I’m not super surprised this place hasn’t garnered more reviews, but there is a good reason for that. Well, reason(s): 1) It’s located behind a bus stop on Colfax. As you may know, there are all sorts of characters on the longest business road in America, and having all those characters congregate into one area, one may assume the place may be a front for illegal activities, even when it’s not. 2) The interior is drab and bare. Old appliances and low lighting. Loud humming from refrigerators. You won’t be coming here for the ambiance, that’s for sure. 3) The food is actually fairly edible, but the fact remains that you’re paying by the scoop(which is sketchy enough with the«$ 1.35 per scoop» printed on the outside awning), so don’t expect more than 3 – 5 pieces of meat per scoop. I do enjoy going here and grabbing a cheap $ 5 dinner when I’m feeling extra lazy, but just realize you’ll be getting exactly what you paid for. The interesting crowd is simply a bonus.

Cheap eats and nice portions for 1.00 food is always fresh. Tables and interior kept clean.

A good value for the price, I guess. For less than five bucks, you can grab a good portion for lunch. The drawback is that while I was in there, a steady stream of the, well, ‘living arrangements challenged’ kept streaming in for a bowl of soup. Note: if you order food for sit down, don’t just pop the first piece of sesame chicken into your mouth. Check the temperature first — I burned the crap out of the roof of my mouth!
