Bear Creek Distillery

Bear Creek is located just off Broadway where it starts to get a touch industrial. When we were there they had a Wheat Vodka, Rye Vodka, Silver Rum, Cask Proof Rum, and a Spiced rum they use in a few of their drinks. We tried everything except the wheat vodka.
I’m not a big vodka fan as it usually all tastes the same, however the flavors in the rye vodka shine through. You can definitely taste the rye, and it adds a touch of banana flavor as well. It also has a nice mouthfeel and is very smooth. The silver rum is smooth as well and tasted quite good in the mojito I had. Their cask proof rum sat at about 120 proof. It was surprisingly drinkable for being such a high ABV, and you could taste the barrel flavors. My favorite was the spiced rum but they aren’t selling it yet. It had a very strong vanilla flavor and I would have definitely bought a bottle if they were selling it. The bartender also told us they’re working on a bourbon that’s about a year out.
The tasting room was nice a cozy. It has a lot of dark wood which gives it the mountain lodge kind of feel. You can also see their stills from the tasting room which is pretty cool as well. They have an impressive cocktail list, and it was worth the money. The best thing we tried was the Strawberry Balsamic Smash made with the rye vodka. It was one of the best drinks we’ve had in a long time.
I picked up a bottle of the Rye Vodka after trying it, and I’m going to try to make it back again to try more of their tasty libations.

We love the vibe of this place, the owners are superb, knowledgeable, and fun, and the drinks are amazing. We have their vodka at home and at our Cana Wine bar, people love it neat or on the rocks. Love that this place is in our «hood» so we can ride our bikes here! Yippee!

Hard to find, but not to be missed! This place is tucked away on Acoma a block from Colorado. Look for the ‘Old West’ style building with the big ‘Bear Creek’ on the front. You must… must…must go there.
First, the place is amazingly appointed with hand made wood accents, custom made… everything…and a still that looks like some sort of ‘Steampunk’ apparatus from a Jules Verne story!
The people are very friendly, helpful and full of energy! Willing to discuss the process, the products, how everything comes together, and educate you on everything they have.
Now the drinks! They make some of the best Vodka, Rum and Barrel Aged Rum I’ve had! And the cocktails they make, oh boy! The cocktails, like the alcohol, are all hand crafted. That’s the key here, ‘Hand Crafted’! No pre mixes, no store bought pre-​prepped nonsense. They squeeze fresh lemons and limes, they muddle and chop fresh herbs, and they grate fresh nutmeg on one of their drinks. They go the extra mile, and you can definitely taste it!
I highly, highly recommend this place as a must stop for anyone looking for a great cocktail! It’s worth the drive!

To qualify, I rarely give positive reviews, and I don’t know if I’ve given 5 stars before. I love this place. It’s in my neighborhood, it serves great cocktails that don’t take 15 minutes, and the service is fantastic. I don’t know if my jokes are funny or if D-​Bo (?) is just a really nice guy but he makes everyone feel right at home. Cheers. I can’t wait to try your whisky…

One of the best local distilleries, hands down! Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. And the atmosphere is cozy and perfect for hanging with friends. The drinks are top notch as well — some of the best handcrafted cocktails I’ve ever had.

The Red Panda has to be one of the best cocktails I have had in a long time. The rye vodka is fantastic!

Friendly bar staff welcomed me in and invited me to try a variety vodka samples. Absolutely delicious. I had the opportunity to try several drinks from my friends who were there, so I recommend going with other people. I wasn’t a fan of a couple drinks that I ordered, but loved the ones my friends ordered. Nothing wrong with the drinks, just a personal preference.
The wheat vodka was my favourite, but they’re all good.

Very good spirits and great cocktails. Went in on a slow night and was offered comp tastings of all the spirits in house. That is how you get people talking. Have been back again and with people that were first timers and again we were offered tastings of all the spirits. They also have a very cool logo and high quality merchandise. Place is very very cool and I look forward to them finishing up their Rye — I was told it would be coming in November, just in time for Xmas gifts.

The staff here are SO friendly and very knowledgable about the distillery business. They really try to make a product that is local, and is high quality. Their vodka is so smooth, you can taste the care and precision in just a taster.
The cocktails are incredible! The Red Panda has red bell pepper juice and basil in it, which I was skeptical of at first, but it was the best drink I’ve had! These guys are true mixologists.
They are more than happy to give you a tour and see how they make their vodkas.
I am excited for their whiskey release in a few months, as that is what I usually drink.
The only downside is it’s not closer to my house. I can’t wait to come back!

This is the best distillery tasting room I have ever been too. And possibly one of the best cocktail bars as well. It’s a beautiful and comfortable space that lends itself well to enjoying their very creative and seasonal craft cocktails. I have never heard of a 100% rye vodka before, so I was quite excited to try theirs, and it was absolutely fantastic! Nice spicy rye notes while still being smooth and very much a neutral spirit. We also tried their rum, wheat vodka, and their cask strength barrel aged rum! All were very impressive and left me longing to try their whiskey (due out in limited release this holiday season).
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Crazy delicious drinks. Incredibly beautiful copper and stainless still made by Kothe. Best distillery experience I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back and will bring all our friends. Do yourself a favor and check out BCD

Hidden gem! This little distillery is serving up quality spirits; craft cocktails created with both local and house made mixers. I can’t wait until their whiskey is ready! I’ll be back for sure

The building is new and beautiful. Very cool atmosphere and service is great. They have a really cool menu of unique and tasty drinks. Parking is also very easy and hassle free. Will definitely be coming back!

Must find this and check out. Hidden in warehouse ghost town off Sante Fe, on Acoma near Iowa.
I can’t stop thinking of the bloody mary with craft rye vodka and the real dill local pickle maker bloody mix.
Oh and the chai with fresh nutmeg and homemade spiced rum .
And the concoction with rye vodka, fresh grapefruit juice, grandmas house tonic, soda with a sprig of mint.

This place is spectacular! Very friendly people, awesome environment, and delicious in house Vodka and Rum! I highly suggest the Holla Mango or the Spiced Stormy.
