Bluewater Performance

This place was recommended by a couple of guy acquaintances who drive Audis or beamers. They did my brakes and were much cheaper than the dealer. I noticed how knowledgeable they are and even though I don’t know anything about cars I felt like I could trust them. I took one of their glass stickers in the color pink and is now the quarter glass of my car :) I love the logo it’s awesome why would I not want that on my car!!! The owner has the same car as me which makes me feel even more comfortable coming here since he knows what I have to deal with when ever I need to take it in! (well his is newer but it’s the same type of car, same model) I’ll be replacing the dealer with this place.

You can’t go wrong with these guys. They are incredibly knowledgeable and have plenty of examples at the shop to prove it. My entire experience with them was nothing but professional and I couldn’t recommend them more.

These guys are very knowledgeable and value their customers, they go above and beyond to accommodate the customer and will answer any questions promptly. They deserve more positive feedback and the quality of work is outstanding. A+ to this place!

Took our new GTI to Bluewater Performance for R springs & apr stage 1 chip. Magnificent. Project done on time at extremely reasonable cost. Outstanding performance boost. Gabe/​Bluewater was a pleasure start to finish.
That was April. This afternoon we picked up our 2001 Eurovan from Bluewater. They installed H&R rear springs & adjusted rusted-​tight front torsion bars (adjacent to gas tank; had to be torch-​loosened). Again: quality work, very fair price, on time, great handling improvement and enthusiasm.
Terrific shop.

Let’s be honest, it’s extremely hard to find a quality auto repair shop that is honest and trustworthy. I’ve been through it all with my VW and have taken it to countless places to get it repaired, the oil changed, new tires, brakes, etc. I want to give a few examples of why I love this repair shop. The staff/​technicians are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and truly made me feel like they would not let me leave with a car that they did not feel was 100%. I originally had a problem with my coolant system not working properly and also needed a new serpentine belt. I took it to a dealership and was quoted $ 1300 for the two repairs. When I asked for a breakdown of pricing they wanted $ 300 for the Serpentine belt (just the part which is $ 28 at Napa), $ 500 for the parts that needed to be replaced for the coolant system and $ 500 for the labor all while saying it would take 3 weeks to get it done (1 week to get parts from Germany?)! I decided to call an old friend who is a VW fanatic and asked if he could recommend any shops in the area that would do a good job. He told me to call Gabe and go check out Bluewater Performance and I did. Now here is what blew me away, when I asked Gabe how much he thought it would be to fix it he said «around $ 370» and knowing nothing about cars I asked him for the total price of everything, not just the price of the belt minus the labor. He looked at me again and said it would be around $ 370 for the parts and labor to fix my coolant problem and replace the serpentine belt. I was dumbfounded and told him to quit messing with me. Keep in mind here that I know absolutely nothing about cars and wanted a serious answer, he wasn’t kidding! He told me it would take a couple of days and around what I would be paying, so I left my car there for the repairs. Now what usually happens to me is I’m quoted one thing and called a few hours later telling me I need to shell out more because of a mix up. I was waiting for that call and it never came until the next day. When I answered the phone what I had come to expect from previous experiences is that I would be told I owe more than I was quoted and that they need more time, well it was Gabe and he told me my car was ready to be picked up. Again I thought something has got to go wrong! I caught a ride to the shop expecting the worst. When I arrived Gabe and one of his techs brought me to my car and showed me what they did and explained how they did it, all the while I was still waiting for the bad news. He walked me up to the front and surely in my mind I thought this is where it’s going to happen, this is where they were wrong and that I would owe significantly more than what I was told. Yet again I was fooled by Gabe and his crew, not only was my car done faster than what he had said but I was also well within his quoted price range. Bluewater had saved me 3 weeks of waiting and nearly $ 1000. I have since recommended Bluewater to everyone I know who owns a VW or Audi whether they asked me if I knew of a place or not. I really enjoyed my experience I had there and expect to bring my car to them if I ever need anything else done. I highly recommend that before you get screwed over by somebody else take your VW or Audi to Gabe at Bluewater to see what he says. I bet you will be amazed like I was!
