to toe. There are no public showers available. No river for swimming. No lake to frolic in. Turns out there’s no place better to be at Burning Man than soaking yourself for 4 hours in tubs of water, happily singing, rockin’ to the music that never stopped, and washin’ dishes for sometimes butt-naked and very thankful and happy Burners. Hot cha cha. I love it when everything weirdly works out just perfectly. .. and not at all as planned.

I ordered a medium hazelnut latte and was disappointed to find that half the cup was filled with foam. Definitely don’t feel like I got my money’s worth. The barista was nice enough and I appreciated that he offered to warm up my blueberry muffin. But, i’ll probably try another coffee shop next time.

Stopped here after getting some doughnuts and ordered an iced white mocha type thing which is what I typically get at Starbucks. I realized there’s a reason why there isn’t a Dazbog on every corner and that’s because it isn’t very good. My boyfriend took a sip of my coffee and said, «what the hell is this? It’s terrible.» And it was. I don’t know if it was burnt beans or what it was, but I won’t be going back. 2 stars because the baristas were very nice.

It’s a standard coffee shop. They have a nice little patio but the place is forgettable. If you’re looking for a quick coffee, this is a decent place but I wouldn’t make it my regular coffee shop

A medium white russian chai(has vanilla and white chocolate added) is $ 4.15 and has enough sugar to be considered an extra extra extra large coffee. Seriously it is so sweet and saturated I feel like adding a cup of water would still leave it at a level that was too sweet for me. It is extremely concentrated tasting. Their $ 2.50 orange scone is a great size and has a great texture but the scone tastes cheesy. It’s only the orange icing on top that makes it recognizable as an orange scone rather than a cheese scone. One of the two workers who I encountered was friendly and welcoming while the other one was just bored looking. What I do like about this place is that it is less crowded and is much quieter compared to Thump’s. So if you want to get reading/work done I’d recommend coming here(especially for Saturdays when Thump’s and Denver Bicycle Café get really rowdy and loud). There are also plenty of outlets but only about 10 tables. The ground is lopsided therefore so are the tables(something to consider if you have your coffee and laptop right next to each other). They also sell pre-made parfaits, muffins, crossaints, baked sandwiches, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles and gluten free muffin bread that is also found at Stella’s coffee haus. They also offer frozen blended drinks which I am afraid to try based on how sweet my chai tea was.

Stopped by here before heading to the airport. Ordered a hot chocolate and a Pirogi. The hot chocolate was good, didn’t need to add whipped cream it was already pretty thick. Pirogi was like a glorified hot pocket. It was good and it hit the spot. Not many people inside on a Monday afternoon, so me and my 3 friends got good seats. Nice and quiet, would stop by here again.

The four berry smoothie is amazing. Their English Breakfast tea blend is great! Pastries look amazing! Nice place to do some studying or interneting, very quiet location with a nice patio.

This neighborhood is exploding with incredible coffee shops, and this isn’t one of them. Dazbog in general, though local(and that’s cool, sure,) seriously over-roasts their coffee. Check the bean bar – you’ll notice many burned or «tipped» beans in every batch. The machine used here is semi-automatic, and is never serviced and only lightly cleaned. The resulting espresso is burned and bitter. Check out those pastries. They’re often day old(but you’re still charged full price, even on 2 day old days, Sundays.) And who knows long those cakes and brownies have been sitting there?(For a fun time, glance at the thermometer on their pastry case – 68 degrees isn’t a safe temp at which to hold perishables.) But there’s free wifi. And a patio. And for the most part, the baristas are awesome. They can’t help the serious flaws of this place. Instead of this place, opt for Fluid(th’best), Bicycle Café, or St Mark’s… You’ll be happy you did.

This is a fun little coffee shop. There are a few tables and a television. Daz Bog roasts their own coffee for their franchise and have a pretty good dark roast espresso. They are also a wine and beer bar which adds to the ambiance. I have always thought there to be a way to please everyone and this is it. Coffee for me and a beer for wine or a friend at a coffee shop. The bars are not for everyone but coffee shops are more mellow and friendly to a larger group of people. I have just one complaint. They have an annoying dinging sound from their alarm box which is loud and distracting if you are sitting in the back studying. Otherwise they are very good and their advertizing is creative.

Sweet little corner coffee shop in my neighborhood. It’s a bit of a walk but I love that it’s a familiar face in the hood. The coffee is good. The cute servers make me smile. They have tasty sweet treats and delicious breakfast snacks(ie perogi’s…how many coffee shops serve perogi’s?) Wifi…yay! And today I noticed they serve wine and beer, which means now I can cruise by in bewitching hour, not just in the early a.m. I really enjoy having spots like this within walking distance. Great uptown coffee spot! Bike parking. Cute shops adjacent to the location. Restaurants within walking distance if you decide you’d like a meal instead of a croissant. Double Like!

This is where I come to study. And I think I’ve found my new favorite Chai Latte in town. Everything I’ve had here is absolutely delicious. Their coffee is strong, bold tasting, but does not taste like jet fuel like Starbuck’s does. In addition to amazing coffee I also enjoy their pastries and burritos for sale. I come in here and hunker down for hours at a time and they never seem to mind. Nor is it ever crazy much like Hooked on Colfax and St Mark’s always seem to get.

I skipped out on the busy Starbucks down the street for something a little quieter for a blogging and writing stop. I am glad I came in. There was no wait and I had my drink(decaf mocha) very quickly. The drink was hot and yummy. The staff was very friendly. I found a table off to the side and sat undisturbed with my headphones for over an hour writing and reading. I had easy outlet access for my laptop. The cute girl across from me made for good eye candy as I worked too. I imagine she is not always here, but it certainly didn’t hurt my opinion as I wrote the review.

Did you know Dazbog has red velvet cupcakes that are the size of my head? At least this location does. I can’t speak for all the others as I haven’t visited them, but maybe I will make it a personal quest. As far as Dazbog coffee goes I like it better than a lot, but not as much as Pablos’s.(Yes, Pablo’s still has my heart.) This location is a little strange because the place is long and narrow like a rectangle. But, the staff are friendly and you can get these tasty bacon sandwich things so I like it. Just a note — if you use the free Wi-Fi you have to choose the lower case option instead of the all caps option. Otherwise the Internets will not work for you.
