CapRock is located in the center of The Source space but it provides a great way to sit and enjoy some people watching around you. Their cocktails are well balanced and the bartenders are happy to give you a little taste of their spirits if you’re curious. Be adventurous and try something you haven’t had everyday or ask the bartenders for a recommendation based on the types of flavors you prefer!

This is a great little spot in the middle of a great big spot. Despite the Farm name, the vibe is very urban. They have a small, but well composed drink menu, and from what I could tell, only serve spirits, albeit delicious CapRock spirits. I’ve only ever been here with a group, including one that ended up being 14 people. Luckily, the bar is arranged in a way that tables were super easy to pull together to accommodate us. I’m sure it is fun spot for singles or couples too, but a big group feels right in this space, and I would recommend it as a good spot or for a party or event. Oh yes, and the cocktails… They were divine. Go ahead and try the white whisky, Yummzies!

I was a little skeptical about the ingredients/perceived haughtiness of this little bar in the middle of The Source, but my friend talked me into trying it because she vouched for their gin. And, we’re pretty picky gin drinkers. Though the drinks are a little pricey(for me at least), they are definitely made by some amazing bartenders, ahem, drink artists. I got the drink with gin, lemongrass syrup, lime and basil, and it was delightful. The flavors melded together wonderfully, and nothing was too strong– not even the gin. Don’t get me wrong, it packed a punch, but it was the most enjoyable cocktail I’ve had in a long time. We’ll definitely be back for«treat yo-self» cocktails!

Disclaimer: I’m a pretty basic drinker, no-frills and i need to know all the words in the drink description. So honestly this place was not built for me. I was at an event so i’m guessing the menu was re-done to support them. I asked what i could mid with their vodka, something sweet. They suggested a signature cocktail for the night. There was something called a pomegranate scrub… apparently it’s like sugar and pomegranate with a «dash» of vinegar. The drink arrived, pink — yeah good sign, but i took one sip and my palate went — ooooh, where are the marinated mushrooms. So i was hungry for mushrooms all night. Hubby went with something that sounded less harsh — alas it was a really expensive shot in a larger glass. So $ 22 later, then add on tip, our glasses were left to fester on a table as we meandered off to find sustenance and drinks we could drink.(I hated to leave them behind, but it really wasn’t drinkable to me) It’s definitely a story we can tell now, but we’ll just walk past this place and head right to Crooked Stave, much more my style. So go there if you like the hard stuff straight up or with weird stuff that you know what it is!

I like good, strong drinks and I don’t mind waiting while they are being made. I don’t remember the name of my drink but it had egg whites in it. Highly recommend it.

Holy strong drinks Batman! The CapRock Farm Bar makes a menu of innovative cocktails and almost all of them are booze forward, which means, you know, you can really taste the spirits being used. A group of us had a few drinks here the other evening and I would recommend getting the whiskey/ginger one if you like whiskey. They don’t have much in the way of food, just some cheese or salumi and small snackish bites from the shops around, but it is a pleasant enough place to grab a drink if you are waiting for a table at Acorn or just want to pop in for a cocktail. The pricing is inline with other cocktail bars around Denver as is the ability to mix an intoxicating concoction. I’ve long been a fan of Cap Rock gin. I do wish that they’d sell Jack Rabbit wines here too though. Probably a good thing they don’t though. How would they get me to leave if they did?

Good stuff. I was happy to see a CapRock bar, since we enjoy their spirits at home. I was excited to see what a good bartender could do with their product. Drinks weren’t overly fancy. They were balanced and tasty. I even ordered and enjoyed a gin cocktail – and I don’t usually like gin. Special thanks to the folks who bailed on their martinis just before the bar was done making them. The bartender was nice enough to pass them along to us rather than waste them. I returned with the bf, a big CapRock fan, and he enjoyed a flight of their spirits. The peach eau de vie smells wonderful and isn’t as harsh as other eau de vie I’ve tried. My cocktail, with pomegranate and thyme, was delicious. We also tried the beer nuts. These are not your grandpa’s beer nuts, and they are not vegetarian. There’s strong flavor, owing much to fish sauce in the mix, but we both enjoyed them. I brought home a bottle of gin, too, since ours seems to have disappeared…

Ehh — I’d say that of all my experiences at the Source, this was my least favorite. The bartenders are awesome. And they really enjoy their craft. I just wasn’t into the cocktails honestly. The selection was very diverse and I love that, but in three tries, I didn’t find something I’d want to order again. It’s hard to put my finger on why, but the flavors never hit my palette the way I wanted. Still, I’d recommend folks try this place, it’s very cool. It may just not be for me.

Newly opened in The Source, the CapRock Farm Bar is a specialty cocktail bar serving local, farm-to-glass in this case, organic alcoholic beverages. I saw a posting on Facebook for a heirloom bloody mary, and given I am a huge bloody fan and its Sunday, I had to give it a try. Hands down the best bloody I have ever had. The half dozen or so friends of mine who tasted it too gave it a two thumbs up, lights-out rating. It wasn’t on the menu, and heirloom tomatoes are very quickly running out of season, so if you’re on your toes, get there soon and try one. I should have grabbed a pic of their drink menu. There were quite a few interesting and yummy-sounding concoctions. I recall some gin and ginger drinks and an elderflower liquor. If any are as good as the bloodies, this place is well worth a visit.
