This place is OUTOFBUSINESS. I stopped by today but the store is empty… totally gutted.

In Memoriam Sadly, I went to Card Blanche as I have for very nearly as long as it has been open only to find it apparently closed and empty. Very sad day for Denver, and those of us who have supported THEBEST in Denver. Thanks for the good years, service, and friendship. R.I.P.

I have shopped this store from day one, when they were at 9th Ave in Capitol Hill. For years, it has been my go-to place for greeting cards. Today I had an experience that will change that. I witnessed the owner being rude to a frazzled customer who came in looking to cash in a coupon at a Hallmark Store. After the shop owner was rude to and ignored her, I told the woman where the nearest Hallmark Store is(down by King Soopers U-Hills) That resulted in my being told off by the store owner for sending business elsewhere. First off, the woman was looking for something specific at a Hallmark Store. Whenever someone asks me for help at work I pay it forward and send people to our competitors all the time. When you’re genuinely helpful, you find that it comes back to you eventually. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like being told off by a shopkeeper for talking to someone else in their store. I seriously wanted to downgrade my review to one star, but I’m keeping it at two because this place does have nice things. But with Papyrus at Target and Hallmark at King Soopers, I may just start finding my greeting cards somewhere else from now on.

Best card shop in Denver lets us down big. My wife and I are throwing a dear friend a baby shower. Naturally we chose Card Blanche to provide the invitations, but after purchasing them we found out that our friends sister had made invitations already. My wife went to return the unopened invitations and was refused a refund on the basis that it was a final sale. Would this happen at Papyrus? Card Blanche should have shown us the same loyalty and backing our family has shown their business for years. Take a lesson from a company like Nordstrom and have your customer’s back. Very disappointed and will second guess my next dollar spent at one of my favorite businesses in Denver.

I hold my five star reviews for the ultra fabulous. This place almost gets me there. After reading the reviews on this place I drove the 15 minutes out of my way last night to take a peak. This place is buried in a strip mall and a little hard to spot from the main road. When my GPS says«You’ve arrived» I find myself screaming«WHERE?». Well, this time she told the truth I just couldn’t see the place. Walking in for the first time was glorious as Sam would say. It’s much bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. The store goes all the way back with a plethora of unique and handmade cards. Cards based on hand painting, photography, even some not so PC humor which I appreciate. They also have a nice array of nic nac gift items, some great wrapping paper for all occasions and some other little things that could make great gifts for friends. I could walk around this place for hours opening up each card and laughing out loud at the humor I find on the inside of each new card. I will definitely drive out of my way again to come here and find some truly unique cards for my loved ones. If you’re looking for different you have found it here.

Local card and gift shop — I came here in search of paper products to make bridesmaids cards and was able to find the various sizes of paper and envelopes I needed. Staff is so helpful and friendly — they remember who I am the second and third times I came in. Card Blanche has an extensive collection of cards(greeting, birthday, seasonal, etc) that range from traditional to unique and original. There is something for everyone. They’ve also got great stationary and card sets to give as gifts. There are many paper and novelty gifts throughout the store. #shoplocal

Other than the clever name, Card Blanche has tons of cards, stationary, candles, books, and gifts. I think it’s a bit pricey compared to other card shops but you can surely find just the right little something for your gift giving needs among their unique and wide-ranging selections.

I’m not much for the whole gift/card thing but it’s nice to send your mother a card on her birthday and she always LOVES the cards I pick up here.

I decided to design and print my own graduation invitations since the school’s official distributor is basically robbing people. Anyway, went in looking for some basic but nice card stock with matching envelopes. The nice gentleman at the front directed my right to them and I found exactly what I needed for a very reasonable price. Super friendly and great selection.

Card Blanche used to be located in Capital Hill(across from«the Queen») but moved to University Hills many years ago. They have an excellent selection of cards(even the seedy kind) for all occasions including boxed holiday cards. What’s even better is their selection of very cool gifts and knick-knacks(and I don’t even like knick-knacks)! Great occasion gifts(new baby, wedding etc.) as well as some very unusual pens, leather wallets etc. This is a great place to pick up party«stuff» also. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth checking out.

hosting a shower or party? having a baby? want THE perfect invitation, announcement or card? this is the place to find them. this hidden gem has been around forever and i pray it stays that way. i always find fantastic paper here — whether it’s a card, invite, gift wrapping or little gift. always have fun, unique, classy things to choose from. they carry kate spade and other designer papers, if you’re looking for super high-end stuff. they are old school — no computer inventory system and they have a cash register that prints your reciept, but i never leave empty-handed or disappointed.

You know a paper store is dedicated to its craft when none of the employees have email addresses or use a computer. Still, this can be a pesky problem if you are a customer trying to get a quick turnaround on a proof of an invitation. Their cards and papers are gorgeous, though I’m surprised at some of the cards with bawdy humor they keep toward the back… you never know with those WASPS I guess. Downstairs, the lady who does custom invitations is at first helpful and funny… after ten minutes of her hovering and making a comment on every invitation you look at, it definitely gets old. If you require SUPER customer service however, this may be right up your alley.
