Absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had in this situation. 100% 5 star service, will never go anywhere else for key service. Couldn’t be more grateful for this great local business.

i have nothing but good things to say about this little gem of a local business. I found myself locked out of my Yakima Cross Bars that were mounted to my roof rack. After speaking to Yakima, I learned that I would have to get a locksmith to pick the lock (local estimates ranged from 60 – 85 bucks or more), order a control key from Yakima once the lock was picked in order to view the serial number on the lock core, and finally order the actual key from them that matched the serial number. The total cost probably would have been $ 100 – 120, two weeks of waiting on ordered keys, and lots of hassle.
Whew.
I stopped in at BVL&K on a whim and just asked if they would pick the lock. He did that within 10 minutes and charged me 10 bucks. When I explained the entire situation to him, he offered to remove the core and re-​key the whole thing for an additional 15 dollars. I was, needless to say, ecstatic. He completed the whole process within 30 minutes and I was a mere 25 dollars poorer. I could not have been happier with his efficiency, courtesy, and the fact that he didn’t rip me off, when he could have easily done so! While I was there, I had a few key copies made, which I had been meaning to do. It cost about $ 1.50 more than Home Depot but I was more than happy to support this family-​owned small business.

Yay for small business. I found this little gem when I was running to Home Depot to get a key made. I glanced over and saw a Lock and Key signed. I decided to head over. So glad I did. Great, super fast and friendly service. They also have a fantastic selection of key chains, key rings, and other accessories.
I left with a smile on my face, that is how it should be!
