This is literally the worst 7 – 11 location you’ll ever find. It’s 24/7, except when the front doors are locked, which is most of the day. The back door is open when/if they feel like it. The stock is bad. If they’re «cleaning» the store they will literally slam the door in your face. They make a big deal about«no public restroom», and the girl manager of the store explains that the door is usually locked/people are turned away because«they don’t want to be jacked.» Avoid. I’d keep walking down E. Colfax if I were you — the 7 – 11 at 3177 E Colfax Ave I’ve never had even the slightest problem with, they have a better stock and you won’t have to deal with extremely rude/racist help there.

Since this is the 7-Eleven closest to Twist and Shout, my ‘other’ favorite money pit, err, business in Denver(read more: ), I have purchased my fair share of Slurpees here. On a summer afternoon, with money to kill and time to burn, I’ll usually stop here before heading over to the record store down the block. The store is spacious and has a unique set-up: the counter is in the center of the store, with aisles surrounding it. It’s like the Panopticon of convenience stores(which I totally love, in a very nerdy way). One potential drawback about this store is that it doesn’t sell gas, and with a RTD stop right out in front, it definitely favors the pedestrian over the motorist, but who am I to complain? I’ve also noticed an unusually high influx of law enforcement in and out of this store, which could be troublesome, but maybe there’s a cop shop nearby. Hey, until Dunkin Donuts decides to come to Denver, John Law can’t afford to be picky.
