The food is really good. The surroundings not so much. A true local neighborhood hole in the wall dive joint.

Absolutely amazing service and wonderful food. I had them custom make a burger with pastrami, gyro meat and bacon and it was by far the best burger I’ve ever had and trust me when I say, I’ve had a lot of burgers. If you’re from out of town looking for a quick lunch definitely stop in here, if you’re a local looking for a new spot for a quick lunch, do yourself a favor and make this your new spot.

This is a burger joint plain and simple. If your looking for one of the best grease bombs in town this is it. I don’t generally do fast food since other fast places have lousy and/or cold food a especially the fries. Here however I have never received an order of fries anyway but hot and fresh. Order a bacon cheese burger and you get real fresh slabs of bacon not some nuked crap out of the freezer. Its where I go for a real burger

I wish that this place was the quality of the Salt Lake City Crown Burger Chain. It’s close, but not quite there. Its a dumpy location, and a dumpy building, but if you are jonesing for a pastrami topped burger, this is the place in Denver. Don’t let the décor distract you, and give it a shot. I had the Royal Burger with a side of steak fries. Fries could have used to some salt, but otherwise, it hit the spot.

Best breakfast sandwich in town! Definitely recommend it with hash browns inside! Always get friendly service. They use real ingredients not from a box which makes everything taste Amazing! Definitely my favorite breakfast spot. I’ve also tried their breakfast burritos they’re huge better than santiagos

This is THEONLY place our family goes for burgers. The burgers are large, filling, and good quality. They have a wonderful charbroiled flavor and perfect condiments(fresh tomato slice, shredded lettuce, light shredded onion, and yummy sauce like ketchup/mayo mixed). They also have Cherry Coke — a big plus in my book! The Greek family who own & run the place are great, always friendly. And kids get a free chocolate chip cookie to boot… Everybody’s happy!

I love this place! It’s my go-to for dinner with my father, and we come here on average a few times each month. It’s never going to appeal to the white-linen connoisseurs of the world — and therein lies the charm. It’s a burger diner, plain and simple. The Royal Burger is one of the tastiest things to grace my tastebuds. It’s a(not literal) ton of pastrami on top of a burger. It’s delicious and filling. It’s messy. It’s everything I’m looking for in a burger. They also have a gyros special, which is pretty tasty as well. Not quite as fantastic as the Royal is, but if everything there was that awesome, your head would explode from awesomeness overload. In my opinion, exploding heads would take at least a star away from the score. Maybe even two. The fries aren’t fantastic, but when you salt and pepper them and enjoy them with the dip sauce, they are pretty good. Overall, it’s a place well worth a visit.

HOLEINTHEWALLALERT!!! CHARACTERALERT!!! I wandered into Crown Burger one morning after fasting for blood work. Was it the giant painted advertising on the windows that drew me in, or merely the fact I have driven by this place for 20 years and it is still here? Or was it just that I was ravenous??? Not sure, but enter I did. It was a bit of a wait– there was an order for 14 breakfast burritos just before I came in. The place was packed with constructionesque workers, clearly big fans and regular customers. Someone in the back was named George and there was a lot of(fun) yelling going on between George and the customers and his wife manning the register. It was a hoot! Rarely does one see a family business with full dynamics going on! My greek omelette was piping hot, with yummy gyro meet, onions and bell peppers plus special order fries on the side. Yum, Yum, and YUM!

Went there last Friday when they opened at 7am. I ordered 3 bacon and 3 sausage burritos. It takes about 15 minutes, but the burritos are worth it. All made fresh by the owner. Eggs, hash browns, meat and green chili inside.(If you order the green chili option). They are about $ 5.50 each, but they are bigger than a chipotle burrito. A good deal considering a burrito this size will run you close to $ 7 or $ 8. They also offer gyro inside as a meat option. Yes the place is old and dated, but who cares. You don’t go for the ambience. It ain’t Elways or Sushi Den. Just made to order big portion breakfasts. I have ordered the breakfast sandwiches before and they could also feed two people. Can’t comment on lunch or dinner.

