This 7 – 11 is by far the worst run 7 – 11 in Colorado. They stopped accepting manufacturer’s coupons on all tobacco. The Indian woman who works here will accuse you of having fake coupons, simply because she does not want to accept them. Keep in mind that these are coupons that tobacco companies mail to consumers, not print at home coupons. She has this whole routine where she attempts to «scan» the coupon and nothing happens; therefore«the coupon is fake.» This is such a scam because I have been using coupons at 7 – 11 for years. The cashier must enter the coupon into the computer and specify how much it is for; they can’t simply scan it in checkout mode like they would scan a red bull. This woman doesn’t even press the coupon button on the screen before her«coupon scan routine,» she just attempts to scan it with all the items that I am purchasing. I have witnessed her scam more times than I would care to remember and it is so rude. This store has raised their price on General Snus 165% in two months. This does not make sense because the gas stations on Colorado Blvd sell it for under $ 5 and a well know tobacco store chain sells it for around $ 3. Charging $ 6 for a product that is sold two miles away for $ 3 is criminal. They refused to sell me a $ 1 lottery ticket because they didn’t want to break a $ 20. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else if you want to be treated nicely and if you have any sort of tobacco coupons. All of the 7 – 11 stores on Colfax gladly accept tobacco coupons.

This 7 – 11 used to be our favorite, most convenient place to stop in and grab any number of miscellaneous items. Unfortunately, in the last several months it got bought out and the new owner, although very nice is not good at running this store. The new employees are usually rude and will spend a few more minutes talking on their cell phones or just ignoring the customer even if you’re standing at the counter patiently. Not only that, but ever since the new ownership they seem to be out of whatever it is I seem to need, whether it be milk, eggs or even the ATM has been inconveniently broken the last few trips. Even though I only live a few blocks away if I need to run out to the store to grab something small, I now go the extra few blocks to pick it up at a different convenient/grocery store.
