Child’s Pastry Shop-Commercial

I was a Child’s customer since the early ‘80s. I shopped at the store at Monaco and Yale. It was, hands down the best bakery in town. The special order birthday cakes were wonderful tasting and decorated beautifully. We ordered my daughter’s wedding cake there. Holiday yule logs were a tradition. In short, the place was incredible. The service and knowledge of the employees was top notch. So then, this brings me to my next question.
WHAT HAPPENED!!!
From the top to the bottom in a short period of time. First the Monaco shop was closed. A small shop was opened on South Colorado with a few of the familiar items for sale. That is where the consistency stops. I ordered over $ 100 in yule logs to find them dried out and and it left me apologizing to the people I gifted with them.
Custom birthday cakes? Dried out and the decorating was sub-​standard. Their unique quality was gone.
The vast selection of desserts was gone never to be seen again. The beautiful decorating was replaced with some kind of spray-​on work. It was disgusting.
The clerks at the small shop are just that… clerks. Gone are the days of service and good food. This is just so sad. How can a business go so wrong after being the best for decades?
Please can somebody tell me what the heck happened here?!? Why would anybody take an excellent business with a good reputation and turn it into a hole in the wall joint?
I would never recommend Child’s again to anyone. I would be sure to share how bad it has gotten, the poor quality, substandard work, and loss of quality control. In short… stay away. Such a shame to see a Denver institution fail, and fail miserably.
If I were the Childs, I would be ashamed to have my name attached to this mess.
HELP: Can anybody tell me where the former bakers/​decorators went… which other bakery please? I wish to start shopping there. These people were too good not to be in demand.

I would avoid this bakery at al costs! Their cakes are not fresh and the service is horrible. So many other places to choose from for a birthday cake.

Picked up two Brownies. This place is great with food artists working inside. Brownies were big moist and delicious. The cupcakes look oh so yummy. A 2 layer cake was in the display. Looked to good to eat but I would of anyway.