I love the double royal burger. You get a lot of food for the cost. The double royal burger is mouthwatering to say the least. I have yet to try the gyros even the reviews are really great. Once again, this family owned place beats any of the chains that I have tried. That is my story and and I am sticking to it!

I went to Crown Burger on a recommendation by a highly respected foodie. I am honestly disappointed. I was told they had some of the best burgers in Denver. Ehhh, not so much. We walked in and I noticed this is a Greek restaurant. Why are they known for their burgers then? I ordered a regular cheeseburger and Brian got the Royal burger with pastrami. The lady at the register(might be the owner) suggested the Royal burger, saying that is what they specialize in. We got the home fries to share and were off and running. My burger was bland. It lacked more than flavor, it didn’t even look appealing. Brian’s Royal burger however, did look enticing and rather large. He loved it and and boy was it messy. The fries were boring as well and needed some seasoning. After realizing this is a Greek restaurant, I will try the gyro next time with a side of baklava. Overall, I was not impressed, but I will go back to try something other than the burgers.

You have to kind of be into roadhouse eats to dig this place. Thankfully I am into that kind of thing, so it’s a good fit for me. In the same tradition as Griff’s or the now defunct Tammy’s, Crown Burger serves up a heaping mess of a burger on a huge sesame seed bun. They are famous for their pastrami burger. Yes, you read that right, pastrami burger. Made to order fast, Crown Burger defines the term«short order cook» with precision. Fries, rings, shakes and soft drinks are all standard. It’s counter service and they call your number when your order is up. They also serve up a decent gyro sandwich. The only warning I would issue is they are a bit heavy on the sauces, in the case of the burger it’s a burger sauce which I think is ketchup, mustard and mayo, so If you like to condiment-ize in a more personal way, I would suggest asking them to hold the sauce. Support small, locally owned businesses, have a Crown Burger today!

I was looking for a bite to eat and found this little place. I ordered their mushroom and Swiss Burger and found it to be quite delicious. The streak fries are flash fried and tasty. The people were hospitable and easy going, found it east to strike up a conversation with them. They know the regulars well enough and I felt at home here. Tasty food, and nice service, I approve!

Since my last review years ago, things have improved dramatically. Great burgers, great fries, and the best breakfast in town for the money.

WARNING This review is not for the faint of heart. Seriously I probably will get a heart attack. The breakfast burrito here is ridiculously amazing! It’s greasy, it’s(chipotle) humongous, and to top it off its splashy. I order the bacon burro with chili inside and every bite was good. The ending was sad and guilty. I feel gluttony and fat. I’ll do it again! $ 5 breakfast burro with chili

I was shocked to stumble on Crown Burgers. I used to eat at Crown Burgers in Salt Lake City and while I would never call it a great restaurant, it is a good burger place. I didn’t even know they had a location in Denver. They are known for their pastrami burger… but I don’t care that much for it. I do like their regular burger and their fries. In Utah they are very well known, have several locations and have even been called the best hamburger in Utah. I think that is stretching it… but they are a very good hole in the wall burger joint.

So when you drive up to Crown Burgers you are instantly greeted with that old school burger joint feeling. Large giant advertisements painted on the windows, and on the inside you’ll see the classic plastic bench seats and raised tables. Step right up to the counter and order your food, grab your ketchup bottle and wait for your number to be called. We ordered 2 burger combos, and a side of onion rings cooked crispy. Total $ 14. 10 minutes later the food was done, my number was called, and we sat down to eat. The burgers are down-right charbroiled greatness complete with the sauce that you would expect from a classic burger joint. Not greasy and cooked just right. The steak fries are flash fried, golden crisp on the outside, and moist and hot on the inside. The fries are definitely not your typical precooked Red Robin fries that have been lying under a heat lamp. There is nothing like freshly cooked steak fries! The onion rings were cooked just right, nice and crispy, yet not overcooked. The breading on the onion rings was just right, not too little and not too much. Overall this place serves great tasty food at a very reasonable price. They serve perfectly sized potions leaving you satisfied and not wanting more. On our way out we even overheard a customer saying«I don’t think I can ever get tired of eating your burgers». Well guess what, I don’t think I will either. I will go back over and over again. Well done Crown Burgers! There is a new«King» in town!
